I doubt I'll ever see this, but relaxing the rules on sex might get them more "salesmen". You know, IUD's are okay, artificial implantation, more adoption, lving together without being married so that this might produce a few more book peddlers, etc. They might relax the rules so people can go out in service even if they don't believe the WT or still live immoral lives. Heck, we might see them hire strangers to do the work. What a trained army the Avon, Mary Kay, Kirby vacuum cleaners, GIRL SCOUT COOKIE SALESPEOPLE, and many others would make. Already trained to sell what people often don't want or need, and eager to do so. What do you think?

by Elsewhere inthere was an article, i believe in the awake!, that talks about a hypothetical medical worker who in a hypothetical situation comes to find out that a jw has accepted a medical procedure that is not accepted by the wts.
this hypothetical worker must decide where or not she will report the hypothetical violation to the elders.

I apologize ahead of time for my anger and quasi-violent thoughts. It comes with the territory and isn't the OT filled with the violent acts of a god that acts like a jealous, tantruming child every time you turn the page? My daughter was raped when nine years old by a JW and no one ran to tell anyone. When I tried to warn other parents (his arrest had already appeared in the newspaper) most accused me of gossip. I have never seen a more idiotic, mentally disturbed group of people in my life. And I am qualified to say this. I have a degree in psychology, am publishing several books, and am going for my doctorate. I will leave out any claims of high IQ in the interest of not being called proud, but I have had to resort to laying all my credentials on the table at times when confronted with the ignorant brains of many JW's who try to reason with me. My soon to be ex-wife is a nurse and I don't know her feelings on confidentiality. I do know that if my privacy was ever compromised in a medical situation, the JW guilty of doing so would need medical help himself/herself.
Much of this boils down to the erroneous beliefs of JW's that they have/are the truth and that they own the universe. But their biggest error is that they do NOT speak for God and therefore there is no "issue" of choosing to keep their stupid mouths shut versus telling the elders. And I love the posts about the qualifications of the elders. I can count on one hand the number of elders I know who have any college education. Even if the WT was the truth, why would anyone go to the elders? What do they know? Their handling of the child abuse situation if proof enough of that. My daughter is now ten years older than when she was raped and is still in therapy.
I no longer believe in God or the Bible. But I can argue it with any JW and they will never win. I don't care if God himself said that abortion was wrong for a rape victim, I'd tell him where to go. There is no reasonable person in the world who could expect a 10 year old girl to bear a child due to being raped, face high school with a young child, and all the other things that go along with that. I don't give a damn what the OT says. We don't live under the OT anymore anyway, is that not true?
Mary has no business working in the medical field if she can't keep her jackass mouth shut. The laws of Caesar (privacy for the patient) are MORE important than the WT's understanding of the Bible, which is faulty at best. Even if God required her to report, she should find another job. EVERY person has the right to privacy. If God doesn't like it, then he can fix everyone's medical problems and none of us will ever have to be in the position of possibly having our privacy compromised. Mary should wash toilets just like most of the elders should be doing. I'm not belittling janitorial work or those that do it. I'm not worshipping college. People are what they are, and we are what we are born with and what we develop in our lives. My point here is that people are attempting to take on responsibilities for which they are clearly not qualified. They (the WT) also mocks those who ARE qualified, usually an ex-JW or some "worldly" person who doesn't agree with them. If you want a really good laugh and proof of this, look up the sites that quote the medical teachings that once appeared in the Watchtower and Awake. I won't go into it much here, but as a side point, why the hell is the WT getting involved in non-spiritual issues anyway? They once wrote in a 1943 WT that man would never escape earth's atmosphere, yet less than 30 years later, we walked on the moon. I don't remember any apostle writing anything about scientific issues, speculations about life on other planets, and other topics. (Pardon the tangent, it's just so tempting and easy to pull the trigger when they so eagerly love to wear a bullseye every time they open their ignorant mouths.
Mary wants to "keep the congregation clean"? Again, then let her clean the bathrooms. Seriously, doesn't the intentional cover-up of child abuse bring more reproach on the congregation than if one person quietly gets an abortion or takes blood, something that hurts no one, as compared to child abuse? What is the public more disturbed about, child abuse or taking blood? If anything, they hate JW's for NOT taking blood, not for taking it.
Gill, I loved your comments. Maybe Jesus is coming again, and this is another immaculate conception? No, that can't be right. Mary knows everything, having an IQ of 200, so she couldn't possibly do or think anything wrong. JW's would have made good agents for the KGB, with their desire to spy on the "enemy", whomever that is to them. JW's shouldn't ever be allowed to work in any job that requires privacy. I mean, if I owned a large corporation, what would stop a JW from giving trade secrets to my competition if he thought my company wasn't approved by god and the other company was? And maybe JW's shouldn't be allowed to be doctors or lawyers. If they have so much trouble keeping their big mouths shut, then why work in a field that might cause this type of problem?
I read 1984 seven times and loved it. Is this what JW's are coming to? I know it's the world they would like to see someday, but I'll never put up with it. When my child was called a liar and a whore by a pioneer husband and wife, I went to the elders to have them removed or at least punished. They refused to get involved. I almost got DF'd for telling people that the brother raped my child, but the spineless elders wouldn't tell two "exemplary" publishers not to slander my child (which later increased her need for therapy). I'm not proud of this, but I am Sicilian and have a temper. I actually had to threaten the brother and sister that if the verbal abuse didn't stop, I'd stop it myself, even if I was arrested for how I did it. And I meant every word. They did shut up, but he was made an elder and left the area. I don't advocate my methods as a regular thing, but has child abuse, slander, and other gross miscarriages of justice in the congregation become so bad that in order to get justice or to protect our rights, I have to invite some jackass JW to experience the resurrection as his personal means of obtaining eternal life?
Gill, yes, let's tell the whole country of JW's about the UN scandal. Let's mail every JW a letter directing them to Silent Lambs and Freeminds. Since JW's are so eager to always know the latest "truth", let's make sure they do. How about a weekly newsletter published by me and emailed to every JW I can find? I wonder if they'd like that? The person who said to "wait on Jehovah", that was great! That's what the WT and the elders tell us about child abuse. Yes, let's wait while another several thousand children are abused or molested. That makes a lot of sense, right? If child abuse can "wait on Jehovah", then Mary can keep her big, fat, stupid mouth shut and "wait on Jehovah". If she can't do that, then FIND ANOTHER JOB!!
I think I'll stop now before I get really annoyed. I'm going to cover all of this and far more in my books anyway. The best advice I can give anyone is to warn all your friends and neighbors about this sick cult. Email everyone on your list. And when you go to the doctor or a lawyer, ask about their staff and warn them if they have JW's onboard that they may be opening themselves up a one major lawsuit if they keep them as an employee. Maybe a few hundred JW's losing their jobs would teach them that non-JW's have rights and to mind their own ****ing business. Good luck to all.

