  before i start my subject post, i like to extend a warm welcome to all the new members that have joined the site.

  i just can't keep up with all the new names.

  nice to see all of you here.. i haven't posted anything in a while because of work, scheduling and everything else, but i do have some interesting thoughts that i would like to share with all of you in the coming months.

  i got baptized later in life.

  i was around 21, i had left and went out into the world should of listen to my gut back then, but instead i disowned myself and came back into the fold.

  before i could get baptized, the elder who studied with me said i needed to get rid of everything that was contaminated by this world: music, books & clothing,everything.

  Well if the Borg didn't discourage higher education to get better paying jobs, dubs wouldn't have to shop yard sales and second hand shops. And now with the constant hounding for more $$$, what choice do many have.

  i have a friend who has been inactive for going over 2 years.

  him and his wife split, she stayed a jw and he left and lived with a worldly girl.

  he timed it so that he was officially inactive by the time him and his wife split.

  in the last few weeks it seems that instead of one or two new posters a week we seem to be getting several every day.

  many seem to be long time jw's who are troubled by the path of the organisation.

  this is really encouraging to those of us who have been here sometime.. welcome!

  my wife was invited by her past employer to a dinner as guest of honour.

  guess..?

  the dinner coincided with a meeting..

  Ask her what ONE bit of new information she came away with from the meeting. What ONE tasty morsel would she have missed if she had gone to the dinner in her honor, or was everything at the KH just a re "hash" of same old same old.

  I notice how the Brooklyn facility is referred to as a "campus". The new Warwick facility is a "compound". Kind of says it all, doesn't it?. Also sounds like the city won't be sorry to see them go since they contibute nothing.
