  well, i saw it.

  you better get ready for everyone's talk about it.. it was 25 % biblical, 75 % fantasy.. noah was mean as a character, his family was great.

  Translating JWFacts to Spanish... Update?

  as you all may know, it is an ongoing project to translate jwfacts to spanish.

  given that there are more than 2 spanish-speaking jw's for every one that speaks english, it can be safely said that spanish is the #1 language in the jw world (even though everything is made originally in english).. the spanish-speaking jw's are harder to convince.

  i attribute it almost 100% to socioeconomic factors.

  Took my son (5 yrs) shooting for his first time.

  i went with my neighbor to an outdoor shooting range in the pawnee national grasslands in colorado.

  its about 2 hours northeast of denver.

  it was awesome.

  Involved with a JW woman

  Is this new donation arrangement for real?

  just read a post on jwsurvey about the new donation arrangement.

  congregations are to pledge a monthly amount to be sent to the society to fund the building of assembly halls and kingdom halls.

  congregations who already have a loan from the society will no longer have to pay back the loan but the amount pledged should not be less than the current monthly repayments to the society.

  Legacy of being brought up a JW: Weird hang-ups

  do you have any weird hang ups that you think are related to your history?

  public speaking i hate hate hate any form of public speaking.

  job interviews, presentations (for job interviews or in the work environment), telephone interviews etc.

  You know sometimes I ask myself if the first 2 hang ups you described - which I also have - are product of my JW upbringing or just my nature as I seen many people - friends, coworkers, general population with the same problem - gosh I even didn't have the courage to join Toastmaster with a group of friends and coworkers (whom I know they were not going to make fun of me or else).

  As far as demons - I lived in Hollywood, CA and due to my job I had access to studios where I saw how they produce the movies and tv shows, duh, I felt very stupid after seing that and I was not afraid anymore, actually I don't like horror movies because I know they are not true.

  and in the spiritual sense I am not afraid because I know that they are afraid of me since Jesus lives in me.

  Need some advice...For my kids

  since being out mentally and missing meetings my children mention people from the hall and i cant help but feel bad that they are missing the association.

  my daughters are 4 and 2 and we live in a small town with not a whole lot to do.

  what activities did you do with your kids?

  There's a lot games that are kind of unknown to people like Spot It, Rory's Story Cubes, you can cook together, make a garden, watch certain educational TV shows together (right now I am watching COSMOS with my kids on Sundays), go to different parks in the city, find community festivals and make sure you go every year. Go to movies and dress up in costume. Visit 99 cents store they have a lot of activities toy for well 99 cents.

  Create family traditions.

  Create your own family holiday.

  Go exploring around your neighborhood. Scavengers hunt.

  Road trips.

  Make your house and OPEN HOUSE in the neighborhood where kids your children's age are welcome to come and play.

  Make play dates with other families.

  Check the newspaper for things to do around the city, or check the internet, there are also directories for families in some cities.

  Start collecting something.

  Ask the children what they want to do and GO for it.

  Buy those 101 children's rhymes songs CDs and dance with them. Act them out too. My kids loved to act out the songs, like the famous "going on a bear hunt"
