@poopsiecakes: i guess you pretty much misunderstood me, and yes God did bring ALL(not few) the animals to Noah on the ark which would mean all you have listed and the rest. i was implying that after the flood all the animals had to go back to locations that suited their living, so yes like the polar bears had to go find colder places to live,

my using adaption was to justify the difference in even same animals, like various gaots and sheep differ from one location to another, same applies to humans, and elephants and snakes and you name it. But in all we are able to justify that all sheep look like sheep though some be very hairly than others, and all humans are humans even though some are fair and others are dark, again all fish are fish even though they differ in size and features from one to another.

Again let me touch on another topic why the concept of evolution is so flawed, have aread at this

when you hear such talks i wonder what come into mind, i mean if you believe we evolved from some lower state to achived this higher level of intelligence, then why not let that process continue, why do we need to mess with genes and DNA and all that to get to the next stage in evolution.

Again in the video posted some pages before, they talked about about how natural selection along with differences in our genes brought about the vast majority of life forms available now. Shouldn't it rather be INTELLIGENT SELECTION?. if you are okay with the idea that some random event is the cause of our existenece today then why not us let that random event repeat itself?, why do we have to get invovled in the process of mixing genes and all. so how do you justify evolution in about a 50 years from now, i mean the people would have learnt that they got to where they are by not natural selection but by intelligent human involments.

It seems believing in evlolution is just a way for people to ingore the maginificence and marvelous interlect behing our existence.

And again what do you have to say about gaint humans that existed in time past?, i would like to see you try and justify that with evolution.

@poopsiecakes: if by evolution you mean life made possible by an intelligent supreme being then yep u got it, but if not then i guess your choice of words is poor. Now ever heard of the word adapt?..yes thats is, thats why different animals and even humans live in specific places around the world. That is why i dont wonder why i have never seen a seal in my life, cos if they lived where i am now they would probably have been burnt to death, same goes for other animals too. And humans are no exeption, just google it.

@simon17 : isnt it funny how people who like to criticise the bible have always been wrong? perhaps you know that the bible has been around far longer than any book we have now, and if you have taken your time to study it you would know how accurate it is. You would have known that the bible NEVER said the earth was created in 7 days

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

So there you go, how long the earth was created is not stated.

again if you really took your time to study the bible you would know that science only proves the authenticy of the bible. Stop spreading false rumors, dont condemn the bible because of mistake people have made in interprating it.

and about the prophecies, at least you acknowledge that it comes to pass.

You can believe whatever you want to, a time is coming, there is going to be a one world government, and the bible stated this long ago, just make sure you dont forget when the time comes.

Does Jesus discredit himself?

most people on this forum believe that the global flood never really occurred.

that being said, jesus references the flood of noah's day.

wasn't jesus around during that time period?

Most people can believe whatever they want to believe and that doesnt affect the truth in anyway, saying the flood never happened means calling Jesus a lair, and calling God a lair too, and the bible says if you sin against the son of man you are able to be forgiven BUT if you sin against the Holy spirit then there is no FORGIVENESS. People have to mind the way they handle issues about God. A day is coming when we all would give accounts at to how we lived our lives. Each one can only hope for his or her salvation. God help us all.

My thoughts about John 16:1-3

the gospel according to john is my favourite book of the bible.

i've just picked up where i left off reading it at chapter 16. i havnt looked at the bible since being disfellowshipped and i read the first 3 verses:.

1 i have told you these things so that you wont abandon your faith.2for you will be expelled from the synagogues, and the time is coming when those who kill you will think they are doing a holy service for god.3this is because they have never known the father or me.. jesus encouraged his disciples not to lose their faith, it seems when they would be thrown out of the religion they belonged to.

This seems to be a really big problem in todays church, too many christians just like to depend on their churches, pastors and so on, i mean the word of God is clear about what we ougth to do, follow Jesus and not the church, thats why many are deceived, not because they cant see but because they dont want to see.

No, I would investigate the physics behind how the plane flies, and once I comprehended Bernoulli's Principle, I would understand why the plane flies and it would no longer be a mystery to me.

well you now see the problem here dont you?. comprehend Bernoulli's principle, so now you agree that his principle holds since its been tried and tested right?. so how can you dismiss claims based on just assumptions? do you think you would still hold on to his principles if it failed in test?. NO. In the same way before you bash the claim of the ark being able to hold you have to justify your assumptions in a real world scene and not just on paper.

Similarly, I would investigate the dynamic behind the existence of life, and once I comprehended evolution through natural selection it too would no longer be a mystery to me. With respect, bioflex, you have not done this with your thoughts and beliefs. Evolution through natural selection is incomprehensible to you and you default to creation and intelligent design.

