  I also agree they have planned already for the henchmen to get used to new wording ....."brazen conduct" and use this as a means to DF anyone who like me tells elders to F off if they want to talk to me in the future or generally dismiss any efforts to council or correct someone...I have just been blowing them off since I woke up over two years ago

  The WT's GB spent time pouring over and scrutinizing wording in the old NWT and found something WRONG with it....and they changed it

  The doctrinal changes that came with the last study WT..and all other changes that have happened over the years means also that they have poured over the doctrines, scrutinized them....and found something WRONG with them....and changed them....THEY have the luxury to do so....without consequences. ...if anyone else in the borg pours over wording of things...scrutinizes them....and finds something WRONG, and points it out....well we are demeaned, called names...and if we voice our disagreement in front of WT henchmen. .aka Elders....we get thrown out...with the act of disfellowshipping.

  i want to thank jehovah's witnesses new world bible translation committee for changing the words, "mentally diseased" as found in the 1984 edition of the nwt, to "obsessed with arguments," as found in 1 timothy 6:4 in the 2013 revised nwt.. on february 6, 2012, david splane, the overseer of the watchtower's writing department received an open letter from me which i posted below especially for new posters.

  the topic of my letter was in response to the writing department's statement that ..."apostates are mentally diseased" in their july 15, 2011 watchtower.

  the 1984 edition of the new world translation reads:.

  Interesting how WT teachings , words, and articles can be eloquently used to condemn their own flawed teachings and practices. They no doubt read a letter like that and easily shrug it off but we and other doubters who read it see it as a searing hot beacon of light that exposes how fraudulent the WT and its leadership truely are.

  Major goof in the Sept 1 WT article on Babel and the origin of languages

  just wanted to point out something that another poster brought up in the thread on the agm rumours, the writing department included a photo of a cuneiform tablet in their article on the origin of languages with a caption that states it is from 3000 bc.

  this would pre-date the global flood myth and the fanciful tower of babel story altogether, hah!.

  I recently read the couple verses just before the " fable of the tower of babel" in the NWT and it clearly states tbere were multiple languages before tbe confusion started in the "babel fairy tale" at least it reads that way to me

  i actually held a wt and followed along!

  like most here was able to pick out all the lies, deceptions and utter rediculousness of wt trying to say..."we didn't have it right before and we admitt it, but boy, we sure got it right now, even though we never have had anything right before".....you know....so fast forward to dinner with my sadly very mentally ill mother, who for lack of any intellect in the past was a very emotionally, mentally and physically abusive to me and my siblings, and a mental specimen of exactly what wt wants out of its adherents, leans to me and says, "the wt lately has been admitting how they have had things wrong in the past, it really is refreshing to see the changes which tell us how close we are.

  Ever since I have made it known the WT has blown any shred of credibility it ever had....she keeps trying to "witness" to me and if I try to reply, she tells me to just stop talking...she doesn't want to hear it....WT should be embarrassed this is the best they can get from their members...someone who has been a lifetime member but can't cope with any contrary dialogue so they bury their heads in the ground...sad indeed

  I forgot I also said truth should stand up to scrutiny. ..but WT detests being scrutinized. .its a DF offense

I know how you feel, but I wish you would read the articles...maybe they would help you"....so I said..."I was there today...I did see everything they said...and it is full of lies....you may just bury your head and refuse to look...but don't make it wrong for me to find out that the WT tells lies"..

  So she follows with.."where do you get your information...do you get it from apostate material?"

  I said.."how would you define what apostate is?"

  She sat back in her chair...thought for an unusually long pause and said.."someone who stops following what the bible says"...

  I replied.."well that's not me..the WT wants you to think an apostate is someone who tries to pull people away from them....to start their own following...someone who has bad intentions with fangs and big teeth and claws wanting to tear someone apart"....

  At this point she is shaking and convusing in disbelief....her color is changing....

  I said "the definition of apostate is simply someone who abandons one belief system for another...that's it"

  I said "if you want a perfect example of an apostate...jesus fit the definition of apostate to a tee...he changed everything from a jewish system of beliefs to a completely different one....christianity"...

  At this point she is shaking and convusing worse and I can see her thought bubble above her head imagining me suffering the most horrible death imaginable...and she told me to "stop talking...just stop talking"
