I keep getting a "web site under construction/maintenance". Does anyone have another link for the book with hand written notes? I'm now working on my book and I am eager to obtain this information. Thank you in advance.

A NEW Flock book has been released, with notes by a Presiding Overseer
by Elsewhere infor several years there has been available a pay attention to yourselves and to the flock book in pdf and html format.
this book has proven to be extremely valuable in exposing the morally questionable activities of the watchtower society.
now we have a new version that is even more valuable because it contains the hand-written notes of a presiding overseer, some notes as recent as late 2005. these notes are frequently dictated to elders by a circuit overseer or district overseer in order to avoid liability (the wts can deny every giving such instructions).

August KM provides solid evidence of declining JW morale
by sir82 inas you may or may not recall, the february '07 km (for the us) had a huge article, taking up the full 4 page insert, on the "blessings" of auxiliary pioneering.
the part covering that insert took up the entire service meeting (aside form the announcements).
the "encouragement" was that the us branch had set a goal of 160,000 auxiliary pioneers for the month of april ("if only one of every 6 publishers signs up, we can make it!")..

"How long can you cry wolf?"
Some will cry wolf until they die of old age. Others won't stop unless someone or something stops them.
My guess is most JW's will stop when they die. (Still in this system, no Armageddon.)

Depressed witness going door to door
by I quit! inthis morning i saw a witness mother and her son heading out into service.
from the area they were in i think they were going to be doing some street corner work.
i was stopped at a light when they walked in front of my car.

To moomanchu: Yes, they love those cute little kids, especially the little girls in their "sunday best". The real shame is that the father who is teaching his little girl how to place a magazine might be molesting her later that night. They all look so cute on the porch, but at home, it often changes.

I just wanted to thank everyone who liked my comments or emailed me. As you all know, when you lose your family due to shunning, you lose much of your life. Most of my friends and relatives were on my wife's side, as was the mechanic for my expensive car. Now I'm on my own and have to make friends again, which I like to hope I do easily. But you also have to learn to date again, and after 30 years and almost 60 years old, it's a whole new game. Maybe someday the WT will be sued for emotional abuse and lose and then when they pay every victim five million dollars, they will stop acting like other churches that they attack.
Again, welcome to the new people. You can learn a lot here. There are very sensitive and caring people on Freeminds.

Hi Chad and welcome. You will find true comfort and information here, unlike anything the WT puts out. Don't believe everything you read here. We have some JW spies so you might want to hide your identity or not tell more than is necessary. Some of the JW's are obvious because you can see right through their arguments. But some are more clever. Some of them finished high school and while they are working at McD's, they try to dream up ways to get new people to confide in them, sometimes by using email on the side. Most people here are decent, kind, and have done their research. There are TONS of pages and links here. I have found this site to be one of the most useful on the Internet. Randy used to work at Bethel and he runs Freeminds now. He's a very good man.
The best way to learn this site is just to keep clicking and visiting all the links. When I taught computer networking, that's what I told my students to do. You can learn tons of stuff just doing that. I hope you find answers and comfort that will help you here. My best to you.

Very good points, I quit. At all the meetings, and especially the conventions, we always see a family interviewed who just LOVE field service. But they are "being paid". They are not typical. I have a degree in Psychology. Of course the kid is depressed. Teens are very sensitive to peer pressure. They don't want to be going door to door. Maybe 60 years ago, some kids found it fun, but I doubt it. But now after all the lies and false predictions, who wants to be associated with this demented cult? I'd be ashamed to have my name associated with the WT. It's the same as being known as the neighborhood Nazi, KKK member, or pedophile.
It most definitely qualifies as child abuse. Unfortunately, it will take decades of lawsuits before this goes to the Supreme Court with enough psychologists getting involved to make the WT extinct. Jesus was baptized at 30 years of age. Why does the WT brag about 9 year olds being baptized? How can a kid who doesn't even know about puberty yet make a decision that if he changes his mind, will cost him his family? How many have ended up in mental hospitals or have committed suicide? I'd sue every JW parent and the WT if I thought I could win. I do know that if I hear of one more suicide that someone in Bethel is going to pay.
My child was raped at the age of nine by a pedophile known to the local elders. They knew he was doing work in my house yet didn't warn me. Since we are always being encouraged to believe the Bible (which I don't) I think I'll use the "eye for an eye" or maybe the Mosaic Law where sexual perverts were killed.
If the kid wants to be a JW when he turns 18, fine. It's his life to throw away. But parents don't have the right to inflict this abuse on helpless children. If the kid argues, he's beat by the father "with the rod". I used to see this all the time at the conventions when I worked security. I know now, since I've been out for years, that if I ever see ANY child hit with a stick, I'm taking the father out. I've seen infants and toddlers SLAPPED ACROSS THE FACE in 100 degree heat because they wouldn't sit still. I knew of babies dying in the sun because their parents were too stupid to sit in the shade. "It's Jehovah's will that we be here for this spiritual food." The only food they deserve is bread and water, served 3 times daily in prison.
Another aspect of abuse is teaching children to hate the world and to be intolerant. They actually gloat over the fact that 6 billion people will die at Armageddon just because they weren't stupid enough to become JW's. What the hell kind of love is that? Does anyone here want to live for eternity on a planet with only these lunatics? I'd rather be dead.
Welcome, sweetface, you remind me of my 22 year old daughter who now won't talk to me because I'm being shunned for writing a book exposing these psychologically sick people. I guess you didn't experience much of that "Christian joy" from sharing your "hope" with the neighbors, did you? I bet you also prayed that the doorbells didn't work or no one was home, right?
Missanna, you might be a classic example of clinical depression. Normal children usually are happy, energetic, and friendly. If we look at JW children, we see so many problems that they could be in therapy for life. (And sometimes they are, IF they don't kill themselves first.)
Arthur, I'm sure that 80% of the rank and file want out, but don't know how. They don't want to lose their families. I lost mine. But it's the price you pay to keep your integrity. My wife defended the elders who didn't warn us, saying that Jehovah will take care of them in his due time. I have no respect for anyone ignorant enough to follow that thinking. The WT attacks other churches the second the news breaks, but when THEY have the pedophiles, then we are supposed to wait for God. Why the difference?
Arthur, you made some good points. "Hey kids, DO NOT look out the front window." Where do you think they will all go? The Internet is the greatest blessing I know. (I'm also a Microsoft Systems Engineer and LOVE the 'Net.) The Internet lets us learn about the old books, the lies, and it gives us and the world the "real truth". That's why the WT demonizes it so much. They know it will bring them down someday. Unless they've changed, their site doesn't have a provision for sending them email. Can you imagine how much they'd receive each day?
The Bible doesn't speak much of Jesus doing anything spiritual until he was 30 years old. I wish the WT would actually open the Bible some day (a real one, not theirs) and see that there isn't much support for dragging kids out in service in the NT. Or maybe I missed something. Did Paul bring groups of kids with him on his travels? I'm sure the parents would have loved it if their kids had been on that shipwreck. Wow, what a story that would make for the next summer's convention.
To all those young ones out there (and anyone else who feels the same): You have my deepest sympathy for what is being done to you.

