  as a daily visitor of this site i am shocked by how judgemental i am.. .

  if someone makes a valid point but does not spell well it colours my judgement.. .

  if someone who is a clown has excellent grammar i give them leeway.. as an aside i am a gramaphobe.. .

  while doing work for a client in her office recently, we got into a light discussion about religion.

  she knew i was one of jehovahs witnesses as our business relationship started while i was still a loyal and believing jw.

  anyway, i said something that she knew didnt quite fit and she said ... i thought you were one of jehovahs witnesses ... i shared my story ... she felt comfortable to confide in me a story as to why, even though she has had dealings with jehovahs witnesses who she thinks are good people, she would never even consider listening to them about their religion.. i asked her if she would write it down for me so that i could share ... she agreed.. this is her experience.. .

  Adamh,

  Every jurisdiciton and ever hospital is different. If a hospital did not seek to force the parents in court then nothing would be done. If the courts allowed the parents the choice nothing would be done.

  How I recently handled JWs at my door

  the jws stopped by my house a couple weeks ago on a saturday morning.

  i knew that with others most likely waiting for them out in the car they probably did not then have much time to engage in any serious conversation.

  so i let them talk while i feigned interest in what they had to say.

  I dont think any God would keep that system in place. Then again I am not bowled over by Jesus who said little new compared to the Greek thinkers and Indian thinkers who proceeded him.

  Christian guy Great use of logic using their own book to hang themselves.

  I should also congratulate you for getting out of the JW frying pan and into the Christian fire. Your belief that you hold the truth of Christ and that you can't spend time on those who contradict your belief shows you gained very little from leaving the JW's.

  You can continue on thinking that a book from god would encourage slaves to be subservient to their masters rather than overthrowing the system of slavery. Before you try to make any historical arguments look first at the Persians who freed the slaves of Babylon (Jews and others) because of their monotheistic religion of Zoroastrianism. They did all that 600 years before your Christ came and failed to free those who were enslaved.

  ...to my boyfriend, we're going to have one of those weddings ('gay' weddings to the straights).. although my jw family know i'm gay, and not going to meetings, only one of my sisters has sussed the situation.

  but i think after 3 years it's about time i told them.

  especially if sometime in the future i'll turn up with a (gay) wedding ring.

  an average of five kingdom halls being constructed daily, almost 8 million brothers and sisters, dissemination of bible literature in 595 languages, 111,795 congregations worldwide, distribution of 179 million bibles available in 116 languages, 239 countries where jehovah's witnesses have a presence, etc.. need i go on?.

  on the other hand........... crisis of conscience, freeminds, the awaa, jw.net, ummmmmm........hmmm........idk six screens or something?

  I consider myself and Evangelical Atheist. I like to preach the word of non-belief. So far I have one convert and I sleep well knowing that I saved her three daughters from being raised as Independent Fundamentalist Baptists.

  2014 Event

  i know its a year away but i wanted to inquire about the hundred year anniversary of 1914. it would be amazing to have a world wide event reguarding all exjws.

  i am nowhere near capable of putting this together but i'd like to propose the largest assembly of exjws ever on october 1st 2014. can it be done?

  Women get screwed over in divorces all the time when they are too passive. If you want to submit to someone submit to your lawyers plan. You need to find a bull dog lawyer and submit to his/her decisions. When you feel bad that he/she is going to kick your abusive husbands ass you just remind yourself that they are in charge. When your husband complains about it you just tell him you are continuing to be submissive and letting your lawyer fight for you.

  Start the new life off in the right way for you and your daughters. Don't be another woman who can barely survive financially because she was to nice to some abusive prick.

  If you need someone to motivate you to do right in you fight pm me!

  ( I dont think you have to be submissive but sometimes it is hard to change everything at once. So if it helps you do what is right for you and your kids use my idea of submission.)
