WT Crazy Rulings on SEX and Marriage---
by JT ina few post over the question was posted about what was the finally straw for you leaving wt and farkel highlighted all the crazy dogmas of wt and tongue and cheeked commented that he could deal with all those things except the ban on bj.. so some of the guys here at work asked me to explain it to them what ban on bj- .
as i was explaining it the issue of remarriaged came up and i found it most interesting how once again wt makes up it's own rules for folks lives.. .
consider this - in africa- a man can take on multiple wives in many countries since his religion allows him to do so and still have gods approval.. so when he starts to study the bible with jw he is told that since he has been taught something that is not supported by the bible the taking of multiple wives for christians ( ok solomon was the first playa on record) .

Yes! The Goodies were run on PBS in Orlando, Florida for a while in the late 70's/early 80's. My uncle got me into watching them, as well as Monty Python. Then there was Not The Ten O'Clock News, Fawlty Towers, Black Adder, The Vicar of Dibley, Keeping Up Appearances...all so funny! Thank Gawd for the Brits and their humor!!!

Do your parents still talk to you?
by scootergirl injust curious if your parents still have contact with you after you have been df'd/da'd.
mine have stood by w/strong convictions not to have contact w/me.
they have to have some being that i have kids that they want to see (but that is very minimal).

Nah. My folks have been inDUHctrinized since 1957 (Mum) & 1958 (Pop).
I last spoke to my Dad on the phone from my hotel in St. Augustine, FL. I had extended an open invitation (to my folks and my siblings) to dinner at a family-style restaurant with me, my fiancee and my little brother (inactive). My Dad called at 9:00am the day before this dinner, to say that he "and everyone else" (meaning my JW siblings) could not go to dinner with me "in good conscience". Pissed me off - pissed off my fiancee even MORE.
After that, the only exchange I've had was a flurry of e-mails between my Mom & me - that was around the time of the UN debacle. Sad that these people have allowed themselves to be blinded - and so willingly, too.

The cross scene in dateline was only a split second, so obviously there just looking for excuses. My dad has a pony-tail and a beard and we love it. We all seen the pics of my fam on dateline and of couse he didn't have one as an elder for all those years.
Thanks for posting and clearing up the cross & ponytail thing. Everyone seemed to miss that your dad grew the ponytail AFTER leaving the Dubs. The cross was just nit-picking. As for your makeup - I have seen more on the faces of some JW gurls! I thought you looked beautiful. But leave it to the Dubs to always accentuate the negative (whatever it may be for them THAT week).Love ya!
