I used to give awesome talks...at least that was what I was told...but I never will again...I used to write talks up in 5 mins for the boys or girls....I still could in perfect JW lingo and indoctrinated nonsense. ...but my family won't trust me to do so lest I slip something in..."not WT approved" so I gladly sit unbothered by the drivel...

I made the same mistake at one time in my life to go back to the mythical "true religion"...I went back full bore and the reason? Lack of knowledge...not knowing TTATT...I was fooled into believing it as truth because I really wasn't immersed into it originally. Now I know way too much about it and I'm finding those I talk to still in have a wonderful way of glossing over the monumental signs that the truth ain't the truth.

OPEN CHALLENGE TO GB / FDS or anyone in the BORG
by Lied2NoMore ini openly challenge any annointed ones to use the holy spirit to come find this ms still considered in good standing in my congregation, and remove me for waking up to your bs and cultish ways.
i no longer believe in your doctrine, history, or the claim you are guided by holy spirit.
prove me wrong and come get me!!.

Well now I know why the GB still haven't come to get me...too busy re-doctrinizing and printing new bibles and all that important stuff...and they have kept themselves and three of their goon elders from getting the crap kicked out of them...

What Was Your First Experience In Exposing Yourself To "Apostasy"?
by minimus inas a young teenager, i would look at "apostate" books at the city library.
i was always intrigued as to what was sooo bad and other than a few writings of some that seemed like they hated the witnesses, i would clandestinely look at literature, especially in "christian" bookstores.. it took years for me to finally disconnect.
i will say that ray franz' books enlightened me the most!.

Very very first was back in mid 80's people would stand outside convention site with signs that had a 800 phone number to call..it was "answers for JW's" a weekly recorded message. I called every week for a long time. Was out for about 10 years. But I allowed myself to get reindoctrinated and went back! Stupid move. What broke my mind control and got me here and reading coc and isocf and other books was a bout with tremendous grief over family death. Now I'm free for life.

So Why Do You Think They Needed This New Revision?
by minimus inare they simply trying to make their bible more readable, or do you think there is a more sinister motive?.
-
Lied2NoMore
I also agree they have planned already for the henchmen to get used to new wording ....."brazen conduct" and use this as a means to DF anyone who like me tells elders to F off if they want to talk to me in the future or generally dismiss any efforts to council or correct someone...I have just been blowing them off since I woke up over two years ago

The WT's GB spent time pouring over and scrutinizing wording in the old NWT and found something WRONG with it....and they changed it
The doctrinal changes that came with the last study WT..and all other changes that have happened over the years means also that they have poured over the doctrines, scrutinized them....and found something WRONG with them....and changed them....THEY have the luxury to do so....without consequences. ...if anyone else in the borg pours over wording of things...scrutinizes them....and finds something WRONG, and points it out....well we are demeaned, called names...and if we voice our disagreement in front of WT henchmen. .aka Elders....we get thrown out...with the act of disfellowshipping.

Thank you New World Bible Translation Committee for removing the words, "mentally diseased" from 1 Tim. 6:4
by AndersonsInfo ini want to thank jehovah's witnesses new world bible translation committee for changing the words, "mentally diseased" as found in the 1984 edition of the nwt, to "obsessed with arguments," as found in 1 timothy 6:4 in the 2013 revised nwt.. on february 6, 2012, david splane, the overseer of the watchtower's writing department received an open letter from me which i posted below especially for new posters.
the topic of my letter was in response to the writing department's statement that ..."apostates are mentally diseased" in their july 15, 2011 watchtower.
the 1984 edition of the new world translation reads:.

Interesting how WT teachings , words, and articles can be eloquently used to condemn their own flawed teachings and practices. They no doubt read a letter like that and easily shrug it off but we and other doubters who read it see it as a searing hot beacon of light that exposes how fraudulent the WT and its leadership truely are.
Well done

So, the (N)NWT is gray in color?
by undercover inokay, perusing the threads about the special meeting and new bible, i see that the new bible is gray.. gray?
gray?
as in - dull?

The color reminds me of the skin tone of a mortician I used to work for at a funeral home. Pale and corpse-like.
Eerie indeed.....:-D

IF YOUR LURKING AND STILL A PART OF THE WT ORGANIZATION....ISN'T THIS AN EMBARRASSING FACT ABOUT YOUR RELIGION???
I am not DF'd or DA'd...I am inactive for life by choice. My mind is free from captivity from WT...and it feels great!!!

Major goof in the Sept 1 WT article on Babel and the origin of languages
by marmot injust wanted to point out something that another poster brought up in the thread on the agm rumours, the writing department included a photo of a cuneiform tablet in their article on the origin of languages with a caption that states it is from 3000 bc.
this would pre-date the global flood myth and the fanciful tower of babel story altogether, hah!.
-
Lied2NoMore
I recently read the couple verses just before the " fable of the tower of babel" in the NWT and it clearly states tbere were multiple languages before tbe confusion started in the "babel fairy tale" at least it reads that way to me
