Since the Australian Royal Commission, a lot of JW elders have been outed for either being pedophiles/molesters or for enabling it. The JW elders who enabled it, are publicly outed to their community online and offline. It's become a congregational matter with the entire Kingdom Hall and someone said that this elder would lose his eldership possibly, due to it "being known in the congregation and community" that he enabled child sexual abuse. Is that even possible?
These JW elders were only following JWorg'srules. JWorg has thrown them under the bus and looks like people are keeping their distance from these elders, including their JW family. If he stays he's constantly under suspicion now, because he's not made himself very popularr in his congregation, , but if he leaves, where can he go? Everyone outside the JW's knows about him now, his work mates, his neighbors, even the EX-Jehovah's Witness support communities online.
Guess that's Karma, but do elders really get deleted or asked to step down when there's "gossip" or even real facts like covering up child abuse known " about them? They followed orders from JWorg to enforce the 2 witness rule. Now they've been thrown under the bus and left to deal with being outed on their own with no help from Mama JWorg or Daddy "Jehovah".

LoisLane and LongHair you both have made a point that I did not think of earlier - which is that for JW culture it's much worse to be a "snitch" and a whistleblower than to actually be a pedophile. The pedophile naturally has an interest in keeping their pedophilia and the 2 witness rule secret. So this is in line with the JWs. But the whistleblower may "stumble" "worldly" people out of "the truth" by exposing the pedophilia, especiallly if they are/were a victim.
Did not think about this, but it is absolutely true. Thanks for that.As for the people who want to disagree that the incidents of child sexual abuse within Jehovah's Witnesses is not higher than Catholic church or other religions, cool. Your thoughts are valid.
Everyone's thoughts are valid. Have found that those that are in a hurry to disagree and prove you wrong, often either fizzle out or end up bringing some valuable new piece of information to the table. :)

Jehovah's people are not happy people
by Phoebe ini finally stopped attending the meetings about 4 months go.
i won't be going back - ever.. but i've decided the best reply to the watchtower is to be happy and i do try to be happy every day even thought i wasted my entire life on this religion.
i cherish every day, practice mindfulness and do my best to be content with the life i have.. it is only now that i see that most jws i know are deeply unhappy people.

Can tell you that I was depressed the entire time in with the JW's and yes, they were on pills and all kinds of things. Knew countless people who suicided, others were on pills and suffered anxiety. It's all an act. There are really very few people if any that you could ever call friends.

You'll need to google a bit to get the #'s, but it shouldn't take you more than 30 to 45 minutes to find them and verfify them with at least 3 different credible *outside* sources.
Keep in mind child sex abuse is extremely underreported and when you're dealing with Jehovah's Witnesses, they have systems in place to reward pedophilia with the 2 witness rule and the pervasive Serpico Syndrome that seems to run through Jehovah's Witnesses bones.

My awakening and concern

i honestly thought it a load of bs until i checked out one glaringly obvious image of a creepy skull in clouds within the knowledge book.
i was shocked and even showed my wife at the time who thought it was creepy.. so my question is why?

It's spiritual rape or spiritual molestation of the mind and spirit. Attempts to infiltrate a person's subconscious, in order to get them to do socially unacceptable and often illegal things on a subtle basis for control purposes. How far can you take it is the name of the game. Not sure as to how effective this is, though.
