What is the source for the 6000 vote switch? Not read that anywhere... interesting and concerning if evident.

Pioneers privilige
by justice34 inorganization and congregation seems to give so much attention to the pioneers and the hours.
encouraging the members to get even the 30h at the month of c/o visit even if they don't complete the minimum of the hours.
why do they give so much praise and attention to pioneers?

This is a business and belief structure that can't stay stagnant in growth, it would financially implode.
To survive financially it needs constant new members.
Members provide two things, money and new members (ministry and having children).
Every young new member has the potential to supply decades of new members, with about half of their indoctrinated future children staying.
Older new members may leave the WT its finances especially with family distancing based on WT doctrine.
Watchtower know their stats inside out, hence all the data they collect from members. They know roughly how many hours ministry = x1 new member.
Bethelites, CO'S, Elders.... don't bring in new members. Pioneers tended to, just for statistical reasons. Watchtower know their business well and that sustaining it's position it is all about the hours of ministry!
Hence Pioneer privilege.....
But.....this will likely decline as 'the ministry' faces data and truth via the internet. Pioneers and ministry grind can't match an informed public.
I can see WT taking a 'new light' approach to ex members. A large source of potential new members. An 'all is forgiven' new light and new love bombing of long lost family and friends. I also can imagine a attempt to maintain retention by altering strict rules and making JW life a little easier.

There are many statistical methods to detect irregularities in voting, it would be very detectable if mass organized voter fraud took place.
Vote irregularities happen every democratic election. You have to prove intent and assign blame, with evidence. Irregularities will happen at same kind of rate as other elections.
You can't hold weight in anecdotal stories and pictures without hard evidence. Let's imagine candidate X wanted to have a safety net for losing an election, so they have a pile of pro X votes dumped, to undermine the election.
My point being, finding an irregularity such as a pile of dumped votes does not provide motive or the guilty party.
You can't assume the winner cheated just because they won, it may well have been the loser cheating.
Lastly, check your own bias. Want to call the election a fraud and a full recount whoever wins?.... you sure?

Pand€mi£ Contribution$
by snare&racket inhi everyone, hope all are well :).
just wondering, with all these zoom meetings and cancelled assemblies, just how the financial contribution system works in 2020?.
i obviously am wondering if it will have a huge impact on the wt org.. can someone kindly summarise how contributions are managed nowadays, both officially and anecdotally in kh's.. i was last attending around 2004, where there were x2 contribution boxes, the world wide work and kh fund.

As someone long left, it seems bizarre that the god who made the universe, would be counting on a zoom vote to keep the presses printing. When I left, JW's were still very much of the 'old light' that when they start asking for money, that is the day theynhave lost gods favor.
Absolutely bananas!

Thank you!

True friends don't care what you believe, they were religious acquaintances with conditional friendship. Sad but true.

Maybe use her momentum towards JW colleague approval and use it to 'get to the heart of all the doctrines"....
If she really is intelligent it won't take too long.
"That's strange isn't it dear, every historian disagrees with this JW belief, I wonder why that is? ...." etc etc etc
"Oh wouldn't it be exciting to read Russell's predictions in print...." etc etc etc
"These apostates and their child abuse lies, let's watch the court case for ourselves so we can defend the faith with vigour...."
JW doctrine does not stand up to any consideration or research.

How do you switch off the thoughts of being raised JW and feelings of anger
by Zeds Dead inraised as a jo blow and married into it.
37 years in it and now last 7 years out of it which feels great.. have memories of being a kid in school in the uk and just hating everything about being the jw kid.
bullied, embarrassed in front of others and self-esteem went into the toilet.wished i was born into a different family.. what angers me is the messaging i would receive at home when i talked about being bullied.

We are the lucky ones pal. Most people that were fellow JW kids back then are now saying the same harmful bs to their own JW kids.
You untangled it, you saw it for the lies it was and have escaped,
Enjoy being free, don't look back with anger ;) . Our horrid past is someone's horrid reality today.
