Yeah, but did they have 2 witnesses against him? 😉 What a creep, never could understand men who do that, you really wouldn't see much from that view. -

Man with unusual anti-body has donated blood every week for 60 years, saving an estimated 2 million babies.
by 1tMakesNoSence inwell, i guess some one has to do some thing since jehovah hates babies.. .

Wow, what a story. Would a JW woman be allowed to take the injection I wonder. I thought about that after I had my baby when I found out I had the RH factor because the injection for that is made from blood. Thankfully by that time I was out of the cult! -

Cart Witnessing - Thrilling! Productive! Epic! Er.....um, well, not so much.....
by sir82 intalked with a pioneer recently, she was recounting her first experience with cart witnessing.. she brought the subject up, was going on & on & on & on about how wonderful the experience was, and how great, and how she enjoyed it so much, and it was so wonderful, and oh jehovah's blessing, and on and on and on...... a few questions to her revealed what really happened:.
-- a jw who owns a small restaurant in a strip mall allows jws to set up their cart outside his restaurant.
-- the restaurant is tucked pretty far out of the way, not prominent at all.

If I saw a JW cart outside a restaurant I would get indigestion even before I ate!😂 -

Gordon Lightfoot
by RAYZORBLADE inok, if you're a canuck, chances you know that gordon lightfoot is about right up there with ol' jehover!.
but if not, nevermind, but i have to admit, i have been a lifelong fan of: gordon lightfoot.. this evening, i took his 'greatest hits' and gave it a listen, and as expected, i was still enthralled with his lyrical genius, and playing abilities.. anyone a gordon lightfoot fan?.
just curious.. all your folks living along north america's "great lakes" keep in mind, next month is the 28th anniversary of the sinking of the "edmund fitzgerald".. that song, by gordon lightfoot is haunting from beginning to end (over 6 minutes).. i personally love: go-go girl in love, bitter green, canadian railway trilogy, sundown, race among the ruins, wreck of the edmund fitzgerald, and well i like just about every damn thing he ever did.. your contributions?

Going to an Indians baseball game and being able to go to my seat anytime I want instead of waiting until after the National Anthem is sung. And then singing along to God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch! Go Tribe! Go Cavs!
And oh yeah...not a dress or skirt to be found in my closet!

Thanks Pete, I don't know how to link like that. In November it will be 40 years since the Edmund Fitzgerald went down. Of course he sang that at the concert last week and although he is 76 and frail, he made it through all the lyrics. I would love to go to the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum in Michigan, I looked it up on the map and it is waaaaaay the heck up there, 8 1/2 hours from me. It would be a gorgeous drive in the fall though. They have one of the lifeboats from the Fitzgerald. -

God is busy with his property portfolio
by snare&racket inone way i managed to de-programme myself was to imagine the god of the universe being behind the desicions watchtower were making.
it first came to me when barbara anderson described being in a lift in bethel discussing a property or land sale that didn't go through and her musing over gods involvement.. we are meant to believe that the god who made the universe is behind this...... http://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/story/news/local/2015/05/12/jehovahs-witnesses-fishkill-tax-exemption/27206609/.
it stinks of greed, business and grandiose expansion.

Just read that article, man I agree with you. Wonder if the average JW fully realizes just how much property they are buying up, how many millions are involved and what luxurious buildings their money is going for. And all this at a time that is sooooo close to the end and the R&F are encouraged to scale down any job or worldly pursuits and young ones are told not to plan for a future in the "system of things". WTF do they need all this for now if Armageddon is right around the corner. Seems they are not believing it themselves. You got some R&F with menial jobs living in mobile homes while these clowns are living in luxury accommodations. -

I was hoping Rayzorblade would see my post, I think he is still around. Listening to all the cds I got from the library I've discovered several new favorites. Of course I love the ones that were popular here in the states, the ones everyone is familiar with, but now I LOVE Baby Step Back, Race Among the Ruins, Did She Mention My Name, I'm Not Supposed to Care and Song for a Winter's Night. Can't get enough of Gordon right now! -

After 2 years my parents make contact. The end result is that I promise them to cryogenically preserve ONLY their heads
by paulmolark init has been 2 and a half years since my departure from the religion.
i was told by my parents from the start that i would never speak to them until i returned to jehovah dog.
a few months later they told people they hoped i died before the end came, then all of this culminating in them telling my inactive / fading sister that they don't consider me a child anymore and they have given me up to satan.

Paul I wish all the best for you and your family. Sounds like you have loving wife and children and a good career. You don't need her toxic presence in your life. There are so many good, kind people out there who can become close as family. Her call had to be terribly upsetting, but as the JWs always say when you get a nasty person at the door, shake the dust off your feet and move on.
