  Look At the Fruits!! Says the Watchtower

  we know how much in the way of doctrine is scripturally deficient in the watchtower organization, but they will always come back and say something on the following lines:.

  * look at the fruit of our works.

  millions are coming to an accurate knowledge about jehovah who would never get to know him where it not for our preaching activities carried out worldwide.

  Let's consider the name Jehovah - the Society's great claim to fame.

  Fact: Jesus specifically avoided using Jehovah/Yahweh!

  "Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name" - not "Yahweh
  who art in heaven"

  It seems that in all the accounts of Jesus' death he also avoided
  using the name. - "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani" - a quote that
  uses "my God" not the name. "Father, forgive them , they know
  not what they do" - again avoiding the name.

  Accounts that say Jesus made his Fathers' name known do not
  necessarily have anything to do with the name Yahweh/Jehovah.
  They metaphorically refer to God's reputation or power made
  manifest. Don't believe me? Read the Insight book ("Jehovah")
  and see how "knowing" God's name is often NOT LITERAL.

  Jesus was setting up a universal faith not pushing everyone
  towards tribal religion - that's why he kept saying "Father"
  and avoiding the name. In addition, there is NO real manuscript
  evidence that Christian Bible writers ever used the name in any
  Bible book. The Society's forcing of the name into Greek text
  is without direct evidence.

  speculate about - with regard to the un and religion.. events like this drive people towards church, not away from it.. likewise politicians (bush) quote the bible and tearful priests.

  give last rights to victims in the streets.

  Turn against religion? Forget it! The UN has little or no power
  by itself anyway.

  After all, it is a very recognizable building in NYC.
  The terrorists didn't steer an airplane into it because
  they know where the real authority is - Wall Street and
  the financial people.

  the Great", is responsible for dulling the conscience
  of many"

  The picure shows a Star of David, a statue of Buddha,
  and a Catholic priest among others.

  So if you are a Jew, Catholic or Buddhist
  you are part of false religion.

  What should you do since Almighty God is opposed
  to you, being a Jew and all (or Catholic)

  Well, maybe you could give all your money to the
  Watchtower Society when you're dead! That's covered
  on page 28.

  Otherwise, you better stop being a Jew or Catholic
  'cause God hates that stuff.

  I know, the Watchtower told me so!

  i don't know if this is publishable on your website or just an opportunity to air my concerns on this sunny september afternoon, here in oregon.

  either way, i'll endeavor to get to the point.. just a quick background for your readers: my wife jill and i left the jw's in 1998 with our 2 teenage children after 17 years of involvement.

  Exactly so!

  This cruel viewpoint, forced on children, comes back
  to bite Witness parents in later years. Too many Witness
  kids are NOT taught the importance of love - or rather
  judgemental attitudes are substituted for compassion.
  In your old age, ARE THESE THE KIND OF CHILDREN YOU
  WANT? Do you think they will give a rat's posterior about
  you in a nursing home? Do you know why the Society has
  had to repeat over and over about taking care of aged
  parents? (Reply: "I can't, I have to get out in service")

  Whatever an organization is sowing, this it shall also
  reap.
  They are ruining children and wrecking families - all the
  while rambling on about the 'spiritual paradise' they've
  created!

  I'm not talking THEORY here, these observations are directly
  based on my Witness family experience and that of my relatives.

  I respect your feelings of mercy, troubled.

  I also respect the feelings of one of my relatives who
  said he privately rejects the notion that only JWs will survive
  Armageddon - or that they are the only recipients of God's favor.

  There may be many more like him - Witnesses who lack sociopathic
  leanings led by years of indoctrination and enforced cult-like
  separatism. Change here is good and I applaud it.

  The hard-hearted Pharisees who rule the Society persistently
  hide their feelings of condemnation behind graphics that portray
  a kindness they don't believe in.
  That is hypocrisy
  That is deception
  That is exploitation.

  I stopped offering the magazines sometime ago when I became
  disgusted with "Awake" articles that show suffering children
  from around the world, saying that their suffering will "end
  soon". Nothing, of course, is admitted that their suffering will
  end by their collective deaths at Armageddon, since they aren't
  Witnesses.

  Does it ever begin to occur to any of you 'loyal Witnesses'
  that this severe view may encourage the increasingly obvious
  mental and emotional illness in the organization?
  It's the same kind of sick outlook that infests fundamentalist
  church members in regard to hellfire, just toned down a little.

  There are many fine people still left in the organization.
  They, and their compassion, are its only hope.

  Given the extreme nature of your reply, I doubt I will be
  able to make you see reason in this matter - or that any part
  of your conscience will be awakened to see the glaring wrong
  of what is discussed.

  For anyone else reading, this subject has been carefully
  addressed repeatedly:

  It is wrong to play upon people's sympathy for human suffering
  while deceptively covering up the proposed solution, namely
  slaughtering 99% of the human race. This is classic cult manipulation
  - you get people to accept and rejoice in embracing THE VERY
  THING THEY HAVE REJECTED IN HORROR - mass execution!

  They announced a special effort in response to the tragedy.
  Their message of mass death continues, dressed up for the public
  to naively accept. This is exploitation.
  At the Kingdom Hall after this was announced, I offered the
  opinion that this has nothing to do with the END. A sister
  said , losing her glee, "We were hoping this was Armageddon!"

  As for me being hateful, your comment is absurd.
  I am not the party enthusiastically teaching that 99% of the
  human race is or deserves to DIE!

  They never miss an opportunity to exploit human suffering

  To get them to look forward to a wonderful slaughter of 99%
  of the human race at Armageddon. How wonderful to hope that
  God will finish the job Osama Bin Laden only started!
  How wonderful it is to deceive people into embracing the very
  ugliness and horror they now cry about!

  If they're out to get you, there's little you can do.

  However, the "Flock" book makes some allowance for
  communicating in writing - It might be interesting to
  insist on that - "if you have accusations to make,
  you will have to put them in writing and I will respond
  to them".

  With all the lying and deception that goes on in this
  religion, they hate putting anything in writing.

  i am sending this letter via email to both my local hospital and to several doctors (different version) who have occasion to treat my immediate family.. i thought that i would post such on the db so that others here could also do the same.

  however, i would ask that you do not completely duplicate the letter, in the event that the same hospital or same doctor receive this more than once, and discard it as a hoax.

  please take the time to change some of the wording, and personalize it to your own circumstances.. i will post any received replies, and i ask that others please do the same.. *****************************************.
