  Terrible....Kids got spanked where I lived, but nothing like some of you describe....Makes me want to cry, I did when I watched that video. This is why I am so against spanking children.

  the ancient jewish cross by al garza phd is a groundbreaking book just published by createspace (isbn-13: 978-1461133896; april 27, 2011).. i'm about to order this book because it means a lot to me personally.

  i was completely unaware of the history or meaning of ancient hebrew letter taw.

  shaped like a cross and avoided by various jewish rabbi today due to its ties to jesus christ's death since his execution, taw is a pictorgraph used prior to babylonian captivity meaning "mark," "sign," "covenant," "seal," or more specifically, "sign, covenant, and seal of yhwh god" -- and fulfilled when jesus the messiah finalized the covenant on it through his blood so that we could have eternal life.. is the cross jewish or pagan?

  Dr. G does not strike me as a Dr. I like when he lol'ed us. He did not really make any points so we could even know why he was right. Rather that fight with James, why not just say here are the 5 pts that really back up what I have to say?

  i know it is an odd thought but when i was 7 or so and suffering through a meeting, i thought.....'why dont they get them in one room, and get rid of them so that we can live in the new order.

  ' afterall they are going straight to heaven to rule with jesus....not like death is a bad thing in that case.. it makes me laugh now at the simplistic mind set.

  but on some levels it was a genius idea...well it was before i realized that it was a sham..

  Inactive, yet shunned!

  my dad (49) (who was an elder for 10 year and hasnt been to the meetings now since april when i stopped going) sent a message to a younger unbaptised brother (19) in my congregation to see if they would like to get together and jam on their guitars.

  the younger brother responded that he would like to but since my dad hasnt been to the meetings in a long time he feels its innapropriate.. needless to say my dad was a little pi**ed but at the same time he cant understand how he is also now being shunned despite the fact that he isnt even disfellowshipped.

  why do these people show such conditional love when jesus taught the absolute opposite?.

  The woman lawyer does not make you look non culty anymore....My case in point....the Westburo Baptist Church Lawyer, Margie Phelps. Plus we all forget...free skiled labor is rare, the WT will always have a need for these women, regardless of their view of women.

  There are also more women than men in the religion and more women are seeking higher education than men. These points will surely increase their numbers of high profile women.

  Something funny I saw that made me think...

  i was at the store the other day and as i was getting ready to pay, a baby no older than 3 years old came running out of nowhere and stopped, looked at me and sat down.

  it was the weirdest thing as i saw no mother or father in sight... then i looked closer at the shirt the baby was wearing and it made me laugh but at the same time left me thinking.

  soon after that a woman appeared yelling her baby's name and looking everywhere.

  I want your Christmas traditions!

  i have deceided that this year i would like (if you will indulge me) lots of different traditions from lots of different countries and cultures.... so what have you got??.

  i also want to hear what makes your christmas super special... what do you do to make up for all those lost years.. babysprout really believes in santa... all the kids in her class have been telling her he isn't real.

  Well we certainly enjoy gathering around and showing off our feats of strength, namely by wrestling and seeing who can pin the other person. After that there is the airing of the grievances, where we tell the other people how they have failed us during the past year. We end by eating a Pepperidge Farms cake that has been decorated with M&Ms.
