  Is Governing Body Hysteria Just Emotion?

  the more i read about the kool aid watchtower articles and assembly programs, the more i wonder if most of this reactionary garbage is just triggered by the emotions of thugs like losch and largely unrelated to general witness malaise.. sure, reading 'apostate' blogs or being too chummy with your df'd kids may increase witness disaffiliation.

  but by far, that doesn't begin to capture the core reasons why witnesses are drifting away and, more importantly, it suggests that the governing nazis are grossly blind to how much of a facade their cult has become.

  for every witness eating with their 'faded away' kids, there are five others who are smoking, viewing porn, drinking, and acting like 'worldly people' outside of the kingdom hall.

  i recieved a letter from my jw friend a few days ago who encouraged me to return to the organisation.

  she quoted the following scripture, and although i think its a great one, the jw view of it is twisted.. lord, whom shall we go away to?

  (john 6:66-69) this is the one organization he is using" (wt 75, 9/1, p.531).

  Listening to Jesus, and learning from his apostles; are much more accurate than following any religion.

  True worship is not confined to a nation, priesthood, or religious order. Christ ended all of that.

  The disciples traveled to home congregations, encouraged true believers, and wrote letters.

  These were independent of Jerusalem and Rome, and responsible for their own faith and practices.

  Even evangelists like Paul weren't subject to a pope figure (Peter), or a GB, they just gave suggestions.

  Jesus is where two or three pray; that' "Home Worship", not the KH or any other part of Babylon the Great!

  i would like some more enlightened beings than me to thrash this out.. to start the ball rolling with my small intellect.

  i was always taught from my jw days that nothing came from nothing,and i accepted that.. all of creation had a start,and reproduced itself according to it`s kind according to genesis.

  and of course we now know their are life forms that are a-sexual that reproduce.

  I find pop science more entertaining than the current syfi moves at the cinemas!

  Black holes, string theory, and dark matter; what could be more exciting?

  It's no wonder the big bang theory is "the best bang for the buck" in the media.

  It's been over a decade since I've seen any reference to the multi dimension aspect

  of the physical universe's beginning. Scientists describe it as having 12 to 19 dimensions at play

  during its initial explosion! From that, it cools down to 9 to 7; where space and time are non-existent.

  Imagine the power it took to pull that off! Now think;

  The One who did it must have the ability to live within a multi-dimensional plain,

  without the normal constraints of time-space. Hence; God!

  Why do Jehovah’s Witnesses send their mentally ill door to door?

  this has been a question i have asked over and over even when i was a very devout jw.

  please do not get me wrong in thinking that i am trying to be mean or cruel or unkind to those who have mental illness, that is not in the least where i am going with this.

  what i mean is i think it is cruel to send them door to door, it puts way to much stress on them and it looks bad for the name jehovah.. it seemed that in every hall i have ever been in there were some people who were extremely mentally ill. there have always been some in every hall who were schizophrenics or suffered major depression, or other forms of mental illness.

  "Great darkness' 'befalls' all "false prophets,"

  given enough time; this happens to all of "Babylon the Great!"

  The WT, though; does have allot of average to "aware' individuals.

  But since they serve a GB that's concerned about numbers,

  it mostly goes to drawing in those who don't think for themselves,

  or people who love participating in aggressive cliques!

  do you think that the WT will fall along with Babylon the Great, or later as an anti-christ religion of the Devil?

  out of interest, i have just been scanning through the four latest available watchtower study articles (july thru october 2011) and in doing so i am reading them objectively for the first time.

  i have been shocked, outraged and amazed by some of my findings.. as one example, take the article "a history-making meeting" from the august 15th watchtower, 2011. the article, beginning on page 18, discusses the 126th annual meeting of the watch tower bible and tract society, and begins with a summary of the opening talk by governing body member stephen lett.

  it concludes the highlights of his talk in this way:.

  i was just glancing at the back of the october 15th watchtower and the questions from readers.

  the question under discussion is "what should i do when i have a question about something i read in the bible or when i need advice about a personal problem?".

  the article goes on to discuss how we should consult the watch tower publications index among the many 'tools' that have been provided by the faithful and discreet slave whenever we have a question that is not directly discussed in the publications.. one statement really caught my eye, because it's the first time i've ever seen the society actually dissuade people from writing in with questions.
