first post, been lurking for a bit.

i have been seeing problems in the org for a couple of years now and could not come up with any answers.

recently i researched the topics of mediator and new covenant and thats when the sh8t hit the fan.

well i'm sorry i've been absent, it's been a rough few weeks and still having to work....i ended up having a nice happy surprise by having the day off, so i'm finally going to get caught up on things.. .

april 1st was my 6 months of not reporting service time and i am officially inactive now.

i think my hubby and i are going to celebrate!

Cedars - I am friends with the senior pastor of a local decent sized (not mega) church. I would love to discuss how his church and I might be able to help through the outreach program.

I think the number of partakers will probably go up yet again......but believing that hundreds partook at one single kingdom hall? not likely. I think these stories are fabricated.

i haven't got much of a story.

i'm in my late teens, grew up in it, and got out of the society's regime by the skin of my teeth.

nearly go baptized because i firmly did believe it was the "truth" but because of a gut feeling that held me back, that i almost ignored, i didn't sign my blood to big brother.

they keep pretending to be my friend, and then i get word that they actually hate me.

they have even slandered and said i not worthy to talk to.

then of course, there are the rumours... needless to say, i am pretty depressed..

NO Jehovah's Witness is your true friend. They are "friends" with you so long as THEY believe you are towing the organizational line properly. At best, they will murmur about you behind your back if they don't feel you are "spiritual" enough. At worst.....they will completely shun you should you ever be DFd from the organization. Yeah.....great friends

How can anyone who is truly spiritual-minded attend Bethel and not realize it's all a scam

not that i was any better(lol - but as i sat back and thought about the time i spent there, and the things i saw i feel disgusted.. i could literally write a thousand stories about the discrimination, favortism and all out dishonest that took place but i doubt anyone would actually care.

the one thing however that really sticks out in my mind is when i was in a nice room with my roommate that he kind of inherited after his previous roommate left.

it actually had a bathroom and we both had space for real beds(not those dang trundle beds like we had in standish).. .

Bob_NC - I can confirm. I live in Indiana. The town I live in has two congregations. One congregation received a new "Bethelite" couple that had just been "reassigned" to pioneer here. The other congregation received the same. Many at the KH (at the time) said "we must need help in our territory.....we are SO thankful Jehovah has sent us BETHEL PIONEERS!!!!!". I was immediately skeptical. Neither congregation needed help with their territories. Every territory was getting worked twice per year. I came to the silent conclusion that the bigwigs at Bethel just wanted to lay off more people so they gave these pour souls a new "assignment".

So I have a friend that is still "in" because of his elderly parents. He attended the memorial and reported back to me what I thought was encouraging. We have two congregations in the city I live in. So there are two memorials. The first one is always the one that is packed because people (especially those with children) don't want to be sitting at the kingdom hall at 10pm. His congregation had the early memorial. According to him........it was no more "packed" than a sunday talk being given by the CO.

I thought that was great because I remember scarcely 10-15 years ago......working as a parking attendant.....we literally had no where to park all the cars. I had to double park several and make use of the kingdom hall lawn. When I would get inside the KH......the "b" room and the library would be nearly overflowing with people. Not the case this year! No one in the library and 3 people in the "b" room. And I drove by on my way to Target. SEVERAL open parking spaces were left!

" she says it with a gloomy face every time!

Yes. He was an elder that was "reassigned" (removed from) "Bethel". To our KH. He was incapable of speaking in any manner other than cult speak. Instead of "wow....what a beautiful morning.....glad to see you". It was "the grandeur of our Grand Creator really shines through in such a delightful way on a morning like this, do you not agree? And I am sure you are waiting with eager anticipation for today's wonderful spiritual banquet that the Faithful slave has so lovingly provided." Literally.....he sounds like a robot with pre-programmed responses. It was sickening.