Rutherfordian Science
by AlanF inthe wise man j. f. rutherford wrote about the "cause of the flood" in his 1927 book creation (pp.
here he informed us of "jehovah's" view of the scientific "annular flood theory" of one isaac newton vail, which the watchtower society had been promoting for decades:.
annular means that which has the form of a ring, or ring-shaped.

To Amazing: BTW, I loved your story about how you got out of the WT. The Creation book was a joke. I laughed so hard I almost broke my ribs. Check out the section on how oil came about. Something about 7 "rings of carbon" or something. The WTS is SO stupid that it's a wonder they have any members at all.

13-yr old girl writes: example of Witnesses lying
by Dogpatch ini get emails like this all the time.
some jw gets upset at the stuff on my site, and wanting to add more weight/shock value to what they say, they either mention in passing that they are "not one of jehovah's witnesses" or are a child.
this one claims to be a 13-yr old girl!

Justhuman: Maybe. Or else she put down her IQ instead of her age. Either way, it's a joke.

How Did Being Referred To As A Brother Or Sister Make You Feel?
by The wanderer in<!-- .style1 { font-family: arial; font-size: 18px; color: #009933; } .style2 { font-family: arial; font-size: 16px; color: #009933; } .style3 { font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; } .style4 {font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-style: italic; } --> how did being referred to as a brother or sister make you feel?the term brother always reminded me of being in some militant or holy roller religion.
during my tenure as a jehovahs witness, i brought it to the elders attention to refer to .
me by using my first or last name when addressing me.

The WT conductor was being a jerkoff. I would have called him "Mr. Surname" or "sonny boy" since she was older. If he wants to play games, then play.
She could have really gotten him good with a "Sister Surname" right back at him. She then could say since he doesn't seem to get titles or genders correct, then neither should she. What an ass.

Intelligence of Witness Material
by choosing life inwhen i started attending the meetings, i was in college.
i would use any excuse i could to get out of the watchtower study.
i couldn't believe they wanted me to read the article at home and underline the answers and then i had to sit and listen to them read it aloud again and give the same exact answers they underlined in the magazine.

I was a book study conductor for several years. I found the studies excruciatingly boring. First, if you study as a family for the WT, you will have the paragraph read by your wife or kid. Then you ask the question and someone answers it. You look up every scripture even though you know what it says. The answer is always "textbook" correct as someone said.
Then you go to the meeting and if I was the reader, I had to read it again. Then you listen to the parrots read the answer, sometimes even having someone read the ENTIRE paragraph as his answer. Even if the person put it in his own words, if the article was boring, everyone died a second death. And maybe the conductor would elaborate or highlight a point that everyone already understood, further adding to the brain numbing.
At the end of the study, there were a few review questions, where everyone had to hear the question/answer thing AGAIN!! To add to the repetition, the brother saying the closing prayer might include a comment about some "new light" that we all learned in the WT study and thanking God (the FDS) for this great "gift".
THEN, some pioneer might start a discussion in the car going out in service about a new point learned that day. That would start more comments. And if the WT article was part one of two or three articles on the subject, you had to review what was learned the week before.
So you might end up discussing something 7 or 8 times before it finally died. And the irony might be that the "new light" wasn't understood or agreed with by many/most people because it was just another flip-flop (again). It was sheer agony.
Dumbing down? I'd say the studies were at a third grade level. Even new people would leave after the talk or tell me after the WT study that it was boring and "how did we tolerate it"? Heavy meds might help. It's no wonder that most people I was ever in service with would place the Awake mag. on top of the WT, since the WT had nothing of use in it for the public. (And usually for any JW either.)
What a waste of good trees!!
