  Looking for co's in the uk

  hi.

  so i knew quite a few co's but have lost contact as i moved abroad.. does anyone know where anton irons is now ... he was a great guy.

  Any one know Philip White? Both he and our recently ex CO (6 yrs. in total out of my life) contributed greatly to me opening my eyes. Also when a DO-Alastair Lambie (sp. ?). What a shower of O2 starved numpties.

  @ prologos. Initial reading of this thread registeted "start panicking" I chuckled to myself. Such is the level of indoctrination. There was a moment of dread when I realised I am making a huge huge mistake walking away from my life of 30+yrs. I feel silly, but need to get these thoughts out of my brain. Laugh with me please. Coz if you don't, I'll cry.

  just come home from a weight loss class early.

  it's 6 months since i da'd and two and a half years since i've been to a meeting.

  there was a witness there (unless she has left, i wouldn't know) we made eye contact!

  peony....Hi, poor love. I've not attended a meeting since April and I peek around corners when out. I live in perpetual fear incase I meet them. A few weeks ago I wouldn't get out of the car because an elder/pioneer couple were in the same car park. My OH literally dragged me out of the passengers side saying "I'm not putting up with this". Unless you've been a part of the indoctrination, they just dont get it!

  What went wrong in your congregation?

  the target is converts.. why does it seem such an outrageous aim for a congregation to recruit new converts?.

  in my old congregation, the enthusiasm was there but the knocking on doors produced zero " baptisms" in my final years.. a) why so little interests?.

  b) was it the internet ?.

  Just to answer a few ?? Not that I feel the need. Spent 30+yrs explaining myself to JW's/non JW's family. I'm inactive now since April. Not an idle bum lol! Have an extremely paranoid personality, so need to tred carefully. I'm learning French. My moniker was the most impersonal I could come up with, but summed me up at the moment. In retrospect I can see it might come across as pretentious, but its not in my nature to be so. It literally was a "light bulb" application. I was listening to Leona Lewis's new song. And voila!!

  What woke you up?

  in march of 2014, i was a very active jw, a ministerial servant, gave a public talk, was an attendant for the memorial, and one of 4 cleaning captains for an international convention of 40,000+ attendees.

  so what woke me up?

  an innocent comment from a co-worker about the candice conti court case rang a bell that could not be unrung.

  Unkindness masquerading as virtue...

  ^^ this, I absolutely loathe unkindness. The hypocrisy. Some became so arrogant. They didn't even care it was glaringly obvious. Hearing from the platform we were an org. based on love, yeah right. Candace conte et al. Investigation by the UK charities comm. RAC and G Jackson's plus all the goon's testimonies. Absolute plonkers. I couldn't watch this RAC live stream because I wanted to pull their smug fat faces through the screen and rip their throats out -( and breathe!). Sorry, don't know what came over me.
