Proof the anointed aren't being resurrected yet.....
by EndofMysteries inthe society teaches that since around 1919 the anointed who have died and do die, are resurrected as spirit creatures.
the only one to be resurrected as a spirit that is documented in the bible is jesus.
when jesus was resurrected, did he appear to his disciples yet his body was still buried?

NASA Identifies The Hand of God
by Perry init even has what looks like blood flowing from a palm wound.
article.
world-renowned astrophysicist robert jastrow, founding director of nasas goddard institute for space studies, explains the fear of faith many of todays scientists experience.. there is a kind of religion in science, it is the religion of a person who believes there is order and harmony in the universe, and every effect must have its cause; [but] there is no first cause.

God is a Simpson charachter with 3 fingers......
And a red hairy longitudinal finger on top....
What utter nonsense!
Also, anyone invollved in science, knows to turn the bullshit sesitivity dial up high, when people start referring to someone they quote as FAMED scientist or THE RESPECTED or THE RENOWNED...
Scientists find data.. their opinion is nothing more than that. To go beyond the data is BAD SCIENCE.
Their view on religion is just their view. That said the comments about theologians are nonsense, the dark ages are attributed to religions stranglehold on science. Galileo was not imprisoned by atheists!
Either way, that is NO HAND! Though i do see a facePALM.

End of mysteries, you are aware the gospels were written decades after jesus died?
Are you aware that the story of gods son dying on earth, being ressurected after 3 days and appearing as a spirit is not unique to the bible or the chatachter jesus ?
That story is far older and belongs to egyptian and babylonian gods sons too! They all walked on water, had 12 followers, were born below the bread of heaven (a star, pronounced beth-lehem) all had virgin mothers etc etc etc
The 3 day ressurection thing has a historical genesis in the sun's orbit, in winter months we have 3 days of less sunlight, only for it to return on the third day..... 25th december. I haven't read this stuff for some time, but do go check, it is all fascinating. Apologies if I have mixed up a couple of facts.

The concept of anointed isnt even in the bible...
When jesus sat down at that table and they all had the bread and wine, nobody was anointed. WT doctrine says anointing started in pentecst 33ce.

I have come to belive that Rutherfrd wanted to make the religion his own.
Pastor Russel in his will said no more doctrines, no more literature, just print mine. He left the name of several people to take over the empire and then...died.
Russell was not one of the main people to take over the religion according to the will, It ended in a huge fight, the people wanting to remain loyal to Russell and then Rutherford, a legal eagle with a huge ego.
He literally threw the people out on the street, the police were called, there are news articles about the physicsl fight that took place. Those men went on to form a religion loyal to Russell, they have a website etc explaining their dilemma, Russell had taught it was wrong to take fellow christians to court, and so Rutherford simply TOOK the reigns by force.
http://www.pastor-russell.com/legacy/intro.html
Rutherford now was the head of a movement with huge ties to Russell. Many followers left. He began a campaign of change. He changed doctrines significantly before he died, heaven and earth were now seperate hopes, no blood, no christmas, no smoking, the cross became a stake with no evidence other than the word meant cross and stake and even though we know the Romans used crosses Rutherford wanted to stand out. He changed rules about vaccinations and medical treatment, he mocked science and evolution, he mocked the American government and wrote inflammatory remarks about the war, america and serving as a soldier. He was imprisoned and turned himself into a martyr. He decided the long understood ....mistake.... of using the word jehovah as gods name, was in fact worthy of consideration once more and so began another new teaching for him... he even named the movement based on it.
Quite embarassing, 700 years after Jesus, a monk added the hebrew sentence YHWH to the word for LORD adonai, by just using the vowels,
YaHoWaH or in latin JaHoHaH. This was because old copyists did not like writing YHWH due to superstition so would write adonai beneath it, so when reading the bible aloud, people said LORD not god's name. The copyist 700 years after Jesus wrongly assumed it was some kind of code, so mashed the two together.
Anyway, Rutherford, despite knowing this added Jehovah back into the religious language, his big moment in time, and to put a line underneath it he named the movement after it. To this day Watchtower have to tap dance around this desicion. every scholar knows the rendering of that name is nonsense.
When looking at Rutherford's history, the ego on him is palpable. Everything he did was about change, putting his stamp on things. He made some huge boo boos though. He was known as a drukard and a man that cursed all the time. People resigned over it and so began the early disfellowship doctrines. He would have alcohol illegally brought down from Canada, he wrote thatthe prohibition was Satan's work. But this is not the worst of it "The decleration of facts" is a letter to Hitler from Rutherford, in it he is openly antisemetic and announced on god's behalf that the german country had god's approval. All of this was printed in the german yearbook of the time. Many JW's were slaughtered in jehovahs (ironic) name and Watchtower white washed the issue until 1996 when they did a tiny apology in an article, to paraphrase they said "We were not referring to all Jews" etc etc. The Society, on a side note, went on, the next year, to claim compesation on behalf of its dead followers from the Swedish Holocaust Compensation fund. To think, that they had actually sent letters of support!
So yes, forgive my waffle, but if you go and research Rutherford, you will detect Rutherfords keen interest in putting his own stamp on things. Most of his doctrines survive and exist today even if slightly varied. He has affected millions of people, not for good in my opinion. But I am sure he would smile at the idea anyway.I guess the gall of building a Mansion in LA whist driving two cadillacs during the great depression says much. The mansion built for 'the returning prophets' says much of him and the movement.

