" for most of my life i was convinced that only members of the watchtower bible and tract society were applying bible principles in the correct way.
this was mainly because we believed we had the correct translation of the holy scriptures which was largely rejected by "satan's world.
The real life principles come from the growth of mankind as we learn more about ourselves simply through making choices and experiencing life as it unfolds before us.
That is a powerful statement. I wish more people in general could understand this, not just the religious.
Being hard-headed and closed minded is a choice that you are free to make. However don't expect the rest of us to wait on you as we continue growing and evolving.
i was listening, albeit unwittingly, to a 'my book of bible stories' tape and this statement caught me by surprise.

just noticed three tornado warnings that included dallas, arlington, and fort worth.
nws text for these warnings stated that there were two "large and extremely dangerous tornadoes" confirmed on the ground in the area.

I'm in irving, it rained pretty hard and there was a bit of hail. I Did not see any rotation but others say there was.

Spiritual is such a nebulous term I guess in some ways it would apply to me. But it's not something I think about regularly.

ive been doing it this whole morning and the only thing i've done to make it go quicker was to memorize a disconnected number.. its been working extremely well.... but did any of you that ever did it feel strange like you were selling something?!

I was always uneasy with tele-witnessing. It was quite a departure from what I was used to and felt really disingenuous. Plus it felt weird having the whole service group watching you as do it.
I used to envision a future where all witnessing would be done in call center style. That way the elders could keep a close eye on everyone's production and "encourage" those you aren't making their quota.
for my birthday, my daughter (who works for apple) got me an iphone.. yes, i was using an old motorola flip-phone until now...like a geriatric captain kirk.. and i wondered why people had been giving me those strange looks before.... .
anyway, imagine my reaction to the mammoth technology contained in an iphone.. talk about a miracle, this qualifies.. i'm particularly impressed by the onboard gps.
i can type in a destination and the phone already knows exactly where i am and will plot a destination map onscreen.
If you like music you should check out Shazam. Hold it up to the speakers/headphones and it will tell you the name of the song and the artist.
