New Spiritually Weak Label: Not Using Tablet/iPhone
by Doubtfully Yours inwith last night's meeting it became official: here in the states is a must to keep up with 'jehovah's org' that one fully jumps on board with this tablet/iphone crap.. so, now, all of us that up to this point have refused to follow the wtbts in their electronic/wireless revolution will deal with the browbeating from the 'spiritual' ones.. already receiving lots of grief from hubby and rest of the family/close friends when seen at the meetings with paper publications.
damn it!!!
am i alone in this resistance???!!!.

I am so grateful for this site to keep me up on the world of all things JW. It explains so much of the goings on in my still in family members, like why sometimes there is a period of being shunned, then it seems to let up, then back to shunning, I guess at the whim of what is emphasized at the latest convention or magazine. I can now understand why a certain family member who for years joked about and flaunted a simple flip phone, adequate for caliing and texting, now has the latest iphone! When I heard about them getting it I thought huh? Why do they need that or how did they afford that? Well now I know it is practically a requirement. Guess they are just waiting for all the elderly to die off so they won't have print at all anymore. Can't really picture octogenarians sitting at the KH using an ipad or $600 smart phone! 📱 -

OMG, just saw footage of the disaster on my local Cleveland Ohio news. So frightening, but sounds like people are pulling together to help each other out in an orderly manner. My heart and thoughts go out to all in the area. -

Letter # 1 to the Governing Body of Jehovah's witnesses
by WITNESS-FOR-WATCHTOWER-REFORM inhere is my first letter i posted to the governing body.
i also hope that brothers on the writing committee who may be lurking on this site (and have some clout) read my letter and bring in change to this very flawed policy around confession of sins.. enjoy.
the governing body of jehovah’s witnesses.

They won't care because you used step by step logical reasoning, something they are not used to. Also they will mark you as an apostate because of your use of the Shepherd the Flock book, which is supposed to be for elders eyes only. They probably get letters like this everday that go directly into the waste bin in the mail room.

Hope you feel better. Sometimes sleep is the best thing for you. Going to the doc is good too, puts your mind at ease that you are are going to live to see another day no matter how rotten you feel now. 🌄 -

JWTV May Broadcast is up. hosted by an old burnt hot dog
by Dreamerdude inwhat's up with jw parents taking their minor children to such desolate places?
like the english family that took their little kids to the jungles of ecuador, and the australians that took their little ones to norfolk island where hardly anyone lives, and they are the only children in a congregation of 11 publishers?
is this a new form of child abuse?

I think I can understand what dreamerdude means. A member of my extended family recently went to Ecuador with two young children to do whatever something free for the borg. This wasnt a comfortable vacation on a sailboat with sunshine and fishing all day. This was in a very poor area. These kids are isolated, home schooled, and exposed to illness and disease they wouldn't be at home. They were out of touch during the recent earthquake. I guess the "great" learning experience would be there's no place like home? -

If you have a warm mist vaporizer use that to put moisture in the air, will help you breathe overnight. Stay hydrated, take ibuprofen every 4-6 hours for the pain and try sleeping with your head elevated a little, like use two pillows. A hot shower is a good idea. If it is the flu you would most likely have body aches and a fever. Allergies are bad in some places right now. Last week my daughters flaired up, sounded like what you have except for the ear ache but she got laryngitis and still has a lingering hacking cough. Good thing you are seeing the doc tomorrow...he will probably tell you what we just did but our advice was free!😷 -

Why haven't you been to the meetings?
by Zana insome cong-member asked my wife this question (in the street, stopping her on her bicycle) in a rather police-like fashion.
i wasn't there so i don't know her immediate reaction and response, but she got very upset afterwards and one day later this still occupies her mind.
i believe it's an emotional mix of anger, sadness, shame and guilt.. she doesn't like this intrusion in her privacy from some jws and on the next occasion she will try to make this person respect her boundaries (or just ignore her).

Welcome! I too am especially interested and heartened by any ex-elders who comment here. Some of the experiences related here would be hard to believe if not for ones such as yourself who have been on the front lines and behind the scenes, so to speak, to confirm those experiences. There are so many things the rank & file are just not aware of, like the money grab, that are causing sincere ones like you to awaken. -

I find it interesting that when you cite one of the JW rules that you know for a fact to be true as to what they officially practice (but is embarrassing to admit to a "normal worldly" person), they deny it. "Oh no, that's not true." Yeah, right.
And as a side note minimus, she is flirting with you. It's giving her a post menopausal rush!😍
