  pro logos... Jesus mate, you think they couldn't dissect snakes back then? You are thinking about it backwards, like noah and the rainbow... How did noah know that rainbows were associated with rain! That proves god? ...nah.... rainbows came with the rain! Job and the 'circle' of the earth? The earth was believed to be circular from ancient Greece, the egyptians even worked out the circumference of the earth to 3 decimal places using trig.

  A snake looks like a lizard without legs... Its hardly a deity inspired idea, also how funny that you are using evolutionary evidence and science to sgree and prove god is true.... So you take that fact from evolutionary biology and say 'that ones true!'..... Random acceptance..thats smart.

Wallace was a scientist in the rainforests, looking at butterflys and came up with the theory of evolution the same time as Darwin, they both published, but Darwin was awarded the first suggestion for the idea of evolution following a debate. Since Darwin the evolutionary sciences have been taken on and tested and developed by hundreds of thousands of scientists.... Darwin could have been a nazi, a nut job, a mushroom eating hippy, a mason.... But what he said that has been proven true...has still been proven TRUE. Darwin famously stopped believing in god, with great guilt, as all that have left their faith will understand. i assume you have not read his words? To be a mason you had to believe in god...hence the original stonemason, the big letter G...god....

  it has been now verified that there was a traitor within the gb!.

  an insider had the courage and audacity to verify this, taking the risk of being kicked out of bethel, with a cross carved on his forehead.. it became apparent that all the men of the gb where naturally bald, even when some tried to hide it with a clever and stylistic comb-over.

  but there was some suspicion that pierce and losch were not true bald men.

  So I got engaged...

  ...to my boyfriend, we're going to have one of those weddings ('gay' weddings to the straights).. although my jw family know i'm gay, and not going to meetings, only one of my sisters has sussed the situation.

  but i think after 3 years it's about time i told them.

  especially if sometime in the future i'll turn up with a (gay) wedding ring.

  ELDERS CAME KNOCKING AT MY DOOR

  so this is the situation..........haven't been to meeting for the past 10 months....misssed dc as well as 2 day assemblies.. i have woken up to the fact that the watchtower is not god's organization so their is absolutely no way iam going.

  to give the elders any of my time.

  i have no desire to agree to a sherherding call!.

  Waking up, well done!

  it is a huge realisation the day that you recognise, these random men from your local area have NO SAY and NO AUTHORITY and NO RIGHTS and NO QUALIFICATION to interfere with peoples lives as they do. Most of them are dumb fothermuckers too! A jw once told me how she was upset, the elders had been and had not given the best advice about a difficult personal situation in the cong..... Having left a few years I was quite straight forward "what does this elder do for a living?" I asked, "he is a painter and decorator.".....i looked at her and the 'penny dropped', why the hell would a painter and decorster know how to help her? It was a big moment for her, for so long JW's see the society and its enforcers (elders) as the source of wisdom, the oracles of the universe.... In reality they are just bloody muppets.

  Would you let a random window cleaner from your postcode into your house and tell you how to live? What if he had a d*ck head attitude too, thinking he was 'all that'? What if a cult appointed him with an authoritarian role? ....exactly......

  If i bumped into an elder now and they attempted to belittle me or tell me what they thought of my life or dared to question my decisions, I would politely tell them to 'f*ck right off' and to 'go suck a bag of d*cks.' But then, I'm a nice guy.... You may want to be a little more blunt....

  when i was starting to get myself together so to speak i wanted to be one of those guys always giving the powerful talk to shut the assembly down.

  the one talk every spoke about in the car ride home.

  Yeah its interesting stuff..... but in terms of their arguments, god as an explination of our world is being pushed further and further back the more we learn and can explain. They now use god where we would use the sentence "not yet fully explained or understood." Emphasis being on YET. This is such a pathetic and lazy position for believing in a mysterious ethereal being, anything one personally cant understand is evidence of a god!? One jw told me that the big bang just didnt make sense to him, he said it with a smile of mockery.... I asked him how many books he had read on the bigbang and when he said none, i asked whether it was a suprise it didnt make sense? My brother believes trees are proof of a god, ne says 'just look at them!' at the same time he has never read a single book on trees. He assumes we don't understand them to the molecular level and their development over millions of years...just because he doesnt know that we know. A Watchtower education is one lacking in raw information for sure. Likewise with dna / rna and its translation and transcription, people dont understand it and assume humans don't... Gregor Mendell was manipulating genes inthe 1700's!

