Have You Ever Been Falsely Accused In The Cong?

were you ever falsely accused of something either by an elder or member of the congregation?

My former PO's senile mother got it into her head that I loved her, and that we had talked about getting married. The woman was around 79! I was 25! Anyways, she would come up to me in the KH, and surreptitiously slip me an envelope with a greeting card in it - on which she wrote things like "I can't wait to talk with you again. The last time was SO nice, though I must admit that I was a bit shocked at how aroused I was feeling!" There were also a couple of interesting phone calls.

Spooky.

Eventually, I tried to talk to her, saying that I was flattered, but that we never had any such intimate conversations (or ANYTHING like she said), and that she must stop giving me greeting cards. She went and told her son, the PO, that I had misled her with promises of marriage! The PO straightened it out though, when he told me (apologetically), that his Mom was getting senile, that she didn't remember who HE was sometime, etc. So, they knew the accusation was false - but they "had" to investigate the other possibility - that I actually had spurned the PO 's mother, by reneging on a marriage proposal.

they look like ciggies, they even taste like ciggies, but they smell like horse poop.

hell i don't care...they'll do me.. i've been off smokes for 2 years...but had a terrible craving (stress related) and so i surrendered to the craving and had a few drags of a peter jackson number 8...then i had another...and another.

i had some crazy thoughts about buying a packet.

often we had threads that said, "what if we are wrong"?

but lets reverse the question and ask, "what would happen if they realized that they were completely wrong"?

imagine 6 million people not knowing where to look anymore for spiritual guidance.

please i need a help.. i translated into estonian some interesting articles about jw blood transfusion ban and also alternative explanations about acts 15. yet, when i discussed these things with christians among different denominations i found that many of them do not agree with the view that the decision of apostles and elders in acts 15 was made because of the tensions between judea- and gentile christians.

they think that it was the universal law which is obligatory to all christians even in our days.. .

so, do you have any information about how most christian denominations and churches or most respected theologians view acts 15?
