So What Would You Do If You Won $550,000,000?
by Mary inok, so the mega millions jackpot is at half a billion dollars.
if you won and decided to take it in a lump sum, you automatically lose 40%, then there's state and federal taxes, so you'd actually get a 'meazly' $240,000,000.. what would you do if you won that kind of money?
other than donate a chunk to the world-wide-wit-lessing-work..........

We need to do everything possible to make sure JWFacts and any other apostate websites show up in the top 5 google search results when someone searches for anything relating to the Watchtower. Rite now a website called tower watch is #4 if you search "Jehovah Wittness" a search for "watchtower" has the entire first page of results dominated by official JW websites, Freeminds is second from the bottom.

blondie- I actually know a guy who did the same thing. He was gay, studdied, got dunked, got married, had 3 sons... 2 of them are openly gay the third is maybe 10 years old now.

The fact that gay marriage doesn't appear in the bible doesn't mean it condems it.
Ahhhh and therein lies the catch.
Premarital sex of *any* kind is an offence punishable by shunning. Certainly any sort of Homosexual erotic activity would be included in this. Currently a handful of states allow same sex marriage and they have done this by discounting the bible’s teaching of marriage being between a man and a woman and approving this union. The federal government in the US still does not recognize those marriages, in fact married gay couples still have to file as single on their federal income tax.
Beyond whatever biblical reason they have for not liking gays… they can stand behind the law and wrap that up with their moratorium on any sort of sexual contact between non married people.
I have heard of openly gay men being witnesses but claiming they live a life of celibacy. They are given absolutely no “privileges” and I actually think they are not allowed to go out in service as well. I could be wrong about the service thing. JW’s look at gays as if they were mentally ill.
However… I’m sure anyone who spent time at Bethel has some stories….

10 million would do the trick, frankly 5 million would do the trick but 10 would do it very well. It would fund:
- · Professional website with a marketing budget so it shows up on searches for ANYTHING about religion they get the Anti JW message
- · I would hire my own printing company to make glossy color informational brochures that would then be put into “informational kiosks” in everything from hospital waiting rooms to rest stop and restaurants
- · Billboards, radio advertisements, TV shows, Documentaries…
- · Recovery centers where people can go to un brainwash themselves
- · Shelter type setups for battered men women and children to go to when they finally have enough and leave without the approval of the elders.
- · Job and home placement services for JW’s who give up cleaning windows and actually
- · And finally… and this is my favorite… A Scholarship for Ex JW children to go to college.
I’m sure there’s a dozen other things I could do to put the money to good use, but honestly I think these things would really put the hurt on the group in the US. It would get major media attention if nothing else.
