Always exciting to find something like that. My hubby lost his wedding band doing yard work (that was his story anyway), never did find it even when his uncle went over whole yard with metal detector. Hope your sister heals quickly. 🌷

Does anyone know what this is?
by Tameria2001 inyesterday my sister cut her foot on a piece of metal that was sticking out of my yard.
i've lived in my home for almost 8 years now, and well i'm guessing this thing must have worked it's way up to the surface or something, never seen this thing before.
i started to dig it up, and the thing just kept getting bigger and bigger.

Wow, yes, tetanus update for sure. Aside from the injury to your sister, this had to be kind of exciting. Do you live in a rural area that would have been a farm at one time? Is it heavy? You could take it to a metal scrapyard and get a few dollars for it.😁

Oh the irony! The elder, a car accident, and me....
by stuckinarut2 inoh this is just worth sharing!.
so , as many know, it has been two years since i have attended any meetings, conventions, etc....nothing...cold turkey.. the hassles and problems the elders threw our way were monumental....so many details i could share, but suffice it to say, we stood firm and kept our dignity and poise and reminded them of "appropriate boundaries ".
one elder in particular has since spared no effort in ensuring that malicious gossip and slander has been spread so that witnesses have avoided us like the plague!.

What sir82 said, only more likely to "stick in his craw (throat), meaning be difficult or impossible to accept; be a source of continuing annoyance. Makes me think of the stories told on here of elders passing by df ones walking to a KH in the rain or with children. Such love.

FLAG SALUTE
by Sobeit inhttp://www.newyorker.com/news/daily-comment/colin-kaepernick-and-a-landmark-supreme-court-case.
i can still feel how uncomfortable it was to stand and not salute the flag in school.. got to give kaepenick credit for his courage..

It was embarrassing and awkward at the least. I hated it in high school, and standing out in the hallway each Monday morning when the national anthem was played. One thing I don't understand about all this recent stuff is, isn't taking a knee a sign of respect anyway? What's the brouhaha? Does not a man sometimes propose on bended knee, don't people pray on bended knee, doesn't the Christmas song say "fall on your knees?" I think these athletes are sending a message while at the same time showing respect.

Well ok, never f***ing mind. Game just started against 2nd place Detroit, 2nd pitch our #2 starter gets hit in hand by a screaming ball, possible broken bone. Now we have 2 starters done for season as well as our catcher and all star outfielder Brantley. Bye, bye. I will root for the Cubbies!

Well good for your Cubbies. Now if my Cleveland Indians can hang on and win their division....but this is Cleveland and there is no lead they can't blow. Wouldn't it be something if the Cubs and Indians were in the World Series, then we could see whose curse is broken, the curse of the Cubs goat or the curse of Cleveland's Rocky Colavito. GO TRIBE!

This family is no doubt spending their vacation visiting Bethell. Look at that poor little boy in a suit and tie. Think he would rather be in swim trunks and flippers at a water park having a real vacation?🏄
