UnapologeticLWT,
I noticed you are a new poster. Have you ever posted on this site under another name?
during the last three to four months, i have spent a great deal of time sinking my teeth into various critical biblical commentaries and lexicons.
naturally, after beginning to research "the truth about the truth" one of the most commonplace yet controversial arguments revolve around the "gentile times" doctrine (i.e.
the application of the seven times of daniel 4 from 607 b.c.e.

blood transfusion: letter of understanding .
today i added a new article to my blog that to the best of my knowledge is the first publication of a document put together for jehovahs witnesses by medical ethicists in cooperation with watchtower appointed hospital liaison committee members.
this document is very helpful in medical terms yet very explosive in theological terms for jehovahs witnesses whove been taught to resist blood transfusion as rape.
@ Marvin Shilmer,
Thank you for the explanation to my question!
I like your summary of why this is happening the Society is softening on the blood issue,
1) Watchtower is losing the fight
2) Watchtower is losing the fight
3) Watchtower is losing the fight

If a physican gave a JW child a transfusion, would the parents know about it, or are the parents agreeing to 'look the other way' while the Dr does what he needs to do to save a child?
If the latter, Watchtower is agreeing to a 'do what you need to do, just don't tell me about it' approach.

FaceTheFacts,
FaceTheFacts is a terrible person...
- Actually, no one said that about you.
is also Ethos/Thirdwitness/Recovery/Djeggnog...
- Because you have had several identities here before, and you are rehashing material that you've already posted under at least one of them.
...probably scholar as well.
- Certainly no one accused you of that.
FaceTheFacts is a terrible person
- Again, you exaggerate, no one said that.
Lets talk about a million other subjects instead.
- People are simply trying to keep you honest on this topic.
Your remarks seem to be nothing more than an attempt at side-stepping issues, to draw attention away from the real meat of 607 BCE. As someone mentioned, you like to use many words to make it appear as if you have solid arguments. I am new to the topic of 607 and was hoping to hear sound arguments on both sides if the issue, but you haven't offered much except your lame attemtps at misdirection.
I wonder if onlookers are laughing as hard as I am?
- You're not laughing, you're pretending.
biblestudies in the report, is the numbers they show us correct?.
i've been thinking of this, and as i am from sweden i use my own country as an example.. to notice is that sweden is high penetrated of internet.
the young ones here is often really good in english.. and i suppose that hardly one third of the jw kids finaly get baptised.. at most positive.. .
Honeybucket,
Any discussion about the bible that is progressing, is a bible study
Yes! I remember a C.O. explaining that a Bible study can take place standing on a doorstep, and may only last a few minutes - it can be counted as a study if it's regular.
I believe that all of Watchtower's numbers are being stretched a bit.
Edit: I believe the C.O. said that if you have done it 3 times and made arrangements for the 4th, you can start counting it as a study.

Witness My Fury,
"My name is Legion: for we are many."
The perfect name for FaceTheFacts and his many Screen Identities!

Vidquin, thanks for the NET explanation!

From Atlantis' footnote in the OP - A reference is made to Special pioneers, missionaries, traveling overseers, and Branch staff. They are a ll are members of the...
"Worldwide Order of Special Full-Time Servants of Jehovah's Witnesses."
I did not know that such an Order existed in Watchtower.
This religion sounds more Cult-like all the time.

Visquin, what does NET refer to in your post?
does a person's involvement in the jw religion usually fall into one of these 3 categories?.
a) born in.
b) convert.
Convert, but in the days leading up to 1975.
I swallowed the whole thing, hook, line and sinker.
It all appeared to make sense at the time, and I did not bother to research the history of Watchtower. If I had I surely would have learned about it's long history of making false predictions.
