October 7, 2001 -- A Date of "Infamy" For All Jehovah's Witnesses Earthwide

Upcoming "Events" & The "Great Tribulation" Upon Mystery "Israel" -- Jeremiah 30:7; Matthew 24:21, 22; Rev. 7:14

The Bible makes a number of serious "predictions" about the future of mystery "Israel," ... whom I propose to be Jehovah's Witnesses of our time. (I realize that many will object to such an assumption...smile). However, in this treatise, it will be explained, exactly why this is so and why Jehovah's Witnesses are to be understood as mystery "Israel" of Bible prophecy.

Still, I propose Bible prophecy speaks about God's dealings with them, now and in the future. For example it speaks of the coming fate of "Israel," how they fare, in the future days ahead, because of being led by wicked men, spiritual "rebels" against God...those who will (in the days ahead) succumb to "smooth words" of "apostasy" against God. -- Daniel 8:23 NIV; Daniel 11:32 NWT

The Bible predicts the sudden and unexpected uprising of a mysterious "king of the North" who comes into power by "intrigue." He is a "master of intrigue" as the NIV's rendering of Daniel 8:23 shows.

His coming into power by surprise, even "intrigue" and his subsequent and unforeseen "bearing down" in spiritual OPPRESSION of mystery "Israel" are surely in the days shortly ahead for us. To be sure, "trustworthy words" have spoken of it...predicted it. -- Isa. 55:10, 11; Rev. 22:6 (NIV)

That surprise spiritual OPPRESSION & PERSECUTION upon mystery "Israel" of Bible prophecy, will become a totally unexpected period for God's Name People of intense persecution, in what the Bible calls the "Great Tribulation"...a limited and specific period of time...followed by a specific period of time of disgrace, shame and ignominy. -- Matthew 24;21, 22; Revelation 7:14; 11:8-10

Thus, the "Great Tribulation" is actually upon God's Chosen People...it is fully upon them, solely by design. It will be used to fully "refine" God's Name People. It comes first upon God's Name People, and it is clearly ahead of us, as events that are described in Daniel 11:41...a scripture that the WTS consistently refuses to see, acknowledge or explain to their brotherhood.

But we remember, "Judgment" always "begins" with the "House of God," those "bearing His Name." Always...whether they expect it or not. -- See Jer. 25:29 (NIV); 1 Peter 4:17 NWT

How Events Unfold For Mystery "Israel"

We remember Daniel 11:40 speaks of a "pushing" made by the "King of the South." Per WT publications, the "pushing" action we remember was suppose to describe the "cold war" events FOLLOWING World War II or 1945. A position that JWs have maintained for many years. The "pushing" of the "King of the South" occurs AFTER 1945...these are Events since that time...right?

So, what does Daniel 11:40, 41 say happens next, right after the "pushing" of the "King of the South"?

"...the king of the North will STORM with chariots and with horsemen and with many ships; and he will certainly enter into the lands and flood over and pass through. He will also actually enter into the land of the Decoration, and there will be many ***[notice: "lands"]***that will be made to stumble..." -- NWT

So after the "pushing"...real WAR occurs!

But what is the WTS' position, their "explanation" of this apparent situation? What is it?

Please consult the WTS' publications...

You will see there is none.

Thus, lack of explanation for Daniel 11:40, 41, the ignoring of this powerful part of Bible prophecy will indeed cost mystery "Israel" terribly, terribly.

This is an overt mistake...but allowed by Divine Providence for a reason...refinement.

If we were to check our bound volumes of WTS publications on this scripture for commentary on Daniel 11:40 & 41, we will clearly see a SERIOUS mistake has been made, a scripture totally OVERLOOKED. You may be astonished to find out the WTS simply does not explain it at all.

Check w84 4/1 pages 17-19; w81 7/15 page 6...and of course the new publication "Pay Attention to Daniel's Prophecy" pages 277, 278.

After checking, you will see there is no explanation for the "storming" of the "king of the North" as retaliation for the "pushing" of the "King of the South." And after that particular "storming" and "flooding" over his enemies... his stampeding thru the "land of decoration," (mystery "Israel") -- supposedly the "holy estate" of Jehovah's Witnesses according to the WTS.

As mentioned above, Verse 41 of Daniel 11th chapter, is translated as "many [lands] are stumbled" when the "king of the North" comes thru the "land of Decoration." But we notice the words "lands" are inserted, as they are not there in the original Hebrew text. It is an "inserted" word by some Bible translators, including the WTS' "New World Translation" itself.

This proves to be a serious mistake of no little magnitude.

It opens the doors for the "Great Tribulation" itself, coming upon mystery "Israel." A terrible, intense period of persecution heaped upon "Israel," and limited (on account of the "chosen ones" Jesus said Matt. 24:22) to "42 months" of dominance, intimidation followed by a distinct period of humiliation and disgrace. It is clearly, God allowed... God ordained upon mystery "Israel", God's Name People...the reason he, the King of the North, is ALLOWED, PERMITTED, to "blaspheme" or "slander" God's Personal Name. -- Daniel 7:25; Romans 2:24; Rev. 11:8-10; 13:5-7

To set the stage for these terrific events, the Bible forecasts a "Great War" ahead for this world. (See Dan. 10:1 NIV) During this period or "Great War," also known as the "Ride of the Red (Fiery-colored) Horse" and "Horseman" of Revelation 6:4, the WTS will make another terrible, unforgiveable "mistake" in judgment, a misreading of this "Great War" situation. During the "Great War" of Daniel 10:1 (NIV), the WTS will presume that this, and the unprecendent Great Destruction and carnage resulting from this "War," surely leads to "Armageddon," and the destruction of all human governments upon earth today. They will surely believe this.

Thus, we have arrived at the core of this "critical" situation.

Yes, the WTS actually, unwittingly, "seizes the moment." They can be confidently expected to foolishly "seize the opportunity", the "Great War", and "milk" the situation for "all its worth." Ignorant, uninformed, followers will "eat it up." We can count on it.

Even today, we see attitudes for "building up" of such an attitude, already among the flock of JWs. We see this now!

Therefore, during the "Great War" shortly ahead, the WTS will foolishly and unwittingly PROCLAIM SUCH TO THE WORLD, and to the flock.