The hypocrisy of this cult never ceases to amaze me. How any group of people could be so willfully blind while gloating over the coming deaths of 6 billion people just because they didn't understand God's purpose (who can after reading the WT?) is absolutely wicked. My child was raped at the age of nine by a known sex pervert in the area, a JW in good standing, and my child was called a liar and a whore. All attempts that I made to get the elders to speak with these "Christian" adults fell on deaf ears. I know several people who are going to die if justice is done by God. I am writing several books exposing this cult. I have a degree in psychology and have done thousands of hours of research. If my health permits me to live another 30 years, the WT will be destroyed. I swear, if I hear of one more young person committing suicide because their parents wouldn't speak to them because they got DF'd for reporting being abused, some people are going to be very, very sorry. I know you want to keep this forum kind (within limits) but I will say if something happens to some of the guilty people, you won't hear me cry about it. JR Brown is a sorry excuse for a human being. "Aggressive policy against child abuse, my *ss." "We report it where required by law." Doesn't the WT claim to be morally superior to the world? Elders in EVERY state should immediately report anything they hear about. Why would any "righteous" elder need a law before he'd report chld abuse? And what's with this 2 witness crap? Have they never read Deut. 22:25-27? Sounds like there doesn't need to be 2 witnesses here.

Elder Criticizes Going To Get Together If A Worldly Person Is There!
by minimus inmy mom told me that an elder said in his public talk on sunday that we need to stay separate from the "world".
evidently, the buzz is that there was a part being given by an unbelieving husband that has been recently attending meetings with his wife.
the issue was not that this man invited most of the congregation and they went (including the elder and his family) but that one fellow unbelieving husband who is being studied with did not get invited because he was "worldly and still smokes".

