You have to remember, you stay for loved ones, we left loved ones behind. who are sat listening to these talks too.... it causes upset and pain.
Nobody is hating, it is just a painful experience for all involved.

Order in the universe
by Rattigan350 inthis topic was covered in book study last night.
some commented that the universe is ordered and the stars don't collide.. that has nothing to do with order.
it is more to do with that there is more space between the stars and planets and things go between them if they were in the same area.. and do they not consider that the many things that colliided with the moon to make those crators?.

Forgive him, i used to blow off at elders here and people doing talks....... to give you context, it is like being outcast for wanting equality for blacks and whites, then watching people who claim to secretly agree and likely do, have a role in the KKK hierarchy or ask for advice on doing a talk at a white supremasist rally...
Honestly, the apparent hypocrisy from our side of the fence can be highly angering, it seems obvious that having some balls and standing up for what is right is far more honourable and effective than staying quiet.... nevermind if you have kids and fill their head with it all too.
Either Watchtower is very harmless or it is not, if you think it is.....time is an issue as people are being introduced to it daily.
You see it just seems that wrong to stay involved morally, once you leave.... but it id also complex, ....so forgive the sharp tongue.

Tik i understand your anger, but we can't jusdge buddy.
He is right everybody, there is no way you will make a point strong enough to reach anyone because you will be called an apostate and taken off the platform, be honest if you are going ahead with doing a talk, you certainly are not planning to say anything significant! Instead it will fall flat and or over their heads. So tik is right, you are here asking for help so you can mislead 100 people... its a cult remember, none of it is true...
There is no upside!
One of the reasons I am here today, is that a long time pioneer, elder and friend of the family, whilst I was about 12. Got up on the platform one sunday in his hall far away...and told his congregation the REAL DEAL.
THAT is how you do it. He told them he loved them, he said he understood what would happen and he told them what he thought using the bible. He was a member here and his talk is linked here somewhere.
Despite being on the Islands above Scotland this reached us the other side of the country, i knew he was a top bloke and I knew he must have had good intentions and it planted a huge seed in my head, I actually spoke to him yesterday.
So lets be honest, you dont REALLY want to say anything 'apostate' otherwise you would not be so covert, you dont want it to be an overt message, so just like every other talk given to the hypnotised 100 ......it wont mean a jot, just make you feel good matey, which i understand, I do.
But in reality you are still just feeding their plants for them with 95% Watchtower dung.....

by prologos inin paragraph 17 the wt writer alleged that we can not know the exact day and hour, "--but we can and do know the season--"-- we are living in that season--"but.
when jesus was asked a simlar to the wt theme question about the kingdom "--when --"or:.
" lord are you restoring the kingdom at this time?--".

It is all irrelevant..... there is no Armageddon coming and Watchtower by their actions don't believe it either, building new HQ's and restructuring the religion in big ways.
I have never met a single witness that lived like they knew the world was ending, rather they were in love with the idea of it. Quite horrendous really. A countdown to mass genocide....

Those 8 window cleaners in brooklyn, have never until now claimed to have a role in defining words, that is the role of dictionaries and linguists. It is shameful.
I specifically remember them defining generation as the complete opposite for all my life as a JW..... what changed APART from the 1914 generation dying off proving them wrong. Assuming a 1day old baby in 1914 was the generation reffered to and a witness to the events of that year (ridiculous), then all but a few are now dead.
They literally have no limits to their unconscionable acts. THIS GENERATION WILL BY NO MEANS ....PASS AWAY. every single word in that sentence prove their new teaching simply wrong, even ignoring their redefinition of the word generation.
The first of the three generations they claim exist, clearly have passed away, totally contradicting the verse. There is no other verse to defend their desicion, they are using human thought over their holy text.......again. The word used there is unambigous...THIS.....generation indicating that generations are seperate from one another.
Then there is ....BY NO MEANS....PASS AWAY...which is quite specific, yet WT are teaching they have passed away but the generation reffers to other people now... that right there is WT providing a means for that generation to have done the exact opposite, to have passed away.
Come on, it is getting ridiculous, give up !

my answer was always 'architect' or 'doctor'......
Even by age 26 I still didn't even have the high school grades to enter medicine.... at age 33 I am completing my medical training. It really doesn't have to be hypothesis, there is life after WT, we just have to get them out! x

It is funny how you can live amongst a group of people and develop a warped sense of reality. I have relatives that argue against my point about education and wages by saying things like "what is wrong with being a window cleaner" and "they can earn a fortune!"
anyone thinking JW's are wealthy, the statistics prove otherwise. Take into consideration credit cards, no pensions, poor wages and come back in 20 or 30 years time and see how they are doing. I also like how you say they are becoming materialistic, rough translation they may have a new car, nice holiday, maybe an iphone.... NEWSFLASH... this is the real normality, there is nothing wrong in owning any of these things, give a reasoned explination as to why owning things or enjoying yourself is wrong......you won't be able to, also every penny and dollar they spend increases your GDP, which represents your countries wealth which means it can borrow more, allow the WT to have their tax break and provide welfare for the pioneers who can't make ends meet.
I was a window cleaner, I worked in a shop, I was a builder, worked on a farm, was a plumber for a while too. I have no issue with saying I wouldn't want my kids a'ing momey by washing the glass on householders homes for a living. Not many kids have window cleaner as an ambition!
The Jehovah's Witnesses.... where dreams and goals are narrowed down......window cleaner, joiner, carpet fitter, plumber...
I can't believe ANYONE with sense debates this. Ask a window cleaner if he would rather be an , lawyer, doctor, vet, pilot, sports professional, musician, economist, designer, engineer, writer, artist, senator, PRESIDENT..no? .....space man.....you really think they are still saying 'no'?
If someone has no goals or ambition.....something is wrong and someone is to blame. A very sad situation.

"This Generation" at the meeting today
by Batman89 init was really quite amusing 2day at the meeting when we got to the "this generation will not pass away" subheading in the wt.
the conductor spent very little time on the section and the comments that were given didnt at all make sense really.
you can tell its not understood by the majority of the friendsand will go over there heads, i was trying not to laugh lol.