Now i dont really get you, how is evloution comprehensible when in actual facts all the things abound us seem to indicate other wise, i mean since you cant really explaing how life came to be in the first place. Lets consider the video posted above, talking about mistakes in genes over a vely long period of time brought about all the different form of species we have today, i mean how is this ccomprehensible?. Now lets take the case of a computer program, do you think a program with mistakes or random code would function correctly? and what would happen after a very prolonged period of having code with heaps of errror, i am certain the program would be totally buggy or eventually break down. Yet your reason of evolution suggest that these mistakes has rather brought us to this level of intelligence, how is this justifyable?

Again may i ask what evidence you speak of? how do you justify the reasoning that not even a single species of the vast mojority of aminals exist today even though they seemed to be pretty much be on top of the food chain. How do you account for the idea that some fishes evolved over time and attained feartures which allowed them so stay on land, when in actual fact nothing is evident of such case as far as we are concerned, i mean with all our technoligical advancements.

@ Nicholas: hey come on, we are learning right?, i mean you are beginning to sound like the JWs who dont want their authority to be questioned, i am not 15, much older than that, and being 60 does not make you right either.

If you have ever thought of the idea of an aeroplane flying then i am sure you would be trully fascinated about how magnificent it is, i mean with all that weight, but it does work right?. so you never know until you try.

@ 3mozzies : Genesis 1 : 1 - in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. You do realize that the earth is part of the WORLD right?.. the earth could have been created many years before all the accounts of Genesis 1: 3 - 23.

So there you have it, the bible never says the WORLD(universe- earth, trees, waters,sun,man,animals, u name it) was created in seven days. Dont misquote the bible.

@Unshackled : hahahahahahah, loooolz, that video you posted just made my day, i mean did he just say mistakes in genes caused all these variation of animal species, now that is pretty funny.

okay, so i just run a search in goodle and it seems our tipical generation is 25 years, now lets trace back to 200 generations ago, that would be like some 4500 years ago, are you telling me that men back looked like chimpanzees?....hahaha, and since the story of Noah was probably way back i guess then he was quite a chimanzee than a human by then who was told to build an ark, sounds really cool, animal cant even draw a picture of himself and yet can build an ark......lol

you evolution guys are so hilarious, i bet you are in for the fun.

now lets come to precticall terms, ever thought about the evolution of electronics?, do you think mistakes brought us to where we are today in technological advancements, i mean just look at how computers began, it has always been the orchaestration of intelligent, and continued of men who far exceeded the previous, and after all these years compuers are still computers no matter what form the come in.

i should think some 4500 years ago fishes would walk on the earth, i mean mistakes in their genes caused them to lose that ability and stay in water right?.......loooooooolz.

@Nicholas: you do realize that all that you are saying is based on assumption right?, and you do realize that many scientists have had assumptions which have turned out to be wrong when experimentation takes place. why dont you build yourself an ark that large and lets see if its going to be stable or not. You just keep on blabbing all you want, you do know that there have been many scientifical claims in the past that has been debunked, which is mainly due to scientific as advancements.

Let take this example of the the force of gravity, why do you think we still accept it, its because it has been proven to be as told which is evident, that is what science is all about.

So before you claim anything about the ark is a fard, why dont you just go out there and prove it in a real world scenario, then i would believe you.

Then you bring up the issue of genes, do you realize it takes two to make a race right?. Now in case you have not realized, all men LOOK Alike no?., all goats look like goats am i wrong, and all monkeys look like monkeys. Now we might want to use pictures of early civilization of man and lets compare them to men now, do not us all look like men?.. how come there isn't ever any protrait or real life picture of man during early civilizations which even bring us a bit close to apes, Oh sorry, i forgot we had not yet developed the knowlenge of painting or drwing ourselves, NO?

Men will forever look like men, even though we have things that make us all look different from each other like facial structure and all, but in no means can a man look like an ape, even a little kid can tell a difference between the two.

oh and b4 i go, how many generations has it been from the first century to now? quite a lot i suppose and yet i can still tell we look close to them, i mean dont we look human? i am certain i wouldnt mistaken a first century man for an ape, and i am convined you have a pretty damn good eyesight to know that too.

@RayPublisher : if you really studied the account of the flood i am sure you would notice the phrase " the and of all flesh" , which doesnt represent only the known world of Noah but the whole earth in general, many a times people misunderstand the bible, people use the words "WORLD" and "EARTH" as synonymous which is very wrong.

The world in general means everything we know about the universe, it consist of man, the earth, trees, animals, u name it, whereas the Earth represent the earth as we know it to be.