This "MISTAKE," this foolish blunder in judgment, will prove to be fatal for them, and will virtually (though not completely) put them "out of business" as the self-proclaimed, "spirit-directed", but yet, non-inspired, "prophets" before God and mankind. -- Zechariah 13:4-6

This is because the Bible reveals the "Great War," WILL NOT lead to "Armageddon," at all as expected...no, no but to an TOTALLY UNEXPECTED, an UNanticipated period of PEACE. Peace," yes, "peace," between nations...peace, AFTER the "Great War." In other words, the "Sword-stroke," the "death-stroke" upon the "head" of one particularly "beastly" figure who has engaged himself in war, will indeed, "BE HEALED." Suddenly...quickly. It is an unexpected event to many. -- Revelation 13:3, 12, 14

And immediately after such "peace" is proclaimed, yes "peace and security" is proclaimed by mankind in general -- the terrible, terrible "trampling of Jerusalem" of period of "42 months" begins immediately, without warning upon spiritual "Israel." The "Great Tribulation" now begins upon mystery "Israel" as a form of discipline...something the spiritual nation does not expect at all...these leaders are "revealed" as "sons of darkness." The "Man of Lawlessness." -- 1 Thess. 5:1-4

Mystery "Israel," is completely "dumbfounded", speechless. The WTS is found to be truly "false prophets" and everyone can see it. They have been silenced, they are "dumbfounded", speechless.

"...and the people of earth, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life before the world began, WILL BE DUMBFOUNDED [Greek: "Thaumos"] at his REAPPEARANCE after beng dead." -- Revelation 17:8 The Living Bible

Therefore, during this unexpected "peace," during a time of proclaimations of "peace and security," yes, during that time of peace, then...

..."sudden destruction is INSTANTLY" upon Israel... as being led by wicked, dastardly, spiritual "sons of darkness" ... the G.B. & WTS. The "man of lawlessness" will be fully "revealed" at this time, as "sons of darkness." The false "god" in Jehovah God's "temple", the self-exalting "god" that "publicly shows himself", "exalts himself" to be an actual "god" in God's Temple arrangement. -- 1 Thess. 5:2-4; 2 Thess. 2:3-12

Now, the START and BEGINNING of the "Great Tribulation" is upon "instantly upon" mystery "Israel." It was totally unforeseen. Yes, WORLDWIDE PERSECUTION will come upon mystery "Israel", God's Name People, Jehovah's Witnesses, as a nation, quickly, "instantly," world-wide.

In the days immediately ahead, Zechariah 12:2,3 shows "Jerusalem" will come under powerful, restraint, "seige" even, by the world at large. Certain "events" have caused this to occur, EVEN BEFORE the "Great War" is concluded...even before. A milder but much needed "righteous indignation" from God for the practice of "sin." But this is NOT ALL that comes upon them, since "sinful" Israel, does not repent...does not see the need for "repentance" before their God, Jehovah. Even though, the "Reformers", the "Sheiks of Judah" and "inhabitants of Jerusalem", the "Two Witnesses" movement of Revelation 11th chapter strongly advocates "repentance", demonstrated and depicted in scripture as wearing "sackcloth" garments...still, no repentance, on the part of "Israel." They ignore this "repentance" message from the "Two Witnesses." For this, mystery "Israel" will indeed, experience many "words of abuse" against them, during this time, from the world at large...all during this time of advocated "repentance" for the nation. -- See Ezekiel 36:12-14; Zechariah 12:2-8; Isaiah 43:28; Revelation 11:3-6

However, AFTER the "Great War," mystery "Israel," will be considered, earthwide "enemies" of mankind in general . However, during the 3 1/2 year "witnessing" period of "repentance" by the "Two Witnesses" to the JW Organization, particularly in the last year and a half of it, "Israel" will surely experience stinging, "abusive words" and other, comparatively milder forms of persecution directed at them because of a practice of unforeseen practice "sin" before God. Nevertheless, because of "sin" of leadership, thus the whole nation of "Israel" is guilty and must "answer" to God, according to Leviticus 4:3. The scriptural principle holds true today. -- Please carefully consider Ezekiel 36:12-14.

However, the ensuing "persecution" will be endured, tolerated, and overlooked and thus, NOT interpreted as God Ordained by the spiritual "Nation" in general because any "sinning" on their part as an international people carrying His Name. To be expected. Big mistake on the spiritual Nation's part.

Therefore something more is needed to really get their "attention." Real Persecution! So, AFTER the "Great War," this will all change. Change (Repentance) is actually forced upon mystery "Israel", at that time, the time of the "Great Tribulation," the "Great Distress" of Jeremiah 30:7. -- Revelation 7:14

Again, this all occurs because of the presence of a newly "crowned" world military power. And, it doesn't take long to find out, this new "king of the North," is not amused at all by the presence of the likes of spiritual "Israel." He has no tolerance at all for them, in their present mindset. Thus, with the backing of his great "war" machine behind him and political influence, he will insist upon spiritual "compromise" for the spiritual "nation." He will accept no less than TOTAL COMPROMISE from mystery "Israel." No less...the "mark of the beast." -- Revelation 13:16, 17

So, after the United States of American (As "King of the South") suffers, an embarrassing, humiliating, horrible defeat at his hands...peace comes. And, with that "peace" comes "sudden destruction," "instantly," ... the "Great Tribulation" upon God's Own Name People...mystery "Israel", Jehovah's Witnesses, led by spiritual "rebels" against God's "Holy Covenant." Also, the start of this attack on JWs, can also be considered the beginning of the "last week" of Daniel's 70-week prophecy...the start or beginning of the "Great Tribulation" upon "Israel" or "Jerusalem" ... modern-day Jehovah's Witnesses as a nation. -- Daniel 8:23; 11:30, 32; 1 Thess. 5:1-4; Daniel 9:24-27

And so we can see clearly that Bible prophecy indicates our world's scene will change drastically, AFTER these events take shape...after the "Great War." The "ride of the fiery-colored" horse of Revelation 6:4. And so, Jehovah's Witnesses as a people, will have to "change," to accommodate the situation...completely change, to appease this unexpected leader, the "King of the North." He is not fond of mystery "Israel," Jehovah's Witnesses at all.

