Witnesses were Anti vaccine till 1950!
by Witness 007 in"brother mcmillan wrote "faith on the march" about his wonderful life at bethel.
he wrote of an incident in 1943 where a group of witnesses in jail for refusing military service were against getting vaccinated and he came to the rescue visiting them and telling them it was ok. the reason for this was "the golden age" magazine in the 1920's describes vaccines as puss filled poison...so they were following their watchtower training..

GB / Wives ,wont voluntarily give up their lifestyle
by smiddy3 injust an observation viewing some of their on camera appearances , and their arrogance believing they are the only one`s used by god to reach and teach the people ,despite what gj said at the arc on the subject.. no doubt the gb men wear designer tailor made suits from the best tailors in nys ?
and their wives adequately provided for in a similar way ?
nothing from kmart or target ,walmart or whatever.. shoes are probably made from form fit cobblers to fit the individual ?

Lloyd Evans did a video a few years ago regarding a GB member who flew Business Class. As I recall someone at the airline recognized the GB person. You would have to do a search to find it. I will do it but it will have to wait, since I'm on my way to work. You may well beat me to it.

“The Right to Shun: Ghent’s Misguided Jehovah’s Witness Decision“ Matthew P. Cavedon
by AndersonsInfo inhttps://canopyforum.org/2021/04/19/the-right-to-shun-ghents-misguided-jehovahs-witness-decision/.
in march, the criminal court of ghent, belgium fined the congregation of jehovah’s witnesses (jw) for “inciting discrimination and hatred or violence against former members.” the case centered on the jw practice of “disfellowshipping.” while the court’s sensitivity to the individual impact of shunning is laudable, its decision regrettably assaults the freedoms of religion and association.. first, some background on jw beliefs and disfellowshipping.
jw was founded in the united states over a century ago and is headquartered in new york state.

Anony Mous:
You (currently) still have the right to shun, you just can’t say that other people are evil.
Yes, that was exactly my point. I am also aware of hate speech laws, it's just it's very hard to enforce them 100%, especially in a religious setting.

From the article...
Said their [JW] attorney: “It’s not up to the court to hand down a decision about interpersonal relationships.
Yet that is exactly what the Watchtower Organization itself does. Disfellowshipping, and the shunning that follows, is an organizational policy that prohibits interpersonal relationships. This is another case of the pot (Watchtower) calling the kettle (the court or anyone else) black.
How do you legislate against it? That is a tough one. You can have hate laws, but keeping them enforced completely would be virtually impossible ... especially where religion is involved.
I do believe the Ghent court's decision is a step in the right direction even if it can't be completely enforced.

IICSA report on child protection in religious and organised settings “rightly draws attention” to the Jehovah's Witness Organisation
by AndersonsInfo inhttps://www.hughjames.com/blog/iicsa-report-of-child-protection-in-religious-and-organised-settings-%e2%80%9crightly-draws-attention%e2%80%9d-to-the-jehovahs-witness-organisation.
the independent inquiry into child sex abuse (iicsa) has published its report on child protection in religious and organised settings.
it rightly draws attention to the jehovah’s witnesses organisation, according to alan collins, one of the best known and experienced abuse lawyers.. iicsa found children are not adequately protected from the risk of child sexual abuse in the jehovah’s witness organisation and the evidence demonstrates that it fails to adequately address child sex abuse allegations.. commenting on today’s report, alan collins, head of the hugh james abuse team said:.

From the article...
“It would be good for you as a parent to ask yourself, ‘Does my church tolerate or cover up child abuse? Is my religion holding firmly to high moral principles?’ Answers to such questions could help you to make wise choices in protecting your children." (Awake! magazine, 8th April 1999)
That is typical of the Watchtower Organization, condemning other churches for doing the same thing that Watchtower itself does! The article referenced in the opening post recognizes this as a definite "conflict of interest."

Don’t Trust the Courts! Splane’s Latest Anti-Apostate Talk
by StephaneLaliberte indavid splane’s talk “put up a hard fight for the faith” was that last talk presented on the saturday of the annual convention.
this talk was to largely address apostates and restated ideas and arguments often presented before.
however, this year, watchtower is spending more time in disqualifying negative findings originating from secular courts and here is the segment of interest here: .

Watchtower has been brutal against other churches that have had pedophile issues, particularly the Catholic pedophile priests.
Years ago when the Catholic issue became public Watchtower mentioned it frequently in their literature, quoting media reports, judges, attorneys and other sources to prove how bad the Catholic Church was.
But now, when the same media, the same courts, etc are reporting the same thing about Jehovah's Witnesses, all of a sudden you can't believe anything they say because they are all controlled by Satan.
Hmm ... double standard on Watchtower's part?

Moderna, both shots, last one in late March.
No pain at all, no sickness, but had a slight loss of taste, which is just now coming back. Not complaining in the least!
