  Please take some of the advice you have been repeatedly given in the last week and go buy a book on science.

  Not as important as the skill to critically appraise the knowledge you are being educated with.

  Learn to critically apraise information first, after all, Watchtower had knowledge on offer and an education.

  New video release at district convention. Do Jws live like this?

  i just got back from the district convention and watched the new video.

  can't remember what it is called but the main family live in a million dollar home and there teenage daughter drives a red convertable sports car.

  probably worth about 50000$.

  They are 100% attempting to alter their image of being anti-education, but only so far as to have a few examples to point to when critisised, such as a few healf hearted articles and a video such as this. For the non JW complainer or enquirer, there is enough to dismiss the issue by having such examples, all the while allowing the rank and file know nothing REALLY has changed.

  after all the atheist believes there is no god .so if that's the case then an atheist if a person of faith.

  this may be the wrong area for this but here goes.. if you went to a bank and told them " i don't have an account with you, i never will have an account with you and i will tell people you are a terrible bank" then ask not for a loan from them, but a gift of a lot of money, how do you think they would respond?.

  yet, witnesses now have the the ability to take blood fractions from the blood bank without ever contributing to the blood bank.

  there is a process that the blood bank takes just the plasma from a donor to be used for fractions only.

  The JW that gave the talk on fractions is my old local area didn't know fractions came from blood donations but assumed they were 'made in a lab'.

  Can somone please send the charity comission a reference to handling of child abuse in the elders book, when the abuser denies they did it,

  I believe it was paragraph 39, but I don't remember the page of the manual. I don't have access to one. This will help prove it is,not a local, isolated incident.

  The elders manual SAYS to being the abuser and the abused to the same room to find out what happened!!!

  I know scientists that believe in god, but they no longer hold the bible as 100% true or literal.

  Nobody says science has to lead to atheism, but for many it has as the religious texts conflict with science. If one is able to square that away and maintain their beliefs/faith great! But some can't.

  As for skepticism, I personally feel, one can't be truly skeptical and remain a believer in magic and miracles. But that is just my opinion.