And thus because of such unexpected "events" ahead, those that choose to "stay with the JW organization" at this time, will indeed, be "led into apostasy by smooth words" of the "King of the North." They will willingly accept and "receive the mark of the beast" as those in power at the helm of the organization will direct them to do so...during such an unexpected, unforeseen difficult time. -- Daniel 11:30-32; Revelation 13:16, 17

The Bible clearly speaks of, "predicts," changing political upheavals ahead, changes in policy as to how mystery "Israel", (Jehovah's Witnesses as a nation) will be handled and viewed by the world in general, governments of the world, in the days ahead. After the "Great War," spoken of in Daniel 10:1 NIV. -- See Matt. 24:7; Rev. 6:4.

Bible prophecy indicates that a major split or major break in the brotherhood of Jehovah's Witnesses, resulting in two factions of JWs, divided off from each other, but co-existing within the same worldwide congregational fold at the same time will occur. This division, which already exists, become MORE ACUTE AFTER, the pivotal date of October 7, 2001...the anniversary date of carrying the Name of God upon themselves as a spiritual nation for 70 YEARS!

WHY JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES ARE GOD'S PEOPLE, MYSTERY "ISRAEL" OF OUR TIMES

October 2001, is the 70th anniversary of the time when all JW congregations worldwide were in position to fully understand what it meant to accept that Name, to carry that Name, Preach that Name, the Name of God, upon themselves. They AGREED before God, Jesus Christ and all of the Heavenly Host, and even earthling man, yes, to carry that Great Name upon themselves -- To carry the weighty responsibility to "Live Up to that Great Name," upon themselves. It was a Covenant Arrangement between God and themselves as a Nation. Numbers 6:27 shows, God's "Blessings" came upon them as a "Covenanted" People before Him...because they agreed to "carry His Name upon themselves. -- See Deut. 26:2; Deut. 28:10; 1 Kings 8:41-43; 2 Chron. 7:14; Daniel 9:19; Jeremiah 25:29; Acts 15:14; Acts 15:17; Romans 2:24; 1 Timothy 6:1; Hebrews 6:10; Revelation 14:1

Mystery "Israel," The Answer: Jehovah's Witnesses are mystery "Israel," because primarily, they carry God's Name upon themselves, as a spiritual nation or people. Thus they have been permitted to enter a "Covenant" Relationship with Him, because of this. This could only have happened, unless God allowed it.

At present, because of bad leadership, the spiritual nation is "acting wickedly against that Covenant." (Let it be noted, there are other practices and teachings of the nation of Jehovah's Witnesses which also help us to identify them as mystery "Israel" of our day that are NOT mentioned in this treatise.) -- Daniel 11:30

It was indeed, the time when the spiritual nation began to embrace that Great Name before others, yes, preach that accepted identification, that Great Name, unto the world at large. A very, very heavy responsibility indeed...to "declare that Name" to others. -- Deut. 32:3 Psalms 105:1,3; 2 Timothy 2:19

Notice,

"In order that the leaders of the world might be duly notified of this proper designation for Jehovah's people this resolution [adopted previously July 26, 1931 at Columbus, Ohio Assembly] and the text of Brother Rutherford's convention address were published in the booklet The Kingdom the Hope of the World...During October of that year [1931, exactly 70 years ago] a campaign was conducted by the congregations to visit every clergyman, politician and big businessman in their territories with this booklet. In just the United States and Canada 132,066 booklets were put out in this way. Within the next few months this booklet reached the homes of five million others in all parts of the earth." -- Jehovah's Witnesses In the Divine Purpose (pub. 1959), page 126, par. 2

October 1931 -- October 2001 ... a 70-year period...of Carrying God's Name...a period of special "Discipline" or instruction from Him...70 Years of Discipline Upon Israel.

These events spoken of in this writing, are sure to come, based upon Bible prophecy. The "Reformers", make up the "Two Witness" Movement of Revelation 11th chapter, as we see it among JWs as a nation...as they work among them today. Even now, the "Reformers" and the Non-Reformers co-exist together in the JW Organization. We are quite aware that many JWs are not for any form of "reform" at all. They follow the presumed "F&D Slave" implicitly, completely without question. Still, very shortly both groups will be divided by "heated issues"...after October 7, 2001.

However, they will continue to co-exist for a time...still staying together for a period of time. But their "division" will become more pronounced, AFTER October of 2001. It will become visible at that time, much more open, as to their "differences." Thus, a visible, major split is foretold in prophecy for the nation of "Israel," Jehovah's Witnesses at that time. The split will become visible...open for the public and all to see, an already existing split...for now about 2 years.

This VISIBLE split occurs, as Bible prophecy indicates approximately the same time the "King of the North" in the person of the "small horn," surfaces on the earth's scene...when the spiritual "rebels" against God, "act to a completion." This will be a time for special ACTION for the "sheiks of Judah," who are urged on by the "inhabitants of Jerusalem," reformer supporters. The "Sheiks of Judah" will be encouraged by these newfound supporters, the "inhabitants of Jerusalem." It will be during this time, a time of special "blindness" dealt out by Jehovah God upon "Israel's" leaders for the practice of "sin" when the "Sheiks of Judah" wreak havoc upon the JW organization, and the fight, the differences become quite VISIBLE. -- Please carefully consider Zechariah 12:4-6.

At this time, the "1,260 days" of "witnessing" or "prophesying" on the part of the "Two Witness" Movement, will indeed, be nearing its finish or completion ...with close to 2 years of that particular period of "witnessing" already passed...the "break in the brotherhood" of "Israel," between "Judah" and "Israel", will now be more pronounced, more discernable...all around this Great Anniversary Date of October 7, 2001. God is always on time to carry out His Word. Bible Prophecy brings it all together for us...in perfect blend and perfect harmony. -- Zechariah 11:14; Daniel 8:23; Revelation 11:3; Isaiah 19:2-4; 55:8-11

After all of this occurs, you O Israel, will surely know, "that a prophet has surely been in your midst." -- Ezekiel 2:5

Just as these things start to occur, a small "remnant" from "Israel" (the "Tents of Judah") will begin to see, how lovingly, Jehovah God has provided many, many clues to assist his people during this time of "Great Distress," through Bible Prophecy. This is something we will have to admit, when we see these events occur...Even those who scoff. -- Zechariah 12:7; Amos 3:7; Jeremiah 30:7; 1 John 4:8; Acts 13:40, 41