by stuckinamovement inam i the only one that finds it funny that the organization's campaign this month is to offer a printed magazine that is simply an ad for a website?
what's more is they have printed close to 50 mil copies which will be delivered by an army of volunteers who drive minivans and knock on the doors of empty houses repeatedly until they find someone at home...... can you imagine facebook going door to door to spread the word about how awesome their site is?.

Are they actually doing this? This is so sad....
The website looks well made, but it is the most inane, cult flavoured nonsense I have ever seen. The JW's dont bother reading the literature delivered to them in white vans, they won't sit and read those old articles just because they are online. As for non-JW's the site offers nohing but strange 'stepford wife' like family advice 70 years out of date and bizzare views on science and technology.
Websites are a useful tool, this is something WT don't get. This forum is big because it is a tool for finding and signposting information PEOPLE WANT. Google is a tool, pornhub is a tool, bbc news is a tool, netflix is a tool... JW.ORG is an advertisment for a cult. They are trying to push something onto people in a media format that relies on people naturally finding there way to it due to its use or current status in society, i.e. how cool it is.
JW.org is bound to fail as there is no finishing line, there is no success point, no goal. It is simply there to be ignored. Anyone googling the JW's due to an interest maybe after a chat with them or concerned for a family member, will not be stupid enough to go to JW.org, we are a consumer society we read reviews, we hunt for negative opinions on toasters, nevermind our next religion. JW.org will not satisfy what JWfacts, Watchtower Quotes, Freeminds and the thousands of youtube videos, winning the online JW-exJW war on information can offer.
Watchtower is such a spooky name in 2014, with such a sensitivty to freedom as we have today, the word just screams control and constant overlooking of a big brother. WATCHTOWER ! It also has no obvious religious or scriptural basis to the masses and most JW's making it a very cold and lifeless word. Knowing this, they have opted for this movement towards JW.ORG ...... a clear PR campaign in progress. But they are SO DUMB, they claim to be a religion, the whole world whether religious or not, is dubious about belief systems and their motivations, namely...is it about the money? The jw's have gone ahead and called themselves jw. ORG. When you see a ORG website, it screams BUSINESS, INDUSTRY, MONEY, it does not communicate religious love and tolerance... Facepalm.
and so now...they are forced to use their FREE manpower, to go door to door, slipping a leaflet through every letterbox advertising this religious business new pr campaign. Let's hope for our ex associates sake, it is letterboxes, who wants a discussion at the door about a website? Yuck !
