  To wait or not to wait?

  okay, this need not necessarily be controversial but i would like some honest opinions on the matter.

  from time to time (in last sundays wt lesson for example) i read in the magazines or hear brothers say this in their talks.

  (with some variation) arent we grateful that jehovah has waited this long before loosing armageddon on mankind?

  Yes, that's right. as far as I knwo, from january, 1th, the literature is given worldwide for donation.
  Finally, there is unity in this matter.

  Why are people 'Bad' ?

  as far as i see it, people are bad / evil (call it what you will) because of two possible things:.

  1. they are genetically that way.

  they are born like that.. 2. the way they have been brought up has made them that way.. either way, the influences are out of their control.

  this could be my question! I asked myself so many times, what is really bad and what are the reasons for a person to be "bad"!!
  Thats why only god can finally judge...and we should never judge any other humen, since we don't know the reason behind there acting.

  I don't understand that point too, because the one which never heard about the "truth" will have another chance to make decision during the 1000 years, according to our teaching.
  So from this point of view it doesn't matter, when armageddon comes, does it?
  For a lot of people it's even better, if they never heart about the kingdom.
  That's why I don't set myself much under pressure to make a certain amount of houres in service every month....

  how many here still believe the organization is ahead of any other religion as far as teaching truth from the bible despite some of the wrong teachings that we perhaps have???.

  i will be the first to answer in saying, i still believe we are ahead of any other religion for the present but it can change.

  only time will tell wether the organization wants to adjust to some of their mistaken chronology and teachings.

  you're so right, many brothers and sisters are hoping for some kind of a reform. We'll see!
  Lately, I asked my father, an elder, about the year 607 and 587. After he had no arguments to support the year 607 he just said, the brokeout of WW1 and the changes in the human society is enough proof for the year 1914 to be right. And if you calculate 2520 years back, you have the year 607!!! So, he just changed it around. I was speechless!

  yes, that remark made by pilate after pilate had asked jesus wether he was a king.

  ( john 18:37-38 ).. how would you answer the question according to what we know from the bibles definition, and how the faithful and discreet slave have endeavored to give us spiritual food at the proper time?.

  I have quite difficults to use the word "truth", as Ben mentioned, the light at many teachings changed a lot of times, so how can we know, that the teaching from today is the right version??
  The truth is the truth and can be proofed 100%. Nobody can change the truth, otherwise it isn't.
  So why is the society so keen on keeping the witnesses away from any kritical literature??
  It shouldn't harm the truth, shouldn't it??
  Or is the truth much further away in many teachings than we ever think??

  Dinosaur's & fossils records

  i have been in the "truth" for some yrs., & just can't seem to reconsile the huge fossile record with the society's timetable.

  if each creative day waz 7k yrs., that means the dinosaurs only lived on this earth for a few thousand yrs.= (sixth creative day 7k yrs.

  to noah's flood).

  I also have and had difficults to believe the details about the flood.
  What I, for me personally, believe is, the flood was only local, the habitated earth at noahs time. That would make much more sense, since Noah hat to take only the local animals into the ark. So no kangaroo had to be taken into the ark.
  Ben ist right, for some years now, the society say, that a creation day means a timeperiod and we don't know, how long each day was.
  But anyway, I find it difficult to see, why Jehovah created dinosaur's?

The answer was: We need time to proof that. So far it wasn't really answered by the brothers in NY. Because he couldn't keep it for himself anymore and start talking about it, he was disfellowshiped.
  So you can write a letter but don't talk about that with anybody in your meeting.

  ok i need help here, i want to know how i can justify taking blood fractions, from stored and collected blood?

  how do i answer my relatives, the people who are the most wonderful people in the world even though they are roman catholic, they are not trying to persecute me, they love me, so i dont even want to go the persecution route.also where is the biblical support for fractions.

  i feel it is selfish to take from bloodbanks, but not give in return, and on top of that hear badmouthing of bloodbanks.

  great discussion forum, with some great topics too, not only: "Which is your favorite soap?"
  I can say, I am also a so called "neutral Witness". I don't set myself under pressure and don't hesitate to say "no" to anybody, if I don't like it.
