As for life and animation, what do you all belive happened when Dr Craig Venter artificially created a living functioning bacterium in a lab?

It actually came to life and started working as a normal bacteria.

He has now created synthetic life that manufactures fuel as it's waste product.

Do you all feel that god is keeping up with Craig's lab work ready to breathe magic into the finished products?

How come you are ignoring the scientific world that have already figured out that this is simply machinery at work, so much so we have made it ourselves.....

It is just machinery! That is it! ATP simply spins a turbine in mitochondria, or triggers actin and myosin in muscles... it is a molecule that is easily charged at ATP, and can be recharged from ADP (di being two phosphates, tri being....yeah you get it).

It is all mechanical...and guess what when it is all brought together, like a fine harley....ok wait, like a fine Honda... it starts to work!

Why are you adding magic, mystery or woo?..... seriously? It works without it!

When the machinery breaks down, the mecanism ceases to animate, to live! The ATP in the muscles do not recharge, hence rigamortis! They don't recharge as they have no fuel to add the third phosphate, no air or sugar, they have no air or sugar because the blood has stopped circulating, because the pressure has dropped in thr blood vessels, because the heart has stopped, because the hesrt tissue has failed because the cells are old and deteriorated because the dna used to replicate those cells has deteriorated becase the telomere molecule that protects the dna every time it is copied has deteriorated over 80 years....

It is all mechanical.....

Most Damning Publication?

of all of the watchtower's many publications dating now to all the way back to russell, which one publication is the most damning in showing they are a complete crachpot of a religion?

and i course, i mean which original publication before they changed a few words and reprinted!.

personally, i think it is probably russell's the divine plan of the ages.

Is JW.org overriding entry into JW.net?

tried to get into jw.net twice but a popup informed me that the official website of jw's is jw.org.

this was about 2 hours back.

anybody with a similar experience?.

Don't do it....by doing it you are playing along with their game, their rules... 'disassociation' doesn't exist outside the crazy land of Wootower.

By simply leaving you have decided to take back control from them.

yup, the apostate is happy.

i shouldn't be, right, because my life is empty without "jehovah" and the organisation.. but i just got a job at one of the best theme parks in the world, which is so what i want to do, and it's the first permanent job i've had since i lost my government job in 2012!.

the job pays minimum wage but i don't care because working in tourism and entertainment is what i want to do!

disp hero... I have not experienced that. I spent a good 5 years taking apart the JW doctrines and bible before I let it all go. I had to as my mind felt so entangled and I had no way of deciding which way was up ir down, what was good or bad etc.

Forgive me, maybe I am wrong, but maybe the filters are coming back because you haven't fully let go?

Maybe you mean something minor, like how you see people. My assumption is you mean something more significant, for example many leave the JW's but remain convinced the world is getting worse before their eyes! ...... Despite ALL the data proving otherwise.

If I misunderstoood, apologies. If I didn't, I really reccomend you research everything to the tiniest detail. It all falls apart so quickly and the ties of the judeo-christian beleif sytem fall apart alongside it. The filters, lens and indoctrination simply disintegrate without thought.

I have 100% sincerely not had even a moment of belief or doubt, of questioning, guilt, concern, fear etc since researching the hell out of everything. By finding out the facts, you end up not having to deconstruct or choose any beliefs, the facts decide it all for you.....

Drewcoul....I partly agree. The Watchtower literally promise the earth, perfect health, no death, to be young again, to see the dead again.... they go for every human want and fear.

Who wouldn't want it? ...true.

But to have it.... everyone else has to.....die.

Now, I would rather die a young man than live forever in exchange for billions of deaths. In reality not one person should die for my paradise earth hope and the idea now sickens me. It is a horrid doctrine. I could NEVER subscribe to that again.

As for the people you have lost. You never had them. True friends don't give a shit what you belive in. It is a painful, bitter pill to swallow. But it is true.They were people that just happened to attend the same brick building as you, twice weekly. Sorry, but it is true.

A true friendship is not conditional.

I found it hard too, I lost people I cared about. But now I have friends that like me for me, not for my desicion to share their world view.