"Alas! For that day is a great one, so that there is no other like it [the "Great Tribulation" upon "Jacob"], and it is the time of distress for Jacob [or "Israel"]. But he will be saved even out of it." -- Jeremiah 30:7

Yes, mystery Israel "will be saved even out of it," ... this "Great Tribulation" coming upon the spiritual nation, for their many acts of "sin" and "transgression" against God. The God of the "Holy Covenant" that they VIOLATE continually...following the wicked, nefarious "Man of Lawlessness," who is UNREVEALED at the time of this writing before "Israel." -- Revelation 7:14; 2 Thess. 2:3-12

I repeat, Bible prophecy clearly shows the uprising of the "small horn" to be a real force to be reckoned with, militarily. He makes his appearance, his initial appearance, when spiritual "Rebels" of lawlessness or religious apostasy, leaders among God's Name People, act to introduce and scripturally justify the full acceptance and presence of the "Disgusting thing that causes Desolation" who is now all of a sudden, to the "horror" of many, now being allowed to "stand in a holy place", in the place that they previously were made to understand, the place where he "ought not" to be "standing," ... in close, intimate proximity to the "camp" of mystery "Israel"! -- Matt. 24:15, 16; Mark 13:14

When Jehovah's Witnesses "catch sight" of this despicable scene, they must use "discernment", interpret the events immediately, and as Jesus said, and "flee" immediately. -- Matt. 24:15, 16; Mark 13:14

Daniel 8:23 says,

"In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked [leaders of "Israel"], a stern-faced King, a master of intrigue, will arise." -- New International Version

Or this rendering,

"And in the final part of their kingdom [Israel], as the transgressors act to a completion, there will stand up a KING FIERCE IN COUNTENANCE and understanding ambiguous sayings." -- New World Translation

Yes, the real spiritual "transgressors" among mystery "Israel", Jehovah's Witnesses, are the spiritual leaders of Mystery "Israel," the "Man of Lawlessness." And for them, this is a specific time of special "transgression" on their parts...October 7, 2001. -- 2 Thess. 2:3-12; Matthew 24:15, 16; Mark 13:14

To be sure, he is coming, the "small horn," ... the terrible "king of the North", the "master of intrigues" who will after the "Great War," lead mystery "Israel" by means of "smooth words" ... into complete "APOSTASY" against God. -- Daniel 8:9; 11:30-32

October 7, 2001 will be a serious "day" for all of mystery "Israel" of Bible prophecy...a day where the "reader must use discernment", a day of earth-shaking decision for all Jehovah's Witnesses earthwide. -- Matt. 24:15; Mark 13:14

The Informed "Reformer" -- His Mission

the informed "reformer" -- what he knows, what he wishes to achieve.. the informed "reformer" is a humanitarian.

A previous comment above, by myself on the "Reform" Movement, as it exists today said:

...Therefore, in actuality, though its vocally unspoken, still, the "reform" movement among JWs really has nothing to do with God, Jesus Christ, spirituality or true worship at all, when you get right down to it. No, but to the truly informed "reformer," real, pure worship of God, as such is not even possible anymore, or at least he imagines this is so -- given the real & ugly circumstances he has inherited from the Governing Body of JWs.

However, I feel, the following information should be added to this above statement. It is indeed, God's purpose for the "Reform" movement among JWs to gain serious momentum & cohesive following within the ranks of the JWs organization. This lies ahead for us all to see and visualize. Prophecy reveals this.

Shortly, this movement, the "Reform" Movement among JWs, will indeed pick up serious strength and momentum. The Bible indicates that certain key events ahead will serve to "strengthen" this "movement" among JWs. At that time, the movement will become more "Bible-based" itself..scripture oriented. Thus, in the end, there will prove to be among the "reformers", many who will stand up openly, showing their staunch faith and belief in God's Holy Word, and wishing to "reform" the organization to re-gain God's favor. They will prove to be a formidable foe for the Governing Body of JWs.

Zech. 12:5,6 speaks of this increase in momentum and "strength" given to the "Reformers", this way,

"And the sheiks of Judah will have to say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem are a strength to me by Jehovah of armies their God. In that day I shall make the sheiks of Judah like a firepot among trees and like a fiery torch in a row of newly cut grain, and they must devour on the right [hand] and on the left all the peoples round about; and Jerusalem must yet be inhabited in her [own] place, in Jerusalem."

Thus, a "strengthening" occurs for the "reformer." His Faith is "strengthened" in God's help for him, to accomplish his "mission." At this time, the "reformer" as a group, after gaining serious momentum and assistance from others, the "inhabitants of Jerusalem," new ones who also turn "reformer," will in COMBINED FORCES, wreak havoc on the JW organization as we know it today. This "strengthening" period will occur between the Fall, October of 2001 and the Spring of [b]2003.

Atheist Prophecy Fulfilled!

in the late 1960s, when i was studying with the jws, i worked in a very unique and mixed environment.

the two brothers who owned the company were lutheran and baptist.

the drafting supervisor was a jw and a co-wroker was mormon.

. The complicated part is knowing for sure, what if anything that God will do rather than mankind. And to the extent we trust ourselves as humans to solve our own problems, I have to wonder about our track record. But, then again, at least we have a track record.

I think you have raised a very good question.

Failed prophetic utterances going forth from the WTS' wicked "mouth", does not mean failed "inspired utterances" from God, as expressed in Holy Scripture. We are simply warned to "test the inspired utterances." Good advice. - 1 John 4:1

Perhaps, we were gullible when we first encountered the WTS. But those days are no more. Believe me. No doubt, many of us have learned to "test the inspired expression" or "utterance", as expressed by the WTS (& anyone else we encounter as a "teacher" of God's Word). Many JWs are doing that now, with good results. This is a good thing.

"For the thoughts of you people are not my thoughts, nor are my ways your ways, is the utterance of Jehovah. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For just as the pouring rain descends, and the snow, from the heavens and does not return to that place, unless it actually saturates the earth and makes it produce and sprout, and seed is actually given to the sower and bread to the eater, so my word that goes forth from my mouth will prove to be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly do that in which I have delighted, and it will have certain success in that for which I have sent it." -- Isaiah 55:8-11

First and foremost we must remember, actually, to interpret God's Word correctly, one first, must be "sent" by Him. All others will fail. Why?

