Way back when, if I remember correctly, a person was considered inactive as soon as the person didn't report any hours.
Missing for 1 to 5 months is irregular.
Missing for 6 or more is inactive.
Slim and Morpheus - two of my favorite posters - did get it and agreed!

Matthew 24:34 not fulfilled in the first century
by Jules Saturn ini was discussing with an elder the generation teaching and telling him when jesus christ says in matthew 24:34 “truly i say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things happen.” he was referring to the generation from the first century in 33 ad and these events that were to take place took place with the destruction of jerusalem in 70 ad.
now the elder tells me to go back to a few verses to from verses 29-33 which read: .
“immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened,+ and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.+ 30 then the sign of the son of man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief,+ and they will see the son of man+ coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Thanks to Vanderhoven7 for providing an alternate explanation to that of JWs.
That all of these things would happen "immediately" after the other things described is definitely a point of contention to the JW interpretation. To them immediately means 2000 years later and counting, and that's a problem.

if pre 1975 you said "The system will still be here late 2017" what would be the J.W's reaction?

It's the equivalent of saying this system will still be here in 2059. Most JWs would scoff at this idea.
I'll be 75 years old. If i'm still alive i'll be looking for some JWs in their carts asking why the big A hasn't come. It's a real shame that Witnesses in 2059 will be just as in denial about what is being said today as Witnesses today are about 1975, and Witnesses of the 1970s were about the 1940s, and Witnesses of the 1940s were about 1925, and Witnesses of 1925 were about 1914, and Witnesses of 1914 were about 1874.
It's a religion of denial, and they feel clever when they blame earlier Witnesses for 'misunderstanding,' or being 'overzealous,' as if it was just a few followers that were not following the Organization carefully enough.
However, as time goes on a little bit of reality seeps in between the cracks of denial and a few awaken. Hopefully by 2059 many will be awake.

Hell Exists
by Poppy520 inmany people of all denominations are beginning to believe that hell does not exist - but the bible supports the claim that it does.
examine this verse, one under nkjv and the other nwt:.
nkjv - matthew 25:46, "and these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.".

The God of the Bible is loyal to his friends and loves them and avenges them.
He avenges them - that's how God shows his love and loyalty to his friends? If he can step in and avenge them, why can't he step in a little sooner to prevent the suffering in the first place - if he really loves them?

Non-construction solutions, now theres a new phrase to make you laugh. How about Non Preaching solutions, or Non-meeting solutions, or even Non branch office solutions and already, Non printing solutions. But always there was Non Caring Solutions.
That's very funny.
I have an idea. Jehovah's Witnesses should pay for all of it with Non-contributing solutions. (But maybe that's already beginning to happen!)

I'm curious about the last remark in the OP.
(The author reserves the right to issue a refund for this perk if the story is not a good fit for the book.)
He reserves the right to issue a refund if the story isn't used? Is this a left handed way of saying that he reserves the right to keep the money if the story isn't used?

From the link by Snugglebunny...
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a disorder where an individual has a distorted self-image, unstable and intense emotions, is overly preoccupied with vanity, prestige, power, and personal adequacy, lacks empathy, and has an exaggerated sense of superiority.
This is definitely off topic, but it struck me just how narcissistic members of the GB are. It all fits, especially the last remark about having an exaggerated sense of superiority.

That was very nicely told to show the extreme double standards of JWs and the Watchtower organization.

Inside the JW HQ Warwick, NY
by baldeagle inhere is a short 2-minute video from fox 5 news reviewing the new jw hq in warwick, ny.. the first thing the jw spokesperson says is, “our primary purpose is not to convert, but to give people an opportunity to see what the bible has to say.”.
next the reporter says, “the new world headquarters, which opened last year, is home to about 800 jehovah's witnesses.”.
it seems to me that 800 is an extremely low number since the glory days in brooklyn.
