  I wouldn’t get on an aeroplane built by a dentist, painter or plumber or doctor or lawyer or taxi driver or even a pilot.

  Just because the internet is anonymous, it still calls for humility and personal responsibility. You really can’t just make this stuff up out of thin air.

  This is an expert and her numbers seem legit, however even the experts don’t have crystal balls and ever week being new data that may change the predictions, it’s far too early to have certainty.

  Then there is the risk of significant CV19 mutations and their own consequences.

  Not sure what your relationship status is like and your JW position l, however ..... you can use this to your advantage.

  Ask her for a time frame, as in ... will Armageddon be here within 6 months? A year? See what she says. Tell her .... you KNOW with 100% confidence that in 6 months/ a year/ whatever her answer ... Armageddon will not have come and that this, though devastating to some will pass. Say you KNOW this 100% and that when her predicted time comes and this CV passes without the end of the world, if she wants to know HOW you knew it wasn’t going to lead to Armageddon you’d be happy to explain.

  Then leave it be.

  That is a powerful thing to do, be confident about it. When the time passes it will make her think 🤔. It can’t not.

  He's an aggressive Type A personality ....in a cult.... he was always going to be head of something.

  Had he not come across the JW world, he would be the passive-agressive owner of several Car Washes, Tony's Wash n Dry. His staff would sigh as he pulled up in his Cadillac and his face and sovereign ringed fingers would be all over the tacky posters.

  Special meeting next month (February 2020)

  it was announced today that we will have a special weekend meeting next month.

  it will be 3 hours long and will include some streamed content.. no explanation was given as to what the meeting will be about, only that it will be exciting and we will not want to miss it..

  First Proper Chat With the JWs in Almost 11 Years

  since disassociating in october 2008, i've had little to no direct contact with the jws, apart from immediate family members (ie my parents).

  i've lived in my rented flat since may 2014 and haven't had a knock on the door in that whole time.

  until saturday morning.

  Well handled, with so much respect displayed, it's difficult for them to dismiss you. It may change that young JW's life..... one day....you never know. At the very least it may contribute a tiny seed of contemplation.

  What is the housing / accomodation living conditions of all of the Governing Body Members ? Does anybody know ?

  i would be very curious to know what standard of living they have .

  and what type of housing each member has and what type of accomadation do they have and even what type of areas they are living in .

  unlike many of the rank & file members who live in housing estates provided for the low income earners and pensioners ?

  Back in 2000, the UK bethel, overseers had quite the different rooms to everyone else. In the first week of induction you spend a few days cleaning with some females, the wives of bethelites. Assigned to the overseer rooms were local single sisters, they were related/"fleshly" to each other too.

  We had to scrub around their personal toilets with dedicated tooth brushes, i kid you not. There is a reason bethel wives have burnout and emotional fatigue etc, they go to bethel and really, really didn't expect to be doing that!

  Anyway, we went to a wing that had trees outside snd the little bed of water, they were still the crappy sized rooms BUT there walls were lined with oak and green leather. They didn't have a paper thin wall or shitty bed, they had an opulent room. Don't get me wrong, being someone that age and being allowed to 'live' in a cults room whilst you slave for them is no luxury.

  I had to comment because I saw it with my own eyes, The cleaner actually brought it up, askedmifnit had bothered me. She said that people donate generously to these men for all they do, so they have nicer things,

  Keep in mind our allowance was ?£10 a week for supposedly ALL bethelites,

  I look back now, ashamed and angry at what they were taking from young, dedicated people. Bethel destroyed so many marriages,

  Talking to her will give you your answer...... you must express it. She can't divorce you as per JW rules so there is nothing to lose.

  Hmmm.....I wonder if they will change the rules to allow divorce of partners that leave the WT. They have put the partners 'spiritual life in danger'... hmmm
