Who, or What do they really "worship"?
Good question. I believe that the Organization, (jw dot org), is the golden calf that JWs really worship. Tagging Jehovah's name on to their religion is simply a sales pitch.

cults and extreme belief - jehovah's witnesses.
Apparently broadcast times vary. I found it at 10PM Tue night, Pacific Time. (California on Comcast).
Here is the description of the broadcast...
Former Jehovah's Witness Romy Maple, a survivor of child sexual abuse, embarks on a journey to uncover why her pleas for justice were systematically ignored by top members of the organization.
at 5:00 there is a screen capture of someone who mentions "jehovah our god" on a video about the "n word.".

video topic aside, if she's an active jw...she probably shouldn't we wading into this pool..

yesterday in watchtower documents there was published "flawed decrees conceal criminals.
barbara anderson examined the rnwt revision of lev.5:1 and revealed the wtb&ts to be deceptive as to applying it to congregation members being required to "tattle" on their brothers to expose sin.
she shows that is just not so as lev.5:1 has nothing to do with tattling.
That letter was WAY too long and poorly written (I didn't finish it), although you probably have legitimate points to make.
I'll get the information from Barbara Andersen's site.
our dog needed some serius surgery recently & my wife (still in) was very concerned that if he needed a blood transfusion she thought this would constitute a misuse of blood.
i was stunned as never heard of this.. is this a thing?
i left 12 years ago & wondered if it's always been or introduced in the years after my leaving.. any info would be great.. phats.

"...To use blood for transfusion purposes, even in the case of an animal, would be improper. The Bible is very clear in showing that blood should not be eaten..." Watchtower 1964 2/15 p.127
Watchtower's main argument against transfusion is that eating blood and transfusing blood are the same thing - you are "consuming" it either way. Why does Watchtower think this should apply to animals, since eating other animals, including the blood, is a way of life in the animal kingdom (as illustrated by compound complex's cat and mouse story above).
Not eating blood only applies to humans. I can't see a shred of logic to prohibiting transfusion for animals.
last week in the sunday meeting a sister made a comment and collapsed, a massive heart attack.
one of the young brothers is a fireman and he gave her mouth mouth and according to the doctor this saved her life.
so if she had missed the meeting that day she would have surly died because her husband is not in great health.
I can see you folks are not sold on the idea of not forsaking the assembling of ourselves..
You can't draw sweeping conclusions based on isolated events. 'Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves' and the example of a woman having a heart attack at a KH are completely unrelated. Your conclusion that "So it shows how important are the meetings.." is without merit, it's false logic.
Did you not notice Jwfacts remarks about the woman killed after the memorial? He was making the point that isolated events don't prove anything.

Well written.
In addition to Watchtower's child sex abuse policies the author managed to work in the bad effects of organized shunning as well as the no blood transfusion issue, which resulted in a mother's death.
It was very good negative exposure!
william miller.
do you know how important this man has been to your life?.
do you know your life would have been entirely different (without a doubt) had he not lived?.
