  More weird JW FB conversation

  sometimes the things they talk about are so unrealistic.

  this person had everyone list occupations/industries that would cease to exist in the paradise.

  it's interesting how they think that everyone is going to turn into a carpenter, builder, farmer, etc.

  So much speculation, assumptions .... the bible says: God will make everything new, that HE will make new heavens and new earth ... that's the problem with that religion, they speculate, assume SO MUCH ... they love GOD for what HE "will give them" NOT for what HE has done for them already.

  The Beth-Shan deed

  The deed to the Beth-Shan house and property were, like Beth-Sarim, made out to Abraham, David, and the other Old Testament "princes." In reading the deed to Beth-Shan, one could get the impression that it is simply Beth-Sarim, part II --the two deeds are very similar. Both of the residences and property were held in "trust" by the Watchtower Society's leaders for the Old Testament "princes" awaiting their return. The deed to Beth-Shan stated in part:

  TO HAVE AND TO HOLD FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES, to wit: Whereas the grantor herein W. P. Heath Jr., was entrusted with the duty and obligation of improving the premises hereinbefore described, and a number of persons... furnished the money for the purpose of improving said premises, and

  WHEREAS the said W. P. Heath, Jr.... has erected a house and other improvements..., and

  WHEREAS the grantor and the other parties interested, and who have contributed toward the improvement of said premises, thoroughly believe and expect the return of faithful men to earth who are hereafter named and who according to the Scriptures (Psalm 45:16 and Isaiah 32:1) shall be made the visible rulers on earth, and desire to prepare said property for them.

  NOW THEREFORE this trust is created and said trustee shall hold the title to said property in trust for the use and benefit of the following named persons, whose names appear in the Bible at the book of Hebrews, chapter eleven, verses one to forty, to wit: Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sara, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Sampson, Jephthae, David, Samuel,

  Until such time as the aforementioned persons return and identify themselves to the legal representatives of the said WATCH TOWER BIBLE & TRACT SOCIETY and the consent of said Society take possession and control of said premises, the President of the WATCH TOWER BIBLE & TRACT SOCIETY shall have the right and be duty bound to direct the management and use of said premises hereby conveyed and to determine who shall be in possession and have the active management thereof.   I once saw a program and had nothing to do with religion ... there was a comment that egyptian authorities don't grant permission to certain places in that country because they fear things mentioned in the bible would be corroborated and this would only help the country of Israel. It made me go hmmmm ...

  Ironic Quote

  My mom is the same ... she has poison running in her veins ... she wants armageddon to com NOW so we could get killed. I actually afraid that in times of the real persecution of real Christians, my mom will be the first to turn me in. She hates our guts for leaving (2 daugters, 1 son) so much that I feel sorry for her. She wants revenge. She hates the fact that in my case I disassociated myself, she keeps bugging the Elders to come see me and they don't even know me. Once I received a call from an Elder from a congregation I didn't know I could tell he was calling just to get my mom out of his back. Just recently she has started persecuting me again ... this time I will write to the GB to resign from their CORPORATION, copy my mother and along the letter I will send a tone of documents and copies of THEIR OWN literature where they contradict themselves, teach false doctrines and prophesy. So I am happy because she is giving me the chance to give her "apostate" literature from her own religion that she woudn't accept from me otherwise.

  KHConf - I had no idea how big it has become!

  if you are a jw in the us or canada, you probably already know about "khconf".

  it is a business that has been set up (presumably by some jws somewhere) that supplies call-in numbers and teleconferencing for shut-ins to listen to kingdom hall meetings.. they have their own website: www.khconf.com.. .

  what i didn't know is how much they've spread!

  They would call him APOSTATE, Archangel Michael, the Antichrist, they would ridiculize him, they would make Jesus so mad that he'd start calling them names like HYPOCRITES - FALSE PROPHETS - then they will use this to tell the world he is demon possessed.

  I wonder also if they'd turn over all the wealth, real estate, insurance, publishing business to Jesus? NOT

  The urge to convert people

  where does the urge to convert people to ones own view come from?.

  i grew up a jehovah's witness and jehovah's witnesses are always right.

  that's where i learned to always be right and it took me years to realize that i could also "agree to disagree", although i still often forget about this.

  I am a Christrian now. I have worked at not trying to convert people or telling that the bible says something about their problems. If I am truly concern for them I pray to the Heavenly Father and put them on the palm of His hand and move on purposedly. The same goes with "judging" people. I repented and ask God for forgiveness b/c as JWs we are taught to JUDGE people ... I am working on loving all creation under the sun and let God deal with them.

  today at the gas station i'm at the register getting my snacks and i happen to glance out the window and see my super j-dub workmate.

  the kind of guy that just can't seem to have a conversation without bringing up spirtual things.

  i don't see him that much because he works another shift, but everytime i do see this guy he asks about how my studies are going, or when am i getting baptized, what's holding me back, or ask me a rhetorical bible question, kinda like quizzing me.

  You are already experiencing some stress - feelings of persecution, anxiety, fight or flight response kicking in, if you don't deal with it NOW soon you will be totally under other people's control.

  Feel for you.

  Jesus's knowledge is supposed to make you FREE not feeling this way. Run FAST while you can.

  Trying to Fade, Now they want to interview me on the SAD!!!

  i resigned as an elder some time ago, have been working on fading, the wife is getting used to the new 'me' (not stressed, better husband and father, etc.

  ), been missing a lot of meetings... even received a few statements such as: 'hi burnedout, it's good to see you!!!

  last sunday, i took my one of my sons to the local dragstrip to show him the races, oops missed the meeting.

  WT turned my dad into an alcoholic too. Burnedout, you are recurring to alcohol as an escape as you cannot "escape" WT yet.

  Lean on God and not alcohol. Take care. Talk to a doctor if you keep like hitting a tree with your car. Life gets better with time. The pain and persecution for leaving the WT is worth the starting over.
