  I'm not happy that this horrible thing was done to you. I am glad that you broke your silence. It takes alot of courage to stand up and say "this happened to me".

  I read your post a few minutes ago, and I had to walk away from the computer. I came back to give you hugs and support and appreciation for what it took to post that.

  You are a silent ram no more. I am sure that your post will help someone here, or lurking to realize that it is always the abuser's fault, regardless of one's bodily reactions.

  Please take care of yourself - and stay around for a long time. We love ya.

  It's been awhile, PLEASE HELP

  it's been about 6 months since my last post.

  what a world of shit i am in now.. some of you may recall a thread i started on my problems with my wife found here at http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.aspx?id=24462&site=3 .

  Apostate Man - My email is open hon. I'm on my second marriage, and we've been separated for five years now due to the vindictive and downright evil barrage from his ex. wife. My husband and I fought for two years for his son and six years to see his daughter. Every month was a new lie - we had to tape every single call; every week was full of calls to his lawyer; every month was a new court date over one of her latest attempts at delay (she was good at this). It tore us apart. She attacked me, him, called his place of business (they are both RNs), called his family. She was on a mission, and it tore us apart.

  His two kids, my step-son and daughter, were caught in the middle of this heavy fire. It was especially hard on Logan, as Jenna was a newborn when it started.

  This is to give you an idea of the sheer ugliness of where I've been with family court - and she went further, pulling my psych records to try to prove I was a danger (she showed those records around - so much for confidentiality) and she accused my daughters of abuse as well. I sat through discoveries where her lawyer pulled apart my childhood, trying to use it as proof. All bull, and it didn't stick - but it took it's toll. I'd like to be there for you through this.

  Do NOT speak to her! As another poster said - get a good lawyer and make sure he/she has teeth! Only speak through the lawyers. Document everything. If she calls you - tape the conversations and date them. I suggest again that you not talk to her though, although you may need to record the calls to your children if she listens or interferes. You have some serious concerns - demand the kids see a child psychologist. Demand it. This is gonna be hell on them. Call Childrens Protection if you feel the need for earlier intervention.

  Why are all angels in JW publications male?

  why are all angels in jw publications male?

  i was thinking about this today, as i notice other christian religions show angels as male and female.

  do you think that this was another way of showing how males were superior to females in their teaching, or that their god "jehovah" was more favorable to the male appearance.

  seems like everything connected to earth is female and everything connected to heaven is male.

  Could be 'cos the short span of time we're with them we're screaming "Oh Gawd!" and other than that, we're grounded to reality.

  Chillin with my daughters and our pets.
  Chocolate, Diet Coke, and anything with vodka.
  Sex.
  Just knowing that if I were to die tomorrow - I've been a great mom.
  Helping people.
  Hugs, sunbeams, the ocean, cruisin in a car to loud music, snuggling, laughing
  And being religion free!

  This list could get quite long, so I'll stop here.

  Saint Satan.... that pretty much sums up cognitive distortions and their affect on our perceptions, but what about chemical imbalances in the brain that cause depression (hence the need for meds) ?

  Hmmm.... Mom. (I love ya mom) But mom wants me to be a martyr like her. She wants me to suffer in silence just like she did. And she gets even with me in many ways 'cos I refuse to heed her example. She's someone who can infuriate the hell out of me. (and I'm working on that, cognitively speaking)

  Larc - you're too damned funny, and a mind reader to boot. Golly. I'm not pissed. I'm not angry. I AM presently suffering depression and seeing a therapist, taking my meds, exercising, reading positive literature etc.

  The reason I'm not amused (which doesn't mean I'm pissed or angry btw) is that someone might actually take her nonsense seriously - which is dangerous. I care - so shoot me.

  Absence as rejection? Again. You're too damned funny. Not that you were even minutely serious about that. But... darling... come back... I need you! I'm nothing without you larc! Why don't you ever listen to me? (sniff) You don't care! That's it! Isn't it! You don't care! (I'm having quite the gigglefest over this)

  And yes, I'm well aware of how cognitive distortions affect our perceptions.
