I can go on and on and on ...
the watchtower bases their opposition to birthdays by two scriptures, saying something bad happened and god must have put it in there for a reason.
following their logic are there any other things jws shouldnt do because bad things happened in a couple of scriptures?.

earlier this morning, i posted off to the the institute of engineers an application for membership as an "engineering associate":.
- today being just over 40 years since the congregation's retards elders made me abandon my apprenticeship.. (in this part of the world, the pre-1975 hype was taken to that level.
not being content to prevent young persons attending university, they went one step further and treated with hostility any youngster who would "tie up five years of their lives" by entering into an apprenticeship.
Wishing you the best of luck. May all your goals and dreams come true.
i was shocked i do not know why as i have read that the co's were doing this but to hear it with my own ears was unbelievable.
i do not go to the meetings but my husband still does and this week is the co's visit.
i decided that i would listen in to his talk; i swear i have lost some brain cells by doing it but anywho.. he started out by talking about the old story that has been in the wt many times about a little boy who was seven and raised a chicken and gave the money to the society.
The US is the only country I think where money just lays on the street..pennies, dimes, even quarters...I always pick it up and put it in MY pocke...lol
i was doing some research when i found korah's parable on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/korah.
korah incited all the people against moses, arguing that it was impossible to endure the laws instituted by the latter.
he told them the following parable: "a widow, the mother of two young daughters, had a field.
Is this in the Quran?
that's right, a knife and a baby in close proximity.... .

anything goes, so long as you're proving how "wise" king solomon was.. .
Is this for real?
thursday, february 28. jehovah will make known who belongs to him.-num.
16:5. korah lost sight of the fact that jehovah was directing the nation of israel and consequently failed to show loyalty to those whom god was using.
how much wiser it would have been for korah to wait on jehovah for a clearer understanding or for adjustments if those were really needed.
@ DATA - DOG
"The example of Korah is a favorite scare tactic of Religious leaders, and has been used through the ages."
Exactly ... they all miss the whole point of what this story is really telling us about The Messiah Jesus ...

We have to look at the whole context of the situation ... Korah, Datan and Abiram ... yes it was rebelious spirit, but they deep down they were acusing Moses of taking them out of Egypt to kill them in the dessert on his own account not because God sent him ... the Israelites did this time after time ... the Watchtower again it is just milking this story for their own benefit and scare the sheep ...lol...
Actually it has nothing to do with the "elders and others" today ...lol... back then and ONLY back then it had to do with the supremacy of the priesthood ... Moses was a prophet who told the Israelites that another prophet like him would come and that they need to obey him - this being JESUS ... it was important to show that God indeed sent Moses, just like he was going to send Jesus one day ...
Samuel was a descendant of Korah, and some Psalms were written by his descendants too.
So the stories in the bible have a deeper meaning and EVERYTHING in the Law and the Prophets is about The Messiah, Jesus, not the Watchtower CORPORATION .,.
my friends usually walked me home after dark.
but one evening i was so tired that i decided to call a taxi.
the driver didnt take me home.
What's the boy name that the Watchtower uses time after time and again ... I suspect Karin is his sister ... LOL
anyway,
Screaming doesn't "work" all the time, she should said that it worked for her this time ... but she goes on to saying that screaming WORKS ... I would think that for every girl that screaming works for, hundreds are not so lucky ...many victims are found dead with signs that they fought their perpetrator ... all that trash that comes from that CORPORATION you bet it comes with ulterior motives ...
Police gives the same advice to women, scream and give other tips BUT if it doesn't work they don't come short to call you a soliciting, deserving whore for not screaming hard enough to scare the perpetrator as the Watchtower does

subject title refers to the link that i found in another thread, somewhat buried in text, but i thought it deserved to be highlighted.
take the time to read it if you can and just sit and think about it for a second, think about all of the hate and disgust jw's have for the cc and just let that truth settle in.. amazing really.
None.
:)
for Christian Belivers ... he is our "FATHER" ... just like you don't call your dad by the first name, same with God Almighty.
God is not human to have a "personal" name - God described himself but didn't give a "name" in the sense a name it is for us humans. Jesus had a human name JESUS (there were many named Jesus in his time) ... but he alone is the CHRIST .... many gods but only one "I AM"
if the informaiton i am posting is redundant or has been posted, please forgive me.. i know we are all at different stages of this journey.
for me i am still "in" but working towards being out and leaving.
any one in this position or who has been here knows how diffucult of a time this can be.
