When a spiritually mature brother is shown what is supposed to be lewd picture or pornographic image....he will literally throw up his hands in front of his face and wince in pain.....looking like he may just vomit

There is never a time at the KH when the WT study conductor asks a question and NO ONE puts up their hand thus creating an akward silence. Nope. In fact, out of 30 people in the frame.....28 will always have their hand reached upward as high as it will go. From 4 years old to 90 years old.....all are trying to answer the same question. And everyone will have a goofy-assed grin on their face

If you are going to have people from the congregation over to play games in the yard or to go on a picnic, or even to F***ing rake the leaves in your yard......God wants you to be dressed in pleated dress pants and a button down shirt. And women......you should never.....in any circumstance be seen in pants. God hates that.

What the Watchtower needs to do to survive.
by jwfacts indrop its teaching on paradise earth.. the primary issue facing the watchtower results from it's teaching that members will never die, but live forever on this earth in paradise.
this teaching is cause of most of the doctrinal failures, and will be its eventual demise.. the promise of never dying is one of the foremost motivations for people that join the religion, and the message of living forever in paradise is compelling.
however, it is also the watchtower's achilles heel, as it forces false predictions of the nearness of the end.

Cedars - I think it is a combination of age and mental makeup that determines when the cutoff is. Some people, no matter how old, simply have nothing else........ outside of their fantastical hope of living forever with a pet lion. Some people simply cannot handle the mental trauma of learning TTATT. Some of those people have been told TTATT but respond with "WHERE else will I go?" These same ones lack the mental desire to find out and would rather just "swallow the blue pill" and trick themselves into thinking that somehow....someway the Watchtower society is still right. Then you have others that are old......yet their mental makeup is such that knowing the TRUTH is THE most important thing....regardless of what knowing TTATT does to their physical and mental health. A good example of this would be Ray Franz.

Wha - Good point. Too bad that pacifying those concerns and actually making enough money to put food on the table are two completely different things
"I wonder whether the brothers and sisters in this hall would censor "The Shunning"."
Ya know.....i want to watch that with my wife.....but I am sure that'll end badly. Any time she sees a point that I've made about how wrong the society may be in a particular area......she gets mad and says that I am "looking for things to pick at". Rather than dwell on how wrong shunning is....she'll shut it out of her mind and go read something by the society that reminds her how important it is to Jehovah that we DO shun.

Blondie - If the bricks and mortar aren't owned by the 3 elders acting as trustees......nor are the bricks and mortar owned by the congregation.....and the WTS takes over only when the subsidiary non profit corp (congregation) is dissolved........then who owns the bricks and mortar right now?

"The education that we receive at the Kingdom Hall is the best in the universe."
The society is pounding this one HARD! The last two CAs I went to I recall hearing this from the stage more than once. They are taking the Joseph goebbles approach. "If you tell a lie big enough, and keep repeating it, the people will come to believe it"
What's funny is that a couple years ago.....I head that line at a circuit assembly. The very next meeting I went to I must have heard at least 3 comments about how "we have the world's best education". All the GB has to do is write it or have it said at an assembly and it becomes gospel. The sheeple will not investigate, verify or prove it in any way. They'll just believe it and start parrotting it to others.

"He also went on to rant about weddings and how "Christian" his was. Some sisters made some meals and other sisters sang Kingdom Melodies for entertainment."
Seriously? That is awful! I would definitely need a flask to attend that wedding
