Those who bombed London in July last year were not Arab. They were British. They are finding that many of the alleged terrorists they are discovering these days are what they have termed "home-grown." Yes, it would offend me if that sort of policy was adopted. Sounds like Hitler to me.

Would this offend you, if the government made this policy
by free2beme inif the government had this policy .... given that 100% of the terrorist who did 9/11 were arab, and most terrorist are arab.
we as a government will racially profile the arab population and visitors to our country.
spending more time inspecting them, checking them out, and making sure that they are singled out and watched more then any other race.. would this offend you?.

IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN TIME WOULD YOU MARRY YOUR SPOUSE?
by Dansk ini've been thinking a lot about this lately and i would unhesitatingly say 'yes!'.
we've had our ups and downs - almost always my fault .
my god, how our upbringing can affect us!

'Course I would. Not only has he supported me through the really rough times (including the admission of sexual abuse by my father, when we first got involved), he's helped me grow far beyond my sheltered, repressed upbringing. He's my rock.

Leaving the meeting early
by beautifulisfree inwhy is it that when ever you would leave the meetings any earlier then when they were all done...did you feel like everyone was watching you or even sometimes guilty?
sometimes, i would leave at 'halftime' (at the second song) either to go to work or just because i was having trouble dealing with the b.s.
and of course everyone was nosey and would ask my elder dad after the meetings where i went as though i was off to commit some horrible crime.

When I was a kid, we NEVER left early. We got there early and stayed late. When I lived on my own, sometimes I'd leave early, but rarely. But the last few months, I almost never stayed the whole time. Eventually it dawned on me that I could enjoy that feeling of freedom that you get when you leave early even more, if I just didn't go. LOL!

Sad thing is how those who knew about it looked down on me for filing police reports. All except my father, who for once, thought I did something right. *rolls eyes*

My uncle got DF'd for lying about going to the KH when he wasn't. He told his mother he was going to a different cong, and when he got found out, they DF'd him.

I was harassed, stalked, and threatened by a mentally unstable brother. He was a few years younger than me, and developed an obsession with me at a young age. When I was a teen, he threatened to kill anyone who showed the slightest amount of interest in me. He would make sexual remarks about me, and what he wanted to do to me.
As he got older, he would say stuff about how he dreamt about me and our children, sitting at his feet. *runs off to be ill at both the thought of having children with him, and sitting at his feet like some animal*
The older he got, the more threatening he became.
It finally all came to a head when he threatened to rape and kill me, while I was talking to some other people in the KH. Plenty of people heard him. When I went to the elders, they said, "Consider the source." I told them I was, and that I knew he was unstable and had a fascination with knives and martial arts. They tried to blow it off, saying that the fact he was not completely there mentally meant they couldn't do anything about it. I point-blank told them, "If you thought he was capable of making the decision to get baptised, then you can't change your mind now and say he's not mentally capable of deciding between right and wrong. You WILL talk to him and get him to leave me alone, or I will handle it." I think that was the beginning of the end with me and the elders.
They did talk to him, but I found out a few days later that he got a job across the street from me. I called the police in both the city I lived in and the city I worked in, and filed police reports so there would be a record that I was being stalked.
The elders later DF'd him years later, not for repeatedly threatening to rape and kill me, but because he started talking drugs. -

JW Pets????
by thepackage in.
dont you hate it when dubs refer to their pets as jw pets and would not give them a blood transfusion?!?!?!

Crumpet, they figure as no one can get pregnant, might as well have even more fun!
Actually, that's Queenie asserting her dominance. She was also DF'd for telling the elders that the female submission rule was a pile of doggie doo. -

My dogs are all DF'd like me, for unrepentent fornication.
(Ignore the crappy old couch...it was for the dogs.) Queenie is a brazen hussy.
Note for the record: All our dogs are spayed or neutered.

JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES: Inspired, Spirit Directed or Just "Blessed" by God?
by Ms. Whip ini haven't been to a meeting in a while, so i need a little update from an active witness....
...or at least an informed xjw.
i was listening to jr brown (http://www.wtmedia.org/jrbrown-interview-1.wma ) on the silentlambs website ( http://www.silentlambs.org/ ) and the reporter kept asking him to clarify the same issues over and over.

We moved around a lot when I was a kid. Rather than list years and congs, coz I can't remember, I'll just say this:
I attended from 1975 (when I was 2) until 2000 (when I left), and went to the following congregations during that time:
Cuyahoga Falls, OH (most of the time)
North Hill, Akron, OH
Thornton, Akron, OH
Austintown, OH? (I think we went here briefly, if there was a cong there. I was only 6 when we lived in Austintown, so I don't remember if they had their own cong, or if we had to go to Youngstown.)
My father (the bastard) was quite a well-known elder in our area. I often went with him when he gave talks at other halls.