Above in Isaiah 55th chapter, it clearly states, "man's thoughts" and "God's thoughts" are quite different. They do not "think" the same. That's why "man's thoughts" always fail...fall short.

Jesus linked "man's thoughts" (contrasted with "God's thoughts") to wicked Satan the Devil and thus recognized it to be a "stumbling block" to himself and mankind in general. -- Matthew 16:23

Good advice!

Thus, all such "counsel" coming from man or mankind as whole for that matter, will always, always, ultimately ... fail.

"Do not put your trust in nobles, nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs." -- Psalms 146:3

Mankind will solve NO problems, the real problems of sickness, death, crime, violence, and establishing real "peace" in the earth. Mankind will never, ever do so. Also, there is the ever-presence of Satan too, who must be dealt with. Satan's power is felt every day, earthwide. Luke 4:5, 6 shows the extent of his power, control and "authority." He must be dealt with to bring real peace to the earth.

God must do it. Simple.

UNDERSTANDING GOD'S WORD -- Which shows how things get straightened out.

1 Corinthians 12:10 shows "inspired utterances" [prophecy, Holy Scripture] have to be "discerned" by someone who has the "gift of the spirit."

In other words, man has to have supernatural "help" from God, to correctly interpret or "discern" God's "inspired utterances" already given to mankind in Holy Scripture.

This means, God must "send" this one to us. He is someone that is truly "God Sent."

"For everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved. However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach? How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been SENT FORTH (by Jehovah)? Just as it is written: How comely are the feet of those who declare good news of good things!" -- Romans 10:13-15

God's "sends forth" this one.

That one that God has "sent forth" is the "Chieftain" of Ezekiel 44:3, for our day and times.

Antitypical Shittum Revealed

i am now almost certain that brooklyn bethel and patterson are the antitypical "shittem" and that is borne out by their work, the titles they give themselves and the ones who serve them.

surely this is but a miniature fulfillment of the prophecy with a major fulfillment on the global scale showing that the shittem of jerusalem's day was small indeed by comparison.

Let's take this one step further. Let's put "2 and 2 together."

So what I see above is simply, we are all "Israelites." No distinctions. No distinguishable group of the "anointed" present at all.

Now, what if the WTS did not want the brothers in general, rank and file, to see themselves as being "Israelites," in a covenant relationship with God, with Jesus as "mediator," between them and God?

That's pretty easy to prove...they did this, no doubt.

Instead, to God and Jesus, all JWs are "Israelites," ... of Israel with no distinctions among them. No "spirit-directed" among them, as "anointed" ones, but still, they are all, one and the same, spiritual "Israelites" as a nation...in a Covenant Relationship with God.

Clearly, at this point, we'd have to agree, we've been led by the "phony Anointed" and thus, real spiritual "restoration" is needed for all of JWs, as a nation. At this point, we can see this.

If this is the case, then this would explain why Jesus spoke of the "rebirth" of "Israel", a whole new beginning being necessary in our last days. A "Rebirth" for all of "Israel," when all twelve tribes would be in need of a "spiritual restoration." -- Matt. 19:28

We remember Jesus spoke of spiritual "restoration" of Israel during his lifetime. But the question was always when? Jesus was asked: "are you RESTORING the kingdom to Israel at this time." Answer, No. Thus, it occurs, we know, but much later. Apostles were not given the details of spiritual "restoration" of Israel. -- Acts 1:7

Therefore, if we are living in that time...when it has become apparent that JWs are in dire "need" of something, spiritual "restoration."

What if we can see the real need for "Elijah" the Great Restorer of Pure worship (doing the days of "Jezebel & Ahab") to Come first to "restore" Israel, before Jesus comes. -- Acts 1:7; 3;20, 21; Matt. 17:10, 11

...things now begin to fall into place...

"Elijah," must come first. (Because there is a real need for him to "come.")

"Look! I am sending to you people (Israel) Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and fear-inspiring day of Jehovah." -- Malachi 4:5

This all happens before the "end," our time...it would all make sense...

Simply put, the mystery "Chieftain" of Ezekiel 44:1-3 is a central part of God's purposes to bring "Jacob (Israel) back to him," in a "At-One" state. (Isa. 49:5) His role and stage of importance, is second only to that of Jesus Christ himself, the "Amen" of God, to the outworkings of God's Purposes to redeem mankind and restore pure worship on earth. His role and ministry toward "Israel" brings actual "glory" to Jesus, and does not detract in any way, from Jehovah's point of view, in that he is a disciple and follower of Jesus Christ himself. -- See John 16:14.

The mysterious "Chieftain" is a "christian" or as Paul said, "a man in union with Christ" who had the unthinkable privilege of hearing from God, "unutterable sayings," which are considered by man, "unlawful" to speak. These "words" are perceived by man, as "unlawful" words for any man to speak because they are thought to be blasphemous...words against Jesus Christ.

And on this basis, he is "judged", no one among "Israel" wants to hear his message. Thus, his seemingly unrepeatable "words" are viewed as "blasphemy" by ignoramus "Israel," much as we remember Jesus' words were clearly interpreted as such by the religious leaders of his time. -- See John 10:36; 2 Cor. 12:2-4.

Though, largely misunderstood by "Israel," still, the "mystery Chieftain," still proves to be the "key", the "keyman" of Zech. 10:4 to the nation of "Israel." The "Key" component to coming to understand in the fullest sense, the Bible and God's purposes for mankind in our day. He is the "completion [or "finishing"] of the mystery of God" spoken thru the prophets of old. -- 1 Corinthians 13:9, 10; Revelation 10:7

In short, he (mystery "Chieftain") spearheads the "restoration" [or Greek: Palingenesis] of "Israel" while Jesus and the apostles are in heaven, "judging the twelve tribes of Israel." -- See Matthew 19:28 (See lg Prt NWT REF Bib.)

