The evolution of human consciousness
by changeling inwe often compare those who act violently to animals.. we do the same with those who rant and rave irrationally.. even those who do not believe in evolution do so.
they say things like: "that jeffrey dhamer was an animal", or "terrorists are animals".
could violence and irrationallity be a throw back to an earlier form or being?.

Human consciousness is evolving much faster. A lot of it is due to the Internet, I believe. But we're extremely flawed as a species. It is not in our nature to coexist peacefully with one another and we never will.

To that question I say:
Where did God's people go when God destroyed his organization in 70 CE by the Roman Empire?

I saw it at the theater. I couldn't wait for it to be over. It was a 90 minute film of continuous mind-rape of those poor kids.
As documentaries go, it was pretty good. Just unpleasant. Like reliving your fanatical JW childhood all over again but worse.
A couple of other religious documentaries that are very good:
Deliver Us From Evil
Bonhoeffer

NAME JUST ONE thing....ONE THING...revealed by God....
by Terry insomebody is always insisting they have an invisible and mysterious source of divine information and selling it like hotcakes and syrup.

I have a great reluctance to put my faith in anything but my personal experience. Not wanting the JW experience to be my only experience with spirituality or religion, I became a bit of a religious tourist to see how the other half lived, as it were. I'm glad I did this because it revealed a lot about what humans need and want. After a while I began my own experiments with prayer to see if anything answered.
Does God reveal things? Yes. But it is based on my own subjective experiences. What I do know is that I prayed, I asked, and coincidence, after coincidence, after coincidence happened in such a way that I came to a belief that I had connected with God.

I can only hope that one day Cheney is brought to trial and made to pay dearly with a stint in a Federal prison. It is obvious he understood the extreme difficulties of installing a new government once Saddam was overthrown and yet pushed his agenda forward. I don't think Bush has the ability or desire to comprehend complex issues like this and was led by the nose by this man.

If the Democrats hadn't run a candidate that was as plastic and phoney as Al Gore we wouldn't be in this mess. He actually made George Bush look good.
And now Hillary is their most viable candidate.
There is no hope.

Seeing some of your favorite musical groups perform five feet away from you is a fantastic experience. I have endured many a crushing crowd and even been lifted off my feet as the crowd pushed hard from side to side jockeying for position. Seen plenty of people wilt and begin passing out with the crowd so tight they could not fall so they had to be pulled up over everyone's head and then "floated" up to the front or the back. It was worth it to see musicians as if they were playing in your living room. I'm dating myself but some highlights were Geddy Lee from Rush screaming out "Working Man," Lindsey Buckingham tearing through awesome solos in Fleetwood Mac, Gene Simmons from Kiss so close he was nearly spitting blood on me, high-fiving Freddy Mercury after belting out "We Will Rock You," Eddie Van Halen posing for my camera as he tore through "You Really Got Me," Wendy O. Williams of The Plasmatics flinging jagged pieces of a TV she had just destroyed with a sledgehammer trying to hit the two guys next to me that were laughing and screaming "whore" at her, having a martini in a small jazz club while Everything but the Girl played an accoustical set next to my table. Saw the B52s a couple of weeks ago at the House of Blues and got next to the stage. Everybody was dancing in the crowd and the concert was like a greatest hits show. Much fun! Everybody's moving, everybody's grooving, baybee...folks lining up outside just to get dooooooown....

I hate Walmart!
by Elsewhere ini rarely ever set foot in the place and will go out of my way to avoid shopping there.
tonight i made the mistake of giving walmart the benefit of the doubt and walked in the door.. they didn't have the main item i was looking for, but they did have one other small item.
i headed to the front to check out only to find they had only a few check-outs open and all of the lines were far too long.

Never buy electronics at Walmart. I believe they sell refurbished items as new, because every electronic item I've bought has broken way too soon and it's the same story with quite a few other people I know.

The link has been corrected. Pictures taken on my dive at Dos Ojos.
I have gone diving with a variety of people in G. Cayman, including doing my own diving from the beach.
Yes, it is expensive so I recommend the all inclusive option or doing your own cooking and staying in a condo.
Yes, I drove the North Wall there. Fantastic. But my favorite dive there is Trinity Caves.
For the price, Cozumel is the best diving destination. Unless you can share a condo with fellow scuba divers.
Disliked Grand Bahama intensely. Surely people, reefs stripped of fish life, lazy dive masters. I won't return there but I did enjoy diving with dolphins there.
Here's a good idea for a trip out of Florida:
