WOW! What a response to my post! Sorry I took so long to read & reply.

Thanks, everyone! I really appreciate all the support and kind comments. My brother had been inactive for 7 or 8 years - so I thought he was all done with the Dub life. I do think (and many of you mentioned this) that he may have been going through a rough patch in life, and went back to what we grew up with. After attending meetings for "only a month" , as some of you pointed out, I'm sure the elders and the "friends" smothered him at the first sign of his wanting to return. I am sure I'll get an e-mail from him within six months or less, after all the love-bombing has stopped, and realizes what a load of crap they're trying to feed him.

Thanks again to all you! You have made me feel much better about htis situation.

This is SO frustrating - just wanted to vent a bit.

My younger brother, who has been "inactive" for about 8 years, has decided that everything wrong about his life is due to his not being "right with Jehovah". ARRRRRRGH!!! YOU MANIPULATIVE SONS OF BITCHES!!!

Out of my five siblings, he was the only one that I was in regular contact with. I could get news about the family, etc., through him. We are (were) also the closest while we were growing up, all the other kids in my family were older than the two of us, so we naturally were each other's playmates & friends. I have included his e-mail bombshell below, so you can see how creepy it is. Sounds like a robot wrote this, but here it is:

I have something to tell you and you probably won't like it very well. I've been going back to the hall for the past month now. I'm working on getting myself back to Jehovah's standards and pleasing him with my whole heart and mind.
I've been studying and building myself up spiritually with the help of Jehovah and the Brothers at the Hall. I have been hating the way I've lived my life for a while now, and I don't want to be like that any longer. I know that I was happier when I had Jehovah in my life before. Only till recently have I understood that. I have grown to love Jehovah and bring him into my heart and mind. I want to live my life by him and obey his word.
Which also brings me to this. I won't be able to converse with you any longer because of your leaving Jehovah and his teachings. But I'll always pray that you will come back to him whole heartedly.
The times are arriving as Jehovah planned, you can see it everyday getting worse.
I'm sorry to drop this on you all at once, but this is how it has to be.