The mystery "Chieftain's" role toward "Israel," brings completion to the foretold promises of the "prophets" of old, making the promises of God come true upon "Israel" in its most complete sense in our day and time, just as the book of Revelation appropriately calls Jehovah, "the God of the inspired expressions of the prophets." -- Revelation 22:6

In fact, the "Chieftain's" coming and his purpose is to reveal such, to explain to "Israel" exclusively, the meaning of the "sacred secrets of the Kingdom", "IN DETAIL", even though most will not "understand" nor respond. So, the real "Mystery of God" itself, or the "good news", the message of the "prophets" again, remains a "mystery" to the people who first heard it...the "thing heard," being the "Report" ... the "thing" to put faith in ... or be "judged...in the last day" for non-response to it. -- Rev. 10:7; 22:6; Acts 13:40, 41; John 12:38 [see fnt lg NWT "our Report"]; John 12:48; Romans 10:14-17

Therefore, when one of "Israel", one Israelite truly comes to understand him, that is, the mystery "Chieftain" and his God-Ordained purposes and role toward "Israel," and understands that this "sinner" has indeed "come from Almighty God" to assist and "help" Israel, -- then at this point, this "Israelite" can now be said to have discovered and discerned the answers to the great "mysteries of God," the "Sacred Secrets of the Kingdom" that Jesus spoke of. The many "parables" that Jesus spoke of, that remains a mystery, even down to this day and time. To be sure, it is this primary and pivotal use of this unidentified "sinner" and descendant of Adam by God Almighty, that completes or "finishes" the "mystery of God" to all mankind. His role is that important. -- See Genesis 49: 24, 25; Ezekiel 45:22; Revelation 10:7; 22:6

Many prophets spoke of him and of his "coming"... Hebrew and Greek Scriptures...by various names, but Ezekiel calls him the "Chieftain."

Today, it behooves us all to show ourselves studious individuals of God's Word. Lest we miss very important "details" of scripture and prophecy that could provide "missing links" of info pertainent to our receiving a fuller understanding of God's Grand Purposes for us all, as revealed in Holy Scripture. And it is equally as important to be genuinely interested in re-discovering and discussing the "deep things of God", matters of "serious concern," to all ardent students of Holy Scripture. -- 1 Cor. 2:10; Phil. 4:8

The topic of the Mystery "Chieftain" is one such subject.

As most JWs know, not much "research" has been done on the above subject by WTS. It seems, (as with many other difficult topics) the WTS has basically avoided this subject, with only casual mention of it here and there in their literature. A few printed comments mentions the "Chieftain" representing the "Princes" over the earth, during the 1,000 year reign of peace, taken from Isa. 32nd chapter and Psalms 45th. -- See "The Nations Shall Know that I Am Jehovah - How?" pages 401-405; Watchtower 2/15/80 page 24; 1973 Watchtower pages 426-428.

However that is impossible. Why?

Well, this is because the mystery "Chieftain," has "Sons," and "Servants," clearly with the approval of Jehovah God. Yes, "Sons," who receive an "inheritance" like himself and he has "servants" or slaves. This imperfect, sinful man, the "Chieftain" does possess such.

Ezekiel 46:16, 17 says,

"This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said, In case the chieftain should give a gift to each one of his sons as his inheritance, it itself will become the property of his sons themselves. It is their possession by inheritance. And in case he should give a gift from his inheritance to one of his servants, it must also become his until the year of liberty; and it must return to the chieftain. On his inheritance -- as regards his sons -- is what should continue to belong to their own selves."

Now after reading the above verses, we can't imagine the present-day "elders" among JWs of today, if ever permitted at all in the 1,000 year reign of Peace, to ever, ever, ever be permitted to have "Servants," [literally "Slaves" fnt NWT Lg Prt Ref Bibl] or even spiritual "Sons", during that wonderful time of peace and righteousness, can we? The WTS "elder body" of JWS, no, could never, ever rightfully hold such a position before Jehovah God during this such a wonderful period, the Millenlium of Peace. They have done nothing to merit this high respect of others of mankind. No they have not. So, how could they ever have what Jehovah calls, "slaves," attending to them. No, no "slaves" or "servants" could they have, in any sense of the word. No they cannot...they are clearly unworthy of such an honor.

So obviously, the JWs "elders" cannot in any way picture this mystery "Chieftain" while in the 1,000 year reign of peace.

Obviously, something unusual is going on here, since the mystery "Chieftain" is himself, clearly a "sinner" and indeed, does have "slaves" or "servants", all approved by Jehovah God.

Ezekiel 45:22 clearly says of the mystery "Chieftain,

"And on that day, in his own behalf and in behalf of all the people of the land, the chieftain must provide a young bull as a sin offering."

There can be no doubt, he is infact, a "sinner," a sinful descendant of Adam. So then, what did this mystery "Chieftain" do to merit such rank and authority in the eyes of the whole camp of Israel, and more importantly, in the eyes of Jehovah God?

He must have done something, quite significant.

Another point of interest is this,

Ezekiel 45:18-20 says of that future temple arrangement,

"This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said, In the first month on the first day of the month, you should take a young bull, a son of the herd, a sound one, and you must purify the sanctuary from sin. And the priest must take some of the blood of the sin offering and put in upon the doorpost of the House of upon the four corners of the surrounding ledge belonging to the altar and upon the doorpost of the gate of the inner courtyard. And that is how you will do on the seventh day in the month because of any making a mistake and because of any inexperienced one; and you people must make atonement for the House." -- Ezekiel 45:18-20

As we remember, we are taught that in the 1,000-year reign of peace, everyone has been "freed" or "liberated" from the effects of Adamic Sin. And this is true. Therefore, in that period of time, there will be no more "making mistakes," and errors of the "inexperienced one." Every one will be perfect, free of sin.

However, we notice in this temple..."mistakes" can still be made, errors of the "inexperienced" and imperfect, sinful man. And yet, Jehovah has made provision for the "covering" and "atonement" of such "mistakes." Why?

Obviously, these individuals ARE STILL IMPERFECT, STILL SINNERS, while officiating at Jehovah's FUTURE Temple. Yes, in this "sinful" state, they serve in "priestly" capacity, carrying out duties of "Priests," in acceptable worship before God. Thus, a fully acceptable Priesthood of mankind in its "sinful" state on earth. A "Priesthood" that can make "mistakes." And yet, Jehovah is perfectly willing to "atone" for a situation, again, upon earth.