Right, I live an hour from Brookly Bethel and on every street corner, I trip over all the soup kitchens and shelters that the WT operates. The Santas that stand outside during the Christmas season do more good than the WT does. If they are not changing their policy, then why the need for a letter? If their work is so well known, understood, and accepted, why must they remind everyone of what they are doing? (Or not doing, in this case.) What hypocrites. "Congregations clearly meet this requirement"? Yeah, in whose opinion?? Only the WT's. Even their grammar and quality of letter writing has decreased. The word is "objectives", not objects. How do you achieve an object?? Oh, sorry, I forgot. They are the most educated people on earth, having most of their members obtained a high school diploma. How can I argue with that with just a Doctorate in Psychology? "Teaching respect for persons...."? I guess it's respect if you molest children, you are showing them you love them, right? Forgive my bitterness, my daughter was raped when nine years old and we endured the usual BS. My wife is divorcing me for researching the web (Silent Lambs and Freeminds) and sharing what I found with her. Her response? "I want to serve Jehovah and he will take care of the bad elders someday." Idiot. If molestation doesn't stop, I'm going to take care of some elders now. "Maintenance of personal morality"? Don't make me puke. This sounds like one of those 180 degree turns that they call "amplifications, adjustments, deeper explanations, etc." These perverts would make great politicians, they are masters at double talk and lying. I highly suggest all of you read George Orwell's book "1984". I swear, you would think he knew the WT inside out, but he wrote it in 1949. I just finished my BA in Psychology and learned many things about this issue. I don't know if it's always just learning that the WT has lied or obtaining information about their history on the Internet that we didn't know when we got baptized. ( I am also a network engineer and have spent thousands of hours researching the WT and child abuse for my college work and also because my daughter was raped by a JW and the typical nonsense occurred such as is described on Silent Lambs.) I have found that many leave because they evolve emotionally, but more importantly, psychologically, beyond the need they once had to "belong" or to "find the meaning of life". I have worked with people of high IQ's and great education, yet they became JW's and remained so for decades. It is obvious to most people that this religion cannot be the truth. The analogy might be silly to some, but if an impartial alien landed on Earth, read the Bible and studied human history, that alien would never choose the WT as the truth. If "religion was taken to court", so to speak, it would lose, especially this one. I have discovered from my research that most people leave because some straw breaks the camel's back (in my case, the ill treatment of my daughter, her being called a liar and a whore by servants and pioneers and the elders' refusal to discipline these "exemplary people" <vomit, vomit>) and my being punished for criticizing the policy of the WT instead of the elders fixing it. They also leave becaue they outgrow the need to be "love-bombed" and realize that in reality, the WT violates the Bible teaches that they so piously claim to be the only ones on earth obeying. When people grow older, they tend not to tolerate hypocrisy so easily. And one excellent point is that if someone has nothing to lose, the WT cannot punish him anymore. I no longer believe in God, I don't fear God or the devil, and don't care if I live or die. Much of this is due to the depression that struck me when my family left me after I quit the JW's. I have undergone treatment and am basically cured, but realize that we all die eventually and I don't want to serve a god who would use such a perverted cult to do his work. The WT cannot hurt me any longer. I now plan to write a book about my experience and have already arranged for media coverage of the book and future appearances on TV, radio, and newspapers. Being familiar with the Internet, I know how to "get the word out". I just hope I can save the dozens if not hundreds of potential abuse victims before it is too late. If the public is warned about this cult and how it operates, then maybe our children will be safer. PS I appreciate all the comments here and especially all of Randy's hard work to keep freeminds running. It's nice to be able to talk with people who think for themselves and use their brains. It's also nice to be able to have an opinion without worrying about being reported to the Brooklyn Gestapo.

To FredHall: I am an ex-JW and don't usually spend much time here. The reason is that if I left the WT because it is not God's organization, and I spend the rest of my life campaigning against it, then I haven't really left it. It would still be controlling the rest of my life. But I felt I had to reply to your posts. If you are a JW, then you are behaving like a child and a "naughty" JW by even visiting sites like this. It's also not "Christian" to act like a snotty punk. You are not as tough as you act. If you doubt this, I can find several people who would enjoy teaching you some manners, but they would never hit a girl. If you are not a JW, but have some other reason for acting like a jackass, then that is your right. After all, one of the things in life that makes me appreciate my life, my family, my talents, and the other good things that I enjoy is the ability to look at people like you and be thankful that I am not you. If you want to do something constructive with your life, you should attend medical school and become a proctologist. Then all day long your work would consist of looking at patients and being reminded of who you really are. On days off, you could look in a mirror and pretend you were at work. The WT is going down, call the nearest hardware store and get new parts for your head.

If you are not a JW, then this may explain your lack of knowledge concerning pedophiles in the WT. At any rate, I have followed Bill's story for months and I don't see what is wrong with what he is doing. As for you suggesting he start a "club", why don't you stick to pertinent points? Being a wise guy doesn't diminish the problem of molesters being protected by the WT. If you don't have something intelligent to say, and you obviously don't, then why don't you just SHUT UP??
