LUHE. Just googled fathers name. Came up with this link.
I really can't comprehend how much is out there. I should have researched sources before posting. I don't know what to believe. [Head in hands in despair].
a former lebanese (christian) terrorist once told me a story (meant to be funny) about west asian politics.. a turtle was swimming past the shoreline of the red sea.
on the shore a scorpion calls out,"hey!
give me a lift over to the other side.

Found this on another forum. I don't have the source to check authenticity.
Accounts like this are doing the rounds online:
"The ultimate injustice one can commit to Aylan Kurdi and his family is to omit the parts of his story which explain why he ended up dead on the beach. The details matter, so please read and share:
1) Abdullah Kurdi, the father, was detained for 5 months in Air Force Intelligence in Damascus. While in detention, he was tortured and his teeth were pulled out. He had to sell his shop in Damascus in order to bribe the officers to let him out. This cost him 5,000,000 Syrian Liras (around $25,000)
2) After he bribed his way out of jail, Abdullah fled to Aleppo with his wife and sons, Alyan and Ghalib. The situation in Aleppo became dangerous due to the constant aerial bombardment, so he fled again to Kobani, his hometown.
3) When ISIS attacked Kobani last year, the family could no longer live in their hometown, so they fled to Turkey. Once in Turkey, the Turkish government did not provide them with assistance, so they paid almost $6,000 to secure 4 spots on a rubber dingy to the Greek island of Kos.
4) While on the boat, rough waters caused the boat to flip. The lifejackets they were given were fake. His sons and wife all drowned in front of his eyes, in his arms.
5) Kurdi had applied in June for refuge to Canada, but was rejected. After Aylan's photo became a media story, he was reportedly offered citizenship to Canada. But he doesn't want to go to Canada or Europe anymore. He says he will go bury his family in Kobani and stay there to fight against ISIS, because everything has been taken away from him and he has "nothing to live for."
first of all; i must admit that i'm not a huge fan of putting people in boxes like this, it is not an exact science.
but i still think the data can be quite interesting and i intend to collect it and share it in a structured way with you guys.
so without future ado here are the details.. link to test: .
so i had a discussion with my mother about this, and she claims that because of this that: "we are surely living in the last days right now" while i must admit myself that the situation seem chaotic, i don't want to believe that it is the last days.
so question is, how do i face an opinion like that?
Also, wealthy arabs own most of the high end property in London. These mansions are sitting empty. Then the arab nations could be allocated refugees. If I hear George Osborne say once again "We really need to deal with this problem at source" I'll do for him. No one govt can sit down and be sensible.
I'm afraid that this will backfire on society further down the road. As Kiak said further up the thread, the German media are not reporting the pegidda movement thats gathering momentum in the old east Germany. UK media reported the silent protest by French citizens against their impotent govt. They failed to report the silent protests around the UK in London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Dundee, Glasgow & Aberdeen. They kept this quiet.

i know this is a bit off the topic of religion, but i just got back from seeing ant man with my son.
i'm getting tired of the fact that hollywood (and in this case the action/hero genre) rarely seems to have an original thought.
has anybody noticed the same theme?.
Hi, is this a remake of the old Deadpool movie? As for the rest of you post - Ecc 1 v 9 comes to mind.
a source has informed me that a relative who's in london bethel has said that a number of bethelites there are very uncomfortable and embarrassed because the branch has received "quite a few letters" querying why members of the governing body were wearing flashy rings and jewellery on some of the monthly broadcasts, but on the broadcast when the g.b.
asked for more money from the congregations - their gold and jewellery was not on display!.
will probably emerge one day wearing sackcloth, begging for yet more donations..
Have just done a conservative calculation of my donations over the last 30+yrs, and it kicks off at £18,000.
