  i definitely look like a worldly person by jw standards... however i went to my old hall because they are remodelling and they are in the final p[hase.

  it was not on purpose.

  i had bnusiness on the street and happened to drive past.

  i used to consider sharks to be evidence for creation - and against evolution because it was stated that they are largely unchanged after millions of years ( hence, 'what evolution?')..

  It's funny, 25 years a JW and I always used to look at the gilead photo and article annually in the magazines when bored on a Sunday morning.

  Not once did I equate that ministry school as some kind of equivelant to a university, but looking on it now as a non JW who is about to graduate a real educational instituion, I realise what they were/are trying to do ......it was a WT university degree.......and wow did that concept flop.

  A farce elder here

  just to share a little about me:.

  i was recently appointed an elder, about 6 months ago now, and that is exactly two years after my awakenning, but funny that the appointment came also about 2 years after i had completely lost all faith in god and had been leading a full time anti-jw life .

  makes you wonder the role of the holy spirit in the entire nomination or appointment process.. .

  Before you sip a beer how do you know whether you have underlying addictive personality?

  You are talking to someone that doesnt drink and never does drugs. I have never smoked a cigarette even. BUT I live by the merits of freedom and liberalism, BUT it should be fair. The professor who advised the governemnt on drugs was sacked after openly vocalaising the evidence on cannabis, that it was safer than horse riding.

  Fear mongering and quoting reefer madness and watchtower thinking doesn't work in the real world.

  It has just dawned on me that I haven't qualified something.....& to be fair it was a shock to my JW tinted glasses also when I found out....most people and I really mean MOST people, consume drugs. Cannabis, MDMA, Cocaine are consumed like alcohol or tobacco in the world today. Professionals consume LSD derivitives to stay focused and awake, students consume ritalin for high grades, cocaine is deeply part of the professional world.

  The anti drug campaign from watchtower and Barbara Bush not only didnt work in the real world, but was bias and fear mongering, which makes educating the youth even harder.

  Psychadelics are on come back and the science is way behind the curve!

  As for my agenda, I do have a huge interest in the science of such mechanisms but I won't lie, the experiences sound interesting, thats why people take it, as Obama said regarding cannabis inhalation...."that's kinda the point!"

  Why get upset with the new WT donation system? It will still be a success...

  when the wt went from charging for literature to voluntary donations, they took a hit but still survived.. i frankly see them having a high success once this new donation system is in place.

  it will be a success and no dissenter or closet apostate will be able to stop it.

  because although we hate the wt and would love to see them disappear, we cannot forget the ones inside will gladly donate, donate, donate.. just look at other churches!

  For me, it is just another element of the religion I no longer recognise, we were proud to say we asked for no money, were not expected to give money and had no obligations to hand over money. People always asked us as JW's because it is an obvious alterior motive.

  Now things are going to change and it will be a hard sell to explain a monthly pledge from each household to a very wealthy organisation.

  There is not one person on earth who can explain and defent why the god of the universe needs....your cash!

  Beautifully put ! I really owe that man much. Does anyone remember the Telegraph and Guardian giving away little books on topics such as philosophy, quantum physics etc about 5 years ago. That little book on philosophy explained Plato's concept with a table and it made no sense as I could not think of a real world application of people having such a perspective, then Dawkins hit the nail on the head...boom.

  I wasn't judging you for perhaos not seeing/telling one, forgive me, I was just wondering if there was anyone monitoring your health over the time period of your use.

  Thank you for answering , may I ask how you found out about it in the first place and what evidence, reading, research did you do before hand ?