Therefore, this FUTURE, earthly arrangement, complete with "sinful" Chieftain, Sinful Priestly (Zadok) Sons, sinful Servants, and "sinful" people in its entirety have been SANCTIONED and fully AUTHORIZED by Jehovah God, with His full blessings, to function and represent God Almighty, ALL BEFORE THE MILLENIUM STARTS.

Amazing!

Is this not "Good News" to all who are truly "Israel"? -- Isaiah 52:7; 61:1-5; Romans 10:15

Yes it is!

MAIN POINT: In other words, Ezekiel's vision of this future temple shows us, unequivocally, that true worship will truly be RE-ESTABLISHED upon earth, RESTORED UPON EARTH, by "sinners", men in a "sinful" state, all with Jehovah God's Eternal Blessings, BEFORE THE MILLENIUM STARTS, and before God REMOVES "sin" from mankind as a whole. -- Matt. 19:28; Acts 3:20, 21

This is why Isaiah 4:5 says,

"Jehovah will also certainly create over every established place of Mount Zion and over her convention place a cloud by day and a smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; because over all the glory there will be a shelter."

Again, we cannot deny the fact, yes, that this is an earthly, theocratic religious arrangement, approved by Jehovah God. This is an Earthly Scene, isn't it?

There can be no doubt that it is.

The above mention of "the first month, on the first day" of that same month, is quite interesting and informative. No doubt it is.

Ezekiel 45:18 mentions "the first day" of "the first month." The "first month" of the Sacred Calendar for Ancient Israel is the month known as NISAN.

Jehovah mentions NISAN 1 as a special time to take note. Why?

Yes, what should NISAN 1, remind all Israelites of, yes indeed, ALL JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES of... of what?

Well, wasn't it the day, Jehovah God "brought down a cloud by day and pillar of fire by night" and cast it over the "Tent of Meeting," to show HIS ACCEPTANCE of that new "Tabernacle" arrangement. Also, to give His Eternal Guidance to the camp of Israel and Moses ... wasn't this the actual "day" that this all happened?

Yes, that "day" was in fact NISAN 1, was it not?

Now, if we compare Exodus 40:2 with Numbers 9:15, 16 we will see, NISAN 1 is a very special day to Jehovah God...thus we see the value of its mention in Ezekiel 45:18

The "Date" is mentioned for a reason, an important reason. We remember,

NISAN 1 is that special day, when Jehovah ACCEPTS and INAUGURATES PURE WORSHIP for "sinful" Israel. Jehovah accepts the "Tabernacle", the Temple arrangement of Israel on NISAN 1... a special day of celebration, just as the Jews celebrate this date even down to our modern times ... NISAN 1.

So we have the all-important "connection", given to us by God Almighty, Jehovah. It signals the RE-ESTABISHMENT of Pure Worship in the sight of Jehovah God. It represents His full acceptance of worship from "sinners," descendants of Adam, BEFORE, yes BEFORE the Millenium starts. And this form of pure and acceptable worship will be well received by Jehovah God? Why?

Because of the efforts and activities of the Mystery "Chieftain," that is UNEXPLAINABLY allowed to "eat bread" in the very "Presence" of God Almighty Himself. The one who is like the "sinner" Moses, who we remember was told,

"...Go up to Jehovah, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu and seventy of the older men of Israel, and you must bow down from a distance. And Moses by himself must approach Jehovah; but they should not approach, and the people should not go up with him." -- Numbers 24:1, 2

Only Moses, the "sinner" should approach Jehovah ... Only Moses, the "sinner" that God had chosen. Only Moses.

And, only the mystery "Chieftain," a "sinner", can approach, can do this,... "eat bread in the presence of Jehovah" in the East Gate. -- Ezekiel 44:1-3

So, there is much we can learn from a close examination of the book of Ezekiel about the re-establishment of pure and acceptable worship of Jehovah God, as we as Jehovah's Witnesses by necessity, "make our escape."

Surely we today, as modern-day "Israel," and Israel of old have much to be thankful for. Jehovah has remembered us. Jehovah has provided for us. But, we must be obedient...to make our "escape," the same as Ancient Israel of old. For example, just as Israel of old we remember NISAN 14, and the celebration of the Passover, which means "escape" from OPPRESSIVE EGYPT. We too should be thinking the same, of our impending "escape" from modern-day OPPRESSIVE "Egypt" of our day, the Watchtower Society. -- See Revelation 11:8

The Informed "reformer" is a humanitarian. "Victimization" must go. "Tyranny" must go. So he springs into action...clandestinely, behind the scenes. However, I think the real, hidden "truth" to the issues underlying the "reform" among JWs is the fact that Jehovah God as a "person" has been and will continue to be, undeniably "missing" in any real, concrete sense. Even though the "reformer" may use the word "God", in his efforts for change. To be sure, it can be an effective "tool" that he can use to sway "converts" to his "cause."

If the "reformer" mentions God by Name, we must remember its just a formality. The weight and consideration given to its useage is equal that when one reads or sees the liberal useage of the words "God" or "Jesus" in the literature and writings of the Governing Body of JWs today...mere lip-service and nothing more. The truly informed "reformer" realizes that Jehovah God never was in the picture in the first place. Or, at least he feels this way, inside.

The informed "reformer" has come to know, has made the "personal" decision within himself, that the very design of this religion is NOT "christian" to start with. For example, probably right now, less than 1 percent of JWs can tell you the true meaning of the "Good Samaritan" and what effect the Bible account should have upon all professed "christians" today. Our organization today, is exactly, Anti-Good Samaritan, completely. And no one seems to notice it...rank and file I'm speaking of. But the "reformer" knows this.

The truly informed "reformer" knows that the Governing Body IS NOT directed by God's spirit, no more than the Pope is directed by God's Spirit. He may not come out and admit it openly, but he knows this.
He's no fool. The facts speak for themselves.

The informed "reformer" feels..."if God were involved, I wouldn't have to..." And that makes sense too.

The informed "reformer" has had to come to a serious fork in the road...to recognize that our bywords, expressions such as "Jehovah", the "Faithful Slave", "spirit-directed organization," "anointed footstep followers," "babylon the great," the "Great Crowd", "Other Sheep," "anointed remnant," "we-are-better-than-all-other-religions" attitudes and other like "theocratic lingo" will all, one day, simply have to become mere cliches, token "expressions" to pacify the "beast," the uninformed "masses" of JWs that carry the burden of the work and finances of the "ministry." If "change" is successful, the "reformer" is still forced to keep up the PRETENSE of the "we're-the-true religion" concept, which supposedly mimics the first century congregation, and thus has God's special favor. He still has to say such.

