What do you day dream about?

i don't refer to anything sexually explicit of course.. i mean, in general.

do you dream of owning a big house, a football team, the perfect body.......er paradise earth?.

i'll start:.

(1)All my family members who are still in would WAKE THE F*** UP and we could be a normal family again.

(2) I could go back to 1963 when everyone I loved was still alive and my city had a bustling downtown and busy department stores with awesome Christmas window displays. We could ask my grandpa all the questions about the old country we didn't ask when he was alive.

(3) I could go to a Gordon Lightfoot concert, the way he looked and sounded in the mid 70's, and he would look straight at me and sing Fine As Fine Can Be and I"ll Do Anything and I would meet him in his hotel room and he could show me what is included in "anything". Hahahahahahahahahaha! The dreams of an older lady!!

Go online to Abe Books or Alibris used books. They have copies starting around $35. Their sources are mostly small book stores, so profits would go to small busines owners.

We Had My Mom's Memorial Talk Today

most everyone was very nice.

i did get a couple of we miss you soooo much and an elder that said he might drop by someday to say hello when he gets a chance....i'm already prepared for him if he should show up.. over all, it got finished and i'm going to bed..

If they would tell me they "might drop by when they get a chance", I would say "Oh, don't put yourself out, but if you do, please phone first". Then, I would not answer (bless you, caller ID) or make sure to not be home.

in short:- tight pants is no longer just a am3 hang up (or is that a hang up on the well hung?

)- brothers who have effeminate body language are flagged up- as are sisters with 'masculine' hair styles or dress- such dress is 'disturbing to the congregation'- the above must heed the (repeated) counsel from the elders...or they get stripped of the right to share on the ministry- however...this will not be revealed (announced) to the congregation.

"Sisters with masculine hairstyles and dress"? So what, are they going to start forbidding women to cut their hair like the Pentacostals or Amish? And sounds like no hope for women to ever wear sensible, warm slacks even in the most frigid weather.

My mom passed away yesterday....

finally, she is at peace.

i was with her , holding her hand when she died.

So sorry for your loss. Today would have been my mom's 95th birthday. I was with her when she died in 2009. I think of her everyday, so many things I still want to tell her or ask her. I am so grateful I was there and grateful we had a good relationship right till the end. You will always have that too, and it will be a comfort to you. Joining all our friends here in sending you condolences.

lamallcool yes, this is going way back, like I said to 60s or 70s. He seemed a kind, mild mannered person. He was unusual in that he had a business with his own money, they had their own adequate finances, had a mobile home I think, and had a little girl. He and his wife looked more like grandparents than parents, daughter must have been a late in life surprise. Are you in northeast Ohio?

I always thought this teaching was really discouraging too. Just thinking, is there any other religion with a similar idea? Like, if you do go to heaven would it be a constant test and have a fear of being kicked out or whatever?