  The fine tuning argument annoys me, a creationist says our universe is just right for us to live in And so is designed, i would say we exist and live in a universe that is just right for us otherwise we would not be alive and exist! As dawkins quotes.. Its like a puddle that believes the pot hole he sits in is designed by a god, because he fills it perfectly....yet obviously puddles are random formations.. It is an egotistical and illogical way of observing the universe, not to mention that if the earth was nearer the sun Or further away.. It doesnt mean there would be no life, it means there would be different life!

  The more i learn and know of biology, the more I realise how much of a blapheme it is to ascribe such an inefficient, shotgun approach to life that nature plays to a deity. Nature plays the numbers game because it nows the probability is against it. We shoot out millions of sperm to increase the chances because the system is so flawed. Anyone calling this universe and life 'perfect' or 'designed' is demoting god to a half arsed , undignified designer.

  AMO the formation of dna is a very complex topic (abiogenesis), but already we are beyond that and attempting to establish how RNA was formed and paticularly the development of ribosomes.

  In the 1950's Miller, a biology student, set up an experiment with the atmosphere, temperature, moisture levels and charged particles as expected in earths early life.... Very quickly nucleic acids formed in the beakers below, nucleic acids from thin air!

  Once these acids join together with a sugar (sugars are just hydrogen carbon and oxygen joined together) and some basic elements it is a poece of dna ( deoxyribosenucleicacid). People don't realise that we are not talking about lego when we talk about atoms and small molecules, lego requiring people to click it together to form a shape or object, rather atoms and small molecules all have charges and so naturally interact with each other all the time. So unlike lego, organic material attempts to interact with itself, tries to join together... Add to this the elelment of time and the universe has been and is constantly running its own experiments! So when as a JW we used to talk about evolution etc and compare it to a house forming itself together from a pile of bricks and piping and slate etc we were simply making evident how ignorant we were, as due to physics and nuclear forces...that is EXACTLY how it works!

  So nucleic acids forming in early eaths atmospheric conditions is no small thing,,,, it's not as impossible as it first appears, there is no reason st all to think DNA needed a creator. To be honest DNA formstion is understood well, it is RNA (ribosenucleicacid) and its interactions with ribosomes that is causing a lot of head scratching.

  Run forever, you clearly rsndomly looked at a dawkins video google search..... stephen law is a philosopher not a biologist and that is just one video on YouTube about animal/human behaviour and free will and religion, nothing to do with evolutionary biology.

  Run, I have no idea why you keep saying "change shape", your ignorance in the topic by saying this is equivelant to a child denying gravity and saying "the sky doesnn't fall".

  Just relax s minute and start over, your understsnding of what evolution even is, is some distance off reality. You think you are making a good point to mockingly refer to a changing shape for example , but mutations do that before our eyes dsily, such as the mutation that changes the shape of a red blood cell... You can have a spherical mutations or sickle cell mutations for example. Or what about cancers, seversl mutations that together create a mass of unique shape and size.

  You do realise these examples change via mutation over generations, so a mutation is there at birth in sickle cell, it isnt that you mutate the gene at age 11 and then it changes shape? I am not sure what you believe you know about evolution, but saying "shape" was a poor choice because we see it all the time.

  Bacteria change shape when new wall complexes are formed through evolution vis natural selection.... We can watch it happen, predict it happening and even make it happen.

  About every 4 years we have viral epidemics, this is because it takes about 4 years for the evolution of a new strsnd to dominate the colonies and access the population, they make us ill because they sre newly shaped, our bodies don't recognise them and so we have to vaccinate retrospectively once we have bottled the strain,

  So you see..... Saying "shape" really did you no favours. I really suggest chapter 1 of sny good biology book. My favourite was Campbell and Reece 'Biology' the chapters on evolution and genetics will see you right!