Afterall, every religion says its the "true religion," isn't that so?

That's why someone made the following comment on the future of the Reform Movement among JWs,

...The WTS will by theological evolution be forced to mainstream eventually. It has no choice over this. Twenty five years from now it will probably sit cozily next the Seventh Day Adventists etc. as an eccentric but benign belief but until then people are being hurt unnecessarily.

So the "reform movement" among JWs really has nothing to do with God and real "worship" associated with "spirit & truth", since that notion has been totally destroyed, shattered by the horrendous practice of sin perpetrated by the Governing Body & associates of the WTS over many, many years, removing all doubt that we ever "worshiped God" in real "spirit and truth." No, but that notion is all but gone. That part of him "died" when he learned the real "truth" of the Governing Body and their "lawlessness." -- John 4:23, 24

The informed "reformer" knows, realizes that Jehovah, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit was never in the picture, really, else all of these terrible things would not have happened to begin with. But the "reformer" may not come out and say such. But insightful, probing questions, reveal his unexplainable actions, efforts and curious motives are actually, more "humanitarian," than spiritual.

The informed "Reformer" at least, SUBCONSCIOUSLY, if not consciously, has come to the realization that real "spirituality" as defined in the Bible, is long gone from the earthly scene. He has said to himself..."nobody on earth, really, really has it...we're no worse than anyone else...after reformation, we're just as good a religion as anyone one else...maybe a little bit better" and so on. Afterall, if JWs are not right, then who really has true worship ... who has it, he says to himself? ... Yes, he has said this to himself.

So then, he makes an inner, "personal decision"...to save the organization...even with all of its flaws and shortcomings...all of its "unchristianness." He works in clandestine fashion, behind the scenes, to "save" the organization. No, its not for God. No, not at all. No, but its for the people. To help people. Also, its really about survival, longevity and preservation of status for the "organization" itself. He wishes to see the "organization", change. Yes, change, but also, to continue. He wants the "organization" to continue to exist too. This "continuance" of the organization, then, is equally important to the "reformer."

Therefore, in actuality, though its vocally unspoken, still, the "reform" movement among JWs really has nothing to do with God, Jesus Christ, spirituality or true worship at all, when you get right down to it. No, but to the truly informed "reformer," real, pure worship of God, as such is not even possible anymore, or at least he imagines this is so -- given the real & ugly circumstances he has inherited from the Governing Body of JWs.

But whether he will "admit it," to you, to others or even to HIMSELF, is of course, another story.

I Still Don't Get It

posters on several recent threads have waxed eloquent about reforming, reorganizing, reinventing, mainstreaming jehovah's witnesses.. the comparative efficacy of internal or external pressure has been one of the subthemes.. as a former 50 year "true believer", this seems like such an exercize in futility.

if this is really an organization sponsored by the god of the universe, why dare steady the ark.

if not, why bother?.

The informed "reformer" has had to come to a serious fork in the road...to recognize that our bywords, expressions such as "Jehovah", the "Faithful Slave", "spirit-directed organization," "anointed footstep followers," "babylon the great," the "Great Crowd", "Other Sheep," "anointed remnant," "we-are-better-than-all-other-religions" attitudes and other like "theocratic lingo" will all, one day, simply have to become mere cliches, token "expressions" to pacify the "beast," the uninformed "masses" of JWs that carry the burden of the work and finances of the "ministry." If "change" is successful, the "reformer" is still forced to keep up the PRETENSE of the "we're-the-true religion" concept, which supposedly mimics the first century congregation, and thus has God's special favor. He still has to say such.

Afterall, every religion says its the "true religion," isn't that so?

So the "reform movement" among JWs really has nothing to do with God and real "worship" associated with "spirit & truth", since that notion has been totally destroyed, shattered by the horrendous practice of sin perpetrated by the Governing Body & associates of the WTS over many, many years, removing all doubt that we ever "worshiped God" in real "spirit and truth." No, but that notion is all but gone. That part of him "died" when he learned the real "truth" of the Governing Body and their "lawlessness." -- John 4:23, 24

The informed "reformer" knows, realizes that Jehovah, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit was never in the picture, really, else all of these terrible things would not have happened to begin with. But the "reformer" may not come out and say such. But your insightful comments above inadvertently show in actuality, that his efforts and motives are more "humanitarian," than spiritual.

The informed "Reformer" at least, SUBCONSCIOUSLY, if not consciously, has come to the realization that real "spirituality" as defined in the Bible, is long gone from the earthly scene. He has said to himself..."nobody on earth, really, really has it...we're no worse than anyone else...after reformation, we're just as good a religion as anyone one else...maybe a little bit better" and so on. Afterall, if JWs are not right, then who really has true worship ... who has it, he says to himself? ... Yes, he has said this to himself.

So then, he makes a inner, personal decision...to save the organization...even with all of its flaws and shortcomings...all of its "unchristianness." He works in clandestine fashion, behind the scenes, to "save" the organization. No, its not for God. No, not at all. No, but its for the people. To help people. Also, its really about survival, longevity and preservation of status for the "organization" itself. He wishes to see the "organization", change. Yes, change, but also, to continue. He wants the "organization" to continue to exist too. This "continuance" of the organization, then, is equally important to the "reformer."

Therefore, in actuality, though its vocally unspoken, still, the "reform" movement among JWs really has nothing to do with God, Jesus Christ, spirituality or true worship at all, when you get right down to it. No, but to the truly informed "reformer," real, pure worship of God, as such is not even possible anymore, or at least he imagines this is so -- given the real & ugly circumstances he has inherited from the Governing Body of JWs.

But whether he will "admit it," to you, to others or even to HIMSELF, is of course, another story.

jesus further related in the 15th chapter of john: "nevertheless, i have spoken these things to you that, when the hour for them arrives, you may remember i told them to you.

these things, however, i did not tell you at first, because i was with you.

so, the point is that jesus has not told his anointed ones certain things yet because the hour for them has not arrived.
