i dont need a convention for me to hit the latest VIP clubs and bars..
you say that like its a bad thing?
yes, according to richard bivins, vice president of the albany, georgia convention and visitors bureau.
he did a study last year on the 3 weekends of jw conventions held there and says it brought in $2.7 million to the city.

did you have to make a major change in your hair style, or hair length when you joined the jw's?.
they hinted that i needed a hair cut when i joined.
i guess my hair was a little too long then.
take it from a fashionista...
if i could compile a list of the bad hair do's in the org.....it would be longer
than a liz minelli buffett table.....ooogahhhhh
i probably was the biggest slut in the kh- sex before baptized @ 13- sex after baptism when i was 17. oral sex about 5 times w/ different guys from the kh-- what can i say, i loved being a rebel, & love sex- i think the elders liked it to because i had to tell them the details (some guy always told), & they would probably get off later- never was disfellowshipped-- i am a good actress, but i thought the "holy spirit" guided them, well not because they believed my sobbing- --:-) kristine
i once got "unclean conduct" from what i later found out was a transvestite while i was
doing the door to door-regular pioneering
it worries me when i hear of governments discussing jws in their countries with the thoughts of banning them!
i disagree with banning them.
they are a determined people who will suffer greatly for their fanaticism, i think they should be closely monitored but not banned.
labor law violations at bethel??
you must be kidding
hi all,
yes it has gone down....the brothers and sister in my hall have that mummy face look.
I remeber a few years ago..maybe 10.. they used to talk about how great a talk was
or a special viewpoint on a scripture..or an awesome illustration...those kinds of convos are few
and far between....contributions are way down..our cong didnt even take in enough to cover expenses
this month!.......oh well...somehow the big boys at bethel will put a spin on things.....like how
the new project in Patterson -to move the factory printing.and all the new equipment is costing over
60 million and they are confident that the everyday dubs willl com through with the cash flow
the are obsesses w./ making sure their dress and grooming is 2 decades behind fashion..
OH MY..I just saw a bretheren sister wearing shoulder pads at a circuit assembley..
"we are not a cult!".
yeah, we've heard this one before.
how did/do the jws back up this statement?
In my congergation 2 people just decided to walk away -just stopped going to meetings
They were neither df'd or dissac. I spoke to one in the area they other day ..they are perfectly
happy after spending 14 years as a witness..they are are neither depressed, suicidal or confused.
i nearly fell off my seat.
this 30ish jw elder came strolling in the movie theater with his wife and a huge tub of pop corn in his arm to watch x-men 2: xmen united.
i couldn't believe the hypocrasy.........they teach not to even watch much tv, much less go to a movie.
There are quite a few movies about Jesus.
I wont watch them becuase they depict Jesus as an acid tripping hippie

Interestingly enough.........Never have i hears so much talk about
Watching a rated R movies as I have about watching the Matrix reloaded.
Some who swore they would never watch a rated r movie are gonna go see it.
I figure with all the JW's who are gonna watch it now..it should push this movie over 90 million the first weekend alone!
