Wing Commander: I'm glad you enjoyed the experience. But please don't worry about the Scarlet Wild Beast being in bed with you. There are enough liars among the GB and elders in line or who already have been with her and then ran when they were found out. When you count all the Bethelites, elders and GB members already in bed with her for decades, and how many are in line already, you'd never even come close. Frankly, I'm surprised that the bed hasn't broken from all that weight. I'm sure the bed is either a "hide-away" bed or else an inflatable bed. There's more than enough hot air at Bethel to blow up the bed whatever its size.
Happy Holidays to you and may 2008 be a good year for all of us.

To Nathan: I agree with you 100%. When I studied astro-physics in college, it was proven beyond any doubt that the animals and mankind were here millions of years ago. I know the WT tried to play games when questioned about dinosaurs and what happened to them. One speaker said they died off before the animals we see today were created. If they weren't wouldn't the dinosaurs had eaten most of the life we see around us now?
Another speaker said the dinosaurs drowned in the flood of Noah's time. So why didn't Noah bring 2 or each into the ark? Doesn't the WT know how big these animals were?
Even if we leave out the dinosaurs, all of the animals he was supposed to have put into the ark, the food needed for them (and remember that some are carnivores and they weren't going to be happy with a salad made of straw and cow's milk to drink. None of the animals reproduced, thereby crowding the ark even more? How did 8 people clean up all the waste from these animals? It has been estimated by some that it would take 50 men working 24 hours/day to shovel and dump it all outside, and even then they couldn't keep up. So when the ark settled and the water went away, there would certainly be a mess all around them.
I hope these points help to tie together the whole "date issue" about how long man or animals were on the earth and when they were created.

Watchtower says JW's can reach different conclusions & it's fine!!!
by Must obey! inwatchtower study article "responding to your conscience" (october 15, 2007, pages 25-29, studied december 3-9, 2007) .
dealing with, inter alia, oral sex, contained what i thought was an interesting new way of describing how jw's can form their own personal, and different, conclusions and that no one needs to be 'disturbed' by this.
i have never seen the watchtower describe it quite this way, even in relation to conscience matters like whether to attend a church wedding.

Concerning the section "AllTimeJeff" quoted, I can't believe they are serious. The elders do NOT have anything at heart except to parrot the usual garbage that they've been taught by the CO at their meetings or in one of their "secret" letters.
If the elders cared about the congregation, they would tell them all to quit this cult, and to FOLLOW THEIR OWN INTERPRETATION OF WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT HOW TO SERVE GOD.

SHUNNING: How Jesus treated non-believers vs. how the WT treats them
by mcsemike ini have a question.
the wt insists that its members shun those who don't believe anymore and also to avoid those who don't believe but were never associated with jw's.
then why did jesus spend half his life speaking to the pharisees and non-christian people he met on a daily basis?
-

Drew: I agree. Their beliefs/doctrines/policies become law because they don't know enough about the Bible to see for themselves what it says. Jesus warned about false teachers that claimed to come in his name but didn't do the right things. He said to avoid them. The Jews would have stoned them.
I remember them saying way back that if you read the Bible and didn't look at the 7 volume Sin Sc, you were wasting your time, but if you read those 7 books of manure and didn't read the Bible, you'd know the truth.
I never thought I'd see the day when ANY religion put its teachings above the Bible and still claim to be Christian. They all need years of therapy.

SPEEDING UP THEIR OWN DEMISE?
by Dansk inwe all know the majority of the society's elders are absolutely useless when it comes to dealing with family matters and as i was sat here reading a number of posts it suddenly occurred to me that watchtower may have started to speed up its own demise.. before i exited my old congregation a young elder was appointed.
he was married without children (they don't want any).
after i exited i heard of another young elder who was appointed (they, too, have no children and i don't think they want any either).. the service overseer was a young elder (a right big head and son of the p.o.).

Dansk: I agree with you. Not only are they useless, but they are harmful. They give bad advice, try to control every JW's actions, no matter how private, and they then have the arrogance to claim that "Jehovah told them to do/say it." And then the poor victim goes away believing that Jehovah wants them to do something and since they couldn't because it bothered their consciences, they have a breakdown and some commit suicide.
I wonder how much blood is on the hands of the GB starting in the late 1800's? The hypocrisy is astounding.

I read the suggested material. Thanks for the links. It gave me something to think about and to use in the future.

I have a question. The WT insists that its members shun those who don't believe anymore and also to avoid those who don't believe but were never associated with JW's. Then why did Jesus spend half his life speaking to the Pharisees and non-Christian people he met on a daily basis? And more importantly, why is it okay for Jesus to have spoken directly to Satan?
It's bad enough that the WT encourages shunning your own family and not to read anti-WT material that comes from other humans. But I wonder how the WT would view a JW who spent time talking with Satan, whether they were still in good standing or had been DF'd or DA'd? Isn't it far more dangerous and wicked for a "good" JW to talk to the "top demon" than to a parent or sibling?
What does anyone think about this?

Well, The Elders & Circuit Overseer Came By Tonight To See If We Are Celeb.
by Lady Liberty inhello dear friends.... well..the saga continues!!
as many of you know last new years the jws attacked our "frosty" and egged our home.
" the co said, "so you are both not willing to meet with the elders..?".

To Wednesday: I agree with you. The sooner we could have realized the WT's uselessness and utter stupidity, the sooner we could live better lives. I think much, if not all, of the fear JW's have of the WT is the mistaken belief that God is really using them no matter what. Once that falsehood is exposed and a person's heart sees what really happened to it, then it's much easier to tell them all to go to hell.
I've said for years that the only thing most people understand and react to is force and/or confrontation. Once a few JW's see someone tell a CO to go to hell or questions him like he was a criminal (most are) then they start to see that God didn't strike someone down with lightning. Perhaps this will encourage those who are sitting on the fence to get off of it and quit this cult.

Dear Lady: I loved your story. The WT must be getting desparate to have such ignorant, snotty, and arrogant a**holes (pardon MY German) for Circuit Overseers. That CO sounds like he's barely potty-trained. Tell them to come down here to Florida. We use palm trees for Xmas trees and run the A/C instead of having a fireplace.
Oh, and tell them to just TRY and egg MY house. We live right on a huge lagoon by the Space Center and many alligators live in it. I'll make those jackasses walk down our boat dock and push them off the end, just like walking the plank. But if the alligators have any self-respect, even THEY wouldn't eat those JW perverts. Maybe the snakes.........????
