Does being a JW and having a felony up your value in the kingdom hall?

maybe this has been previously been discussed.

in my area in the us.

it seems that jw men that are felons or have served time seem to have more value.

The simplest answer is that they were attractive.

2 rules to remember if you want to attract the girls:

Be attractive.
Don't be unattractive.

Of course money can make up for deficiencies in one or both areas.

Even in the U.S. the Government provides the right for an individual to not speak and incriminate oneself ... withholding information here wouldn't be called a lie.

True but what's alarming, at least in my opinion, is that this is basically the society (which is supposed to be the complete opposite of a worldly government) telling it's members that it's okay for US to lie to YOU. Of course this is not a new development, but now that I'm out I can see how this flies in the face of everything I beleived about the ORG when I was in it. The ways that they can apply this are numerous, covering up scandals, justifying false prophecies etc.

And the rank and file are just lapping this shit up. It's sickening.

Do you work with any Dubs?

i just found out that one of my coworkers is a witness.. it got me thinking about my past jobs.

in four out of the last five jobs i've held i have worked with witnesses.

it got me pretty paranoid at times because i was a classic "double-lifer".

It got me thinking about my past jobs. In four out of the last five jobs I've held I have worked with witnesses. It got me pretty paranoid at times because I was a classic "double-lifer". I would put on the "new personality" whenever a fellow witness was around, but otherwise I was a bit of a loose cannon. I was always afraid that one day I would accidently say a curse or one of my worldy coworkers would say something incrimiating about me around a witness.

I realize now how idiotic that whole situation was. It's funny to think about all the dumb things I did to maintain an illusion of purity and righteousness, when I don't give a damn about those things now. Funny and sad I guess.

So have you ever worked with dubs? Did you find yourself acting differently when they were around?

i know i would have never, ever been interested if someone would have come to my door as a jw.

i guess i really don't feel like i've ever had a real spiritual side to me.

the 'truth' would have never interested me, nor would i have ever accepted a bible study with anyone who came looking for a sheeple.

I like to think reason would ultimately prevail and I'd be able to avoid becoming involved in any religions.

It's impossible to tell though.

nice to meet you!!.

i am working as a chef and i work the most ridiculous hours, so i spend a lot of free time namely after work when i go to bed, watching movies.. i have seen so many, but now i have run out of memories of movies and have seen all as far back as i can remember.. can people here name a few very awesome movies, and im not talking "oh thats nice" type of movies.

something worth the time.. i dont mind the genre, just nothing like romance, although i did like titanic having said that.. thankyou please!.
