THE GRAND APOSTATE "WALKOUT" - January 1, 2015
by RagingBull inafter knowing ttatt for many years now...i had made up my mind long ago that after 2014, i would no-longer subject myself to the boredom, pain, and frustration of following this cult...the wt...the borg.. so...i made up my mind that since the wtbts/gb makes such a big deal as to the "significance" of the year 1914 and this year 2014, there can be no greater time for me to leave it all behind.
i daydreamed of how awesome and telling it would be if everyone that could ( because i do know that some have personal circumstances of their own, as i did too) would just .... walkout...never to attend/step foot in a kingdom hall from that moment on.. independence day of sorts?
there is too much evidence, too many videos, blogs, books, news reports and lawsuits for me to keep lying to myself.

@ Johnamos - people cope in different ways. I guess the same could be said about you since you're on this forum right? Just because you READ forums on a JW and exJW site, does this mean you're still "IN"???
When I say I will be out (physically) after so many years of knowing TTATT...i mean it. So much that I will reveal my TRUE IDENTITY here for those that would like to FB friend me or whatever else. See, I am very real. I'm not a troll or someone that doesn't understand people's struggles. My Journey is my own. I don't expect anyone to FOLLOW ME or do what I do.
So if you're a person that's out -- good for you. I guess everyone leaves when they want to right? Would be sad if you left the ORG because you felt pressured.

For those who say "WHY WAIT?" or think that I'm "WHIMPING OUT" or something. Maybe I should give you more background.
Why 2014? Because from what a COBE (that had dealings with a GB member who is now deceased) told me recently, the WTBTS is DISAPPOINTED in the LACK OF SUPPORT for the upcoming INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION. Why so disappointed? - BECAUSE THIS IS THE 100th YEAR of CHRIST'S RULE, OUR KING. - his mentioning 1914 sparked my imagination a bit. "There's been situations where ELDERS have accepted their congregation members not going to the I.C. to attend one closer to their home (gas prices and all)"... the WT does not care about that, they don't care about you sweating in the sun or spending your $$$.. they want to make a BIG SHOW of it. It's like flaunting power, showing the USA that the WT is a bonafied powerful religion...not a whimpy cult or sect. They want people to be IMPRESSED. Overseas...they may be impressed, but (these are words used coming up...) "HOW WOULD IT LOOK IF WE DON'T GET FULL SUPPORT IN OUR OWN COUNTRY?" - meaning the BORG started in America... Governing Body, Brooklyn NY.... what will THE WORLD think if they see that even the US JWs are not loyal?
Why not leave sooner? --- My 1st emotion when I began learning TTATT was irrational, I was going to quit it all together in one day, the reason why? SILENTLAMBS.com (I hate pedos I'll just say that much) and JWFACTS helped me too. Also I care for my children and wife. If I were a single guy with little responsibility or care in the world - I may have left only after a few months...just so I could go crazy and do all that I dream. But this is something I decided to do rationally...calculating time, money, and opportunity to bring me to the perfect EXIT. But I can be a patient asshole and so I wanted to get this new BIBLE, see the reactions...listen for any new strange teachings (I got it all). And now I will experience my first and last Internation Convention in 2014. Cannot wait!
Whimping out? - mmmm, hardly. MOST of my family are "WORLDLY" siblings, cousins, friends, etc. So it's not like I wouldn't have a support system. But I just wanted to be sure of the EVIDENCE...how does it stack? How can I share bits or ask questions to and around my family to get them thinking in hopes that maybe they'll awake? How can I know and explain it to others? I wanted so much EVIDENCE and PROOF to pile on the WT (should elders or any JW friends ask) that they would be buried to oblivion beneath it all. ---- WE NOW HAVE THAT EVIDENCE and the WT KNOWS THAT WE DO! the GB are angry that they are losing their grip on members FAST. That is why so many changes are happening. That is why for 4 years each Assembly and Convention has at least 15mins dedicated to fearing "apostates". They are evolving to survive in the age of information.
I thought of getting the numerous documents, and printouts and links prepared for a JC HEARING - but there are enough of those on YOUTUBE right? Show them the UN stuff, the fact that you have Letters to BOEs (they know there's leaks), the Shepherd The Flock book,...We all know how it goes..."So, let me ask...Do you NOT believe that the Governing Body is the sole channel used by God to direct his EARTHLY ORGANIZATION???..." basically saying "fu(k your questions, are you loyal to our publishing company?"
Let me save them the trouble. LOL Many of our YOUTUBE exJWs are moving on. The web is full of EVIDENCE. But I never get tired of stories and experiences from exJWs.
I thought of FADING...that's a bit harder to do when a handful of people in almost every congregation in your district knows you and your family and in-laws.
I feel fully CONFIDENT and COMFORTABLE in just quitting SUDDENLY. Personally I feel this will have the biggest impact. I am not hateful or BITTER anymore toward ANY JW, because I know the WHYs for what they do. I will live happily and will SHUN any negativity brought to me BY THEM. I hope that my quitting will make people question WHY they are remaining in it, or to at least spark their journey into doing some RESEARCH to find out WHY SO MANY, who put in SO MUCH TIME and EFFORT are LEAVING in DROVES.
LUCKILY, i have personal APOSTATE friends and it is awesome sharing this experience with them. FINDING OUT ABOUT THEM, actually made me feel better about doing my own research. It was an "Oh shit! You too!??" moment for me! LOL It feels good to know you're not the only that sees something is wrong.
When I'm gone - I want others to think to themselves and smile saying "I KNEW IT! That's why he never reached out? That's why he was so friendly." and I can't wait to see how many learning "TTATT" reach out to me in private after they hear I'm gone!
2014 YEAR TEXT - "LET YOUR KINGDOM COME" 2015 YEAR TEXT?? --- will anyone really care? (in or out) .... funny- out around here the TEXT isn't even displayed on the platform - that's the WT not wanting to be called "false prophets" ;)
It's not about a date to me....I could leave now, but most would speculate "something happened!"..."Maybe it was adultery!"... it's about me basically saying "Fuck your GB and your 100yrs of bullshit! I walked thru that shit and said Happy New Year on 1/1/15 big deal! And you can keep the publisher card too, thank you!" all out of the clear blue.

