I am moved
by rune ini stayed up all night to see it... the buildings out the windows of my apartment shimmer in the distance as a wave of golden light rises from the horizon, painting the sky glorious shades of blue, violet and orange.
the darkness recedes, creeping through the forests before the city.
light, especially a sunrise, holds a special place in my heart.... what moves you?

For me, working with animals is so rewarding. The moment you realise that a poor, abused animal actually trusts you....when they look at you with their big eyes, entrusting their fragile souls to your care...*sniff* Enough to make me cry, especially if it is a canine of some sort.

I try not to look down on anyone. I am agnostic, but it doesn't mean that I don't respect that others have their own thoughts and beliefs. I don't appreciate having them shoved in my face, though.

When a man feels secure enough about himself to cry in front of me.
By far, the sexiest things about a man are when he is very intelligent and extremely funny. I mean English sense of humour...sarcasm is great! And when he can laugh at himself as others take the mickey...just wonderful.
Oh, and a smooth, non-furry chest. :D -

A confrontation
by kwintestal inlast night was one of the toughest nights to date in my adult life.. my parents and grandmother had been repeatedly asking mrs. kwin about arrangements to get to the assembly this comming weekend.
she isn't going and my family were unaware of her change in beliefs regarding the wts.
so, instead of putting things off, not giving an answer, avoiding the situation, we stood up.. i'm not sure how long we were there for, an hour, maybe two but it seemed like forever.

"I've never before seen my mother talk with so much hate in her voice and words."
I'm sorry you're going through this. I experienced the same thing with my mother. -

Slip of the tongue and other embarrassments
by target inlove it when someone is trying to say something and the tongue chooses to rearrange the wording.
i think my favorite was one sunday a particular ms who had a thing for perfectionism was announcing the song to be sung "jehovah's happy people".
it came out "jehovah's happy peepee".

Once an elder in our KH was saying the closing prayer, and was trying to say, "Protect us from Satan's fiery darts." Yeah, you guessed it...he said, "Protect us from Satan's diery farts."

What Made Things Finally "Click" With You To Know This Was Not The Truth?
by minimus infor me it was the realization that there was no "faithful & discreet slave", that all the prophecies "proving" that jehovah's witnesses are the only religion approved by god is bogus and the realization that this is a "cult" and there is no real normal sense of love and affection in the "truth".

The first thing was the UN scandal. That got me looking into it more deeply...that's when I started learning the truth about "the truth."

LOL! As someone who used to live in Ohio, I find that funny. :) And my husband absolutely cannot say Ohio unless I tell him to say it like a Cockney; then it comes out sounding like O-I-O. Otherwise, he ends up saying O-HI-HO, to the amusement of everyone around.
We had a sister like that in our area. Very domineering and pushy, always right, and you had BETTER listen to her or else. One day, I finally snapped and told her off in the middle of the KH after a meeting, in front of loads of people. She never ever bothered me again. :D -

Sad Update on Abuser
by Amazing1914 inhi folks,.
many of you may recall my account of sil's dad.
he was arrested in early 2002, put on trial in 2003, and spent 6 months of a five year sentence in jail for molesting a young girl of twelve.

How could they have put that poor child with a convicted sex offender?! And why did he only serve 6 months when he was sentenced to 5 years?! I hate that! Poor little boy. :(
