Watchtower emergence of the business end
by Marvin Shilmer inwatchtower emergence of the business end .
today i uploaded a new article to my blog addressing the emergence of watchtower as a business.
though watchtower had always been a business concern, something happened in the late 1920s that forced watchtower to project its business beyond the front office and far into the rank-and-file.

first contradiction in the bible?
by cptkirk incontradiction without the use of an outside medium (such as archaeology, fossil study).
i just stumbled on this after reading the thread about adam and the sexual subliminal message.
i was thinking about adam and eve and chronology, and a contradiction popped up in my head...so i picked up the bible and there it is.. gen 1:27 - god creates adam and eve, tells them to be fruitful.. gen 2:18 - now adam is alone?

One doesn't learn TRUTH and LOVE in the bible ... it is an experience in the spiritual realm

Yeah. I want al my money back for all the books and magazines I paid for with WRONG, ERRONEOUS information, not to mention FALSE prophecy.
The government should TAX this worldwide religion organization (and others) which makes LOTS of money by the lies they sell - trust me TRUE Christians wouldn't mind spreading the GOSPEL with our own money which HUNDREDS of small churches already do. And to non-believers out there you know what I mean when it comes to the specific Watchtower Corporation lies.

Curiosity/ Create the universe Stephen Hawking
by jam inif you have not seen it, it,s on the discovery station.
tonite, 8:00 pm west coast, two parts..

Hawkins missed the fact of the SPIRITUAL REALM ... many religions/people may not believe in a GOD but believe in the spiritual realm.
You should watch the movie "EXPELLED"
I am also very sorry for him and his illness, I think this plays a factor in the way he thinks. Others CHOOSE to think different:

fwd Email claiming 1980 AWAKE! "predicted" this economic crisis
by inkling ini did.
*gag* got it from a family member.
i didn't even acknowledge receipt - i just deleted it.. purza.

A lot of Wall Street FINANCIAL ANALYSTS have been predicting this "economic crisis" ... also a lot of Christian Churches preached about the fall of the economic system - BUT THEY DON'T MAKE MONEY OUT OF IT BY SELLING AWAKES WITH THAT INFO.

JWs are obsessed with persecution
by life is to short inover the weekend i was around a group of jw's.
i have not been in such a setting for along time so it was sort of surreal.. so this one older jw woman started to talk about her neighbors and their little girls and how much she liked them.
she said they were a nice family, etc, that they watch each other homes when they go away on vacation, etc.

Funny thing is that first of all the bible refers to Israel and CHRISTIANS will be persecuted NOT JW's - they are not christians. Right now in middle east countries, Colombia, Mexico Chiapas, China, India, and many other countries, Christians are easy targets for persecution to the point of death because of the simbols - Cross, Churches, etc., JWs go under the radar as they do not use the cross, also when asked they denied being "christians" and tell the governments that they are not part of Christendom - you know how that thing goes. Most of the persecution JWs have experienced they have brought it unto themselves, blood, neutrality (with double standards and hypocresy depending on country), and now that I now how much they lie and manipulate information I wonder how many of those "experiences" we read in the yearbooks are true.
I have also seen the on TV the FLDS guy and the people that belongs to that sect and defends him ,,, it reminds me of JWs. Same mindset ...definitevely we were brainwashed as JWs.
Thank you GOD for set me free.

On A Scale Of 1 to 10 How Much Knowledge Does A Jehovah's Witness Have About Their Religion?
by minimus inyears (many decades) ago, most jws knew what their religion taught.
they could go toe to toe with a minister or priest and make some good points.. i believe today's witness knows little about most of the convoluted teachings and revisions of the "truth".
yesteryear's witnesses got a 9/10.

ZERO ...
When they come to house I point to the back or their magazines or books and ask them to explain the difference between the Watchtower Society of Pennsylvania and the Watchtower Society of New York, I also ask for the names of the Board of Directors, I mean the "governing body". I ask when was the society incorporated, who was the first president ... which is not Charles Russell, etc. Also I point to the different revisions of their bible and ask what's the difference from other versions, etc. I make them see that the WTS is a CORPORATION ...
They run fast from my house complaining that I don't want to listen ...

Watchtower baptism thousands of Children
by Marvin Shilmer inwatchtower baptism thousands of children.
today i uploaded a new article to my blog comparing what watchtower said about jesus and baptizing children with what watchtower had been doing for years.
my article is titled watchtower baptism thousands of children and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2011/08/watchtower-baptism-thousands-of.html.

The pressure of baptizing young children always bothered me - the bible sets a good example as Jesus himself was baptized a grown man. I got baptized or should I say I joined the Watchtower Corporation at 26.
I like the idea of parents dedicating/presenting the children to God like Christian churches do, but you do not force or pressure them into baptism. I am so thankful to God that I didn't raise my kids as JWs. They are 12 and 13 now. Although I was attending meetings while they were still very young 2-3 years old, I was going to the Spanish congregation and they didn't understand a thing - I did this on purpose LOL! Funny that my daughter still remembers how boring Abuelita's (Grandma's) meetings were.

Something that helped me a lot was to discovered for the first time in 40 years the difference combinations of the name Jehovah in Hebrew as written in the English language (I speak Spanish). I also read how the WT used "Jehovah" because of familiarity when indeed God's name is more like YAWEH and that the name "Jehovah" was first used by a catholic monk and many other corrupted info that they teach. Another thing, when I pray, I pray to my FATHER in HEAVEN, and Yes I relate to what you're saying and feeling. The watctower corporation used the name "Jehovah" so much for "branding" purposes (like in marketing) ... to be recognized for that ... yet the NAME under people is saved is JESUS. In my case after leaving that Corporation, I became atheist, gnostic, deist, was into meditation, new age stuff, read hindu, budist, islam stuff... but there are some people that truly are after God's heart ... to them God shows them the way ... the happiness and joy that I have and experience now is undescribable ... now I know that there is a God Creator and that Jesus is the Son of God. I am a believer. I am a Christian now. THE NAMES OF GOD

What are you looking for in ANY religion? The meaning of life? Is it about YOU YOU YOU? Or are you really interested in HIM? Are you interested in the Christian faith or in the Watchtower CORPORATION?
The Christian Gospel is very simple ... The Christian Gospel or 'Good News' is that God has provided - by the life, death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ - a way for human kind, all of whom by nature have rebelled against Him by refusing to acknowledge His right to rule us, to be restored individually into a forgiven relationship with Him through personal faith in Jesus Christ.
and the only question there is to become a follower of JESUS CHRIST is: Do you believe???? True Christian Faith is not commitment to a system of rules and observances, but a PERSONAL relationship of each individual with God through Jesus Christ.