INDEPENDENCE DAY of sorts? I think so. There is too much EVIDENCE, too many VIDEOS, blogs, books, news reports and lawsuits for me to keep lying to myself. I've become so numb to the power of the WT, that I know LAUGH whenever I read the material. When I view these men as JUST MEN. I wonder "HOW CAN I, A GROWN ADULT ALLOW MYSELF TO... LIVE FOR OTHERS????" I can no longer do this. I WILL no longer do this. I cannot be FORCED, THREATENED, or COERCED to "MEET WITH THE BROTHERS" and have a JC HEARING.
JANUARY 1st, 2015 - I TAKE BACK MY POWER AND ENERGY. MY LIFE. FREE FROM GUILT. FREE FROM JUDGEMENT FROM OTHER "IMPERFECT MEN" WHO ARE SPECIAL BECAUSE THEY SAY SO with NO EVIDENCE, and EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE AND OBEY.
Sunday, January 4 2015 begins a new era for me. On that day, the JWs will lose a member...I wonder how many more seats will be empty that day. 2014 will have come and gone...and the WT will still be trying to rake in the doe. And I will care no more.

that wasn't a dust cloud you saw; it was a millionfold hearts limply beating themselves into another round of great tribulation expectations.
i was knocked into a deep, deep sleep by the imagined experience of being at several thousand consecutive kingdom halls as the platformed drones spat forth the predictable sludge that, once released, hits and stains white clothing and bleach is useless.. we know that memorial attendance worldwide has dipped for two consecutive years since 2011 when it reached a high of 19,374,737 and for the promised land, obama's usa, the all time memorial attendance high was also 2011 when it hit over 2.5million (2,563,518) but shrunk in shame back to 2,502,055 in 2012 and spluttered upwards a handful or two to 2,504,114 last year.. so, what was attendance at the date-obsessed bore-fest this year in your neck of the woods?

No extra chairs needed. None in the 3rd room/hall, only a hand full in the 2nd hall (probably late arrivals) and the Main hall was "ALMOST" full. about 10-15 available seats..
Because ours was after 8:30pm most of the younger kids slept thru just about ALL of it!
Parking lot was not full.

on top of that, the assistance for my hall was the same as last year.
i don't see how they will break the 20 million mark.. also, with the current trend the brothers who partake publicly will most likely pass the 14,000.. how was the memorial in your part of the world?.

she fought against my parents becoming witnesses before i was born.
she owns the book 30 years a wt slave and suggested i read it.

They mentioned it at ours. about 13,000 give or take. Plugged JW.ORG too.
But was reeeeally great - the hall was not FULL. last year the Main, 2nd and 3rd Halls were filled. This year there were probably 10 or so empty seats and that's WITH visitors! LOL

Black sheep of the family-my life as an ExJW
by bsand20 ini was a 3rd generation jw, half the congregation i attended was made up of my entire mom's side of the family, 2 of the 3 elders were my grandpa and uncle.
my first memory of the organization was when they announced my mom's name in the meeting saying she had been reinstated....it was 1988 and i was 6 years old....i didn't understand it then, but when i asked my mom why was she crying and why did they say her name in the meeting, she said "it's because i've been good!".
so she went back and after a period of time assisting constantly, she was reinstated.

They (JWs) must cut off any DF'd ones altogether. There can be NO COMPROMISE!
This sounds non-beneficial for an organization bent on gaining members and in turn, money. You would think they'd admonish some form of communication with DF'd ones in hopes that they will come back to the love. Noooooo, not anymore (if ever).
We live in an age of technology, information...and the revealing of new truths that debunk scientifically, many things the WT needs in order to keep their memebers. Those who are DF'd, or Disassociate themselves, or become Apostates must be kept OUTSIDE and those INSIDE must not communicate AT ALL with these persons. Anyone who is not currently active COULD BE FINDING THINGS OUT about the org...and that knowledge cannot be imparted to their members no matter what relation you may have to them. This is a test of loyalty. They cannot AFFORD to lose members due to the uncovering of scandals and so forth.
You know something is wrong because they try so hard to keep it under wraps. Try so hard to not "debate" matters with anyone. If it is the TRUTH, it could stand against so-called "falsehood" couldn't it? hmmm...
